Fun Food Blog
I enjoy reading food blogs that have recipes and directions that include photos. It is always fun to look at real pictures of how to make a meal. I am a fan of a very cool blog called "Reclaim Dinner" that I enjoy reading. This blog has various posts about recipes and how to prepare different foods along with some great photos. This blog even did a little feature post about me! You can read the post here: http://reclaimdinner.blogspot.com/2009/06/which-blog-wednesday-mommy.html.

PeaceKeeper Cause-Metics Review
If you love to buy makeup, you are going to want to check out the products from PeaceKeeper Cause-metics. What makes buying cosmetics from this company different from any other is the fact that they donate their after-tax distributable profits to women’s health advocacy and urgent human rights issues. By buying your cosmetics from PeaceKeeper Cause, you are helping out a good cause! I received four different products from PeaceKeeper Cause-Metics.

The first product is the Peace-Keeper Nail Paint. I received the "Paint Me Tranquil" color. This is a neutral color which my daughters really liked. They have 9 different colors to choose from. Their nail paint has been rated by the Environmental Working Group as the Safest Paint-Based Natural Nail Polish. It is formaldehyde, toulene and animal testing free.

The second product is the Eco-Sensual Balm. This is an natural lip balm made of organic palm oils, organic extra virgin olive oil, candelilla wax, organic jojoba oil, organic coconut oil and other natural ingredients. This is a clear lip balm that really moisturizes your lips. It is so good it was the winner of the Healthy Beauty Awards Best Lip Balm! This is a product that even men can use! They even have a pink "Perfect As Is" lip balm that has organic rose flavor. I have not tried this one yet.

The third product I got to review is the PeaceKeeper Lip Gloss. One thing I noticed about this lip gloss was the fragrance. It actually smelled good. Normally lip gloss has a funny scent to me. I received their "Stillness" color. Stillness is a neutral peachy-beige and gold shimmer color. This stuff is light, creamy and looks really good on my lips! This stuff comes in five different colors.

The fourth product I reviewed is the PeaceKeeper Lip Paint. Lipstick is one thing that I love to wear. I have to apply a lip liner before I apply my lipstick though. I received the "Paint Me Intuitive" color. This actually is a color that I like to wear. I don't wear pink or red lipsticks, I prefer the brownish colors and wine colors. This lip paint is creamy and long lasting. It is currently available in 12 different colors.

PeaceKeeper also has a nail polish remover that I have not yet tried. If you are looking to purchase new lipstick, lip gloss, lip gloss or nail polish, check out their selection of products. You might feel better about your purchase if you know some of the money went to a good cause.

CoverBee Laptop Sleeve Review
If you have a notebook or laptop computer, you probably want to keep it protected if you are to take it somewhere. I know when I take my laptop out of my home, I want to make sure it is protected as it is one of my most valuable possessions.

CoverBee has created some very cute and stylish laptop sleeves I have seen yet. I was lucky enough to receive one of their Posh Leopard Sleeves. It is so soft that I wish it was a sleeve for one of my pillows. The inside is made up of a quilted gold linen. When I received this, my daughter Hailey wanted one for her laptop. I think that may just be a nice item to put on my Christmas shopping list for her.

These stylish laptop sleeves come in a variety of designs. I happen to like all of them but favor the Posh Leopard design the best. They come in different sizes too, depending on the size of your laptop. Coverbee is located in Holland and offers FREE Shipping when you purchase on of their sleeves.

If you are looking for an affordable and stylish way to cover up your laptop, check out CoverBee's laptop sleeves at: http://www.coverbee.com.

Cute Little Hummingbirds
When I spot a hummingbird outside, I am always amazed with how fast their little wings are flapping. You don't get to watch them very long before they fly away. I recently had a sprinkler going in my backyard and was so amazed to watch this cute little hummingbird try to drink out of the water coming out of the sprinkler.

I was reading online that hummingbirds migrate. Their migration is part of their lifecycle and necessary for their survival. Now this was some information I never knew about these birds. Since I don't have a big dog in the backyard or any cats, I would like to buy some hummingbird feeders for my backyard. It would be fun to see if they come to my backyard to eat!

I Want A Pool Like NOW!
Today is a very hot day here in California. I don't even want to leave my house because it is so darn hot. I have A/C in my SUV, but that means draining my gas tank going anywhere. I envy all of my friends and families that have pools in their backyards. I yearn to have a pool in my back yard, even if it is not a built in pool. There are many pools that are affordable now that are not the built in the ground.

If I had lots of money to spend, I would buy one of those aquatic therapy pools. Since swimming is very good exercise, I would definitely get my money out of it. HydroWorx has the ultimate pools for your home. They have the rehab pool and the swim spa. They are not in my price range now, but something I would want when I have the money!

Saving Money & Earn With Iteya
For those that read this blog regularly, you probably already know that I love to save money. Whenever I make a purchase online, I try to see what type of coupons or discounts I can find before I finalize my purchase. There are so many online retailers that offer different types of online promotional codes, why would I want to pass up on some savings. I know you have probably heard that saying "A Penny Saved Is A Penny Earned". I am a true believer in that saying.

I recently found another savings website that I think is pretty cool! This site is Iteya.com and allows customers to save up to 90% off retail at a ton of online stores. When you visit the site you can view coupons and specials at different online stores. You can even print out coupons to use on your groceries when you go shopping offline.

What is different about this website, than I am normally used to is that you can become a member. With the average coupon type websites, you go to the site and search for what you are looking for. With this site, you can become a member and earn gift certificates when you make purchases. Every purchase a user makes online can earn them half their money back in gift certificates. They also list coupon codes product deals, free shipping offers and more. What is awesome is that you can easily earn these Amazon gift cards. With other sites, you have to accumulate a TON of points and probably will rarely earn anything. Since the economy is the way it is, why not earn FREE gift certificates your future purchases? It is easy to earn points on Iteya. Below is an example of some offers you can earn points with:

  • VistaPrint = 3,000 Iteya Points + 150-200 Iteya Points per dollar spent
  • MyPypeline.com Signup for a free account = 5,000 Iteya Points
  • Masterbeat.com Signup for a free account = 2,000 Iteya Points

Another feature of this site that makes it different from most coupon sites is the social network that it has. When you become a user, you can view other profiles, send messages, share wish lists, view photos, blogs and more. If you love to save money and love social networking, you are going to want to become a member of this site. It offers free and cheap ways to save money and earn Amazon gift cards Don't worry, it is FREE to register.

Earth Mama Angel Baby Review

If you love organic products, you are going to want to check out the Earth Mama Angel Baby website. They have a very neat and unique product line for pregnancy, labor ease, postpartum recovery, C-section, breastfeeding support and more. I wish I would have known about this website when I was pregnant this last time with my son. I would have loved to use some of the pregnancy products.

I received a bottle of the Happy Mama Spray. This is a naturally uplifting aromatherapy mist for morning sickness and "The Baby Blues". While I am not pregnant, I still enjoy using the spray while I am working to feel more relaxed. I love aromatherapy products. Happy Mama Spray is made with a safe, proprietary blend that includes lime and ginger pure essential oils. You can use on bed linens, in the air, or any time you can use a pick-me-up (especially if someone is howling to be picked up)! This stuff smells great!

You can purchase a bottle of the Happy Mama Spray or check out Earth Mama Angel Baby at: http://www.earthmamaangelbaby.com

Time To Start Gardening
Now that it is getting hot, I am having to water my outside plants almost every day. I used to have just a few plants until my mom decided to bring me a ton of different plants in different size planters. I woke up one day to having about 10 times the amount of outdoor plants in outdoor planters than I had the day before. I have been wanting to plant some more bulbs in one of my flower gardens. I love when I plant something then I wait for months and a pretty flower blooms. I just love bulbs! I also have two big window box planters that need more plants.

I think I am going to pick a day this month to plant a bunch of new outdoor plants with my kids. I think they would enjoy watching flowers bloom that they helped plant. It will give us something fun to do for the day. I recently wrote an ebook on plants and learned a bunch of helpful tips while I was researching for the ebook.

Celebrity Deaths Today
While I went to take my daughter to get something to eat, I had heard on the radio that Michael Jackson was in the hospital for cardiac arrest. When I got home I logged into Facebook to see posts that he had actually died. I then seen that Farrah Fawcett died as well as Jeff Goldblum. What a devastating day this has been for so many people. It is hard to believe that Michael Jackson is really dead. I was a fan of his when I was a child through my teen years.

My heart goese out to the friends and families for all three of these celebrities.
