MiniMate Review And Giveaway

One thing that I LOVE to drink during the hot summer days is a nice cold strawberry smoothie. I have to have fresh fruit in my smoothies too or it isn’t a smoothie to me! I normally like to mix strawberries with other berries like raspberries and blueberries to make my drink even fruitier and give it more flavor. One thing that I hate when making smoothies is finding that my fruit has gone BAD when I go to make my drink. If you buy fruits and vegetables on a regular basis, you might already know that the refrigerator is not the healthiest place to keep your food.

How many times have you put fruit or veggies in your fridge, just to have them go bad only days later? I have found a neat little appliance that help this problem. This little gadget is called the MiniMate and it helps to eliminate food-born bacteria, mold and viruses through the use of activated oxygen. I had never even heard of “activated oxygen” until I reading about how this product works.  This technology helps keeps your fruits and vegetables stay fresher longer by oxidizing the germs, bacteria and mold that is growing on them as well as oxidizing any chemicals and pesticides that might be present.

We recently have had the opportunity to review one of these MiniMates. I put it on the same shelf in my fridge that I keep my fruit. I was happy to see that my fruit actually did last longer. I now find myself throwing out LESS food than before. The MiniMate gives you a way to make a more healthy environment in your fridge!

Check out this cute commercial for MiniMate. You might think second about the fruits and veggies in your refrigerator!

Nutrition is very important to our family and it is exciting to know that we can keep our fruits and veggies fresher and save money at the same time by eliminating food born bacteria.

  3. Patti F. says:

Extending the life of the fresh fruits and vegetables that we grow in our home garden would be a lifesaver.

  4. Patti F. says:

Just realized that not only does it work on bacteria and mold but the nasty pesticides that non-organic produce brings into your fridge. That is an important aspect of our food chain.

  5. Liza says:

I learned that the MiniMate uses 4 D batteries. I’d love to have it in my produce drawer to help us win the race to use up all the produce from our weekly farm share before it goes bad.

Thanks for the chance to win!

This looks so awesome – on the website I learned that the product has been in use for years with the fresh cut flower industry — we eat a lot of fresh fruit and veggies and I hate discovering mold on my strawberries and blueberries! I would love to try this product!

  7. dana says:

I learned that the MiniMate works great on preserving fresh cut flowers, too, which would be awesome for when we pick up our wedding flowers and want to keep them looking fresh in the fridge!

  8. Angela P says:

I learned that they placed a pint of raspberries in two refrigerators, one with and one without the MiniMate. After seven days, the raspberries in the refrigerator without the MiniMate had spoiled, but those in the one with the MiniMate did not!
I would love to use this to keep my produce fresh so I could safely feed my family and make my own baby food!

It is awesome! Helps keeps your fruits and veggies from spoiling quicker and keeps them fresh.

  17. The minimate extends the life of food by killing germs that can infect your food. Food poisoning is serious and this would be a great way to combat this for the whole family. Plus, I am wasting a lot of money wheny veggies and fruits spoil more quickly then we can eat them!
Thanks for a frugal and healthy giveaway!

  20. I LEARNED THE FOLLOWING kytah00@yahoo.com

Q: How long will it last?
A: The MiniMate has no moving parts so unless it is dropped or something is spilled on it, it should last for many years. It has a 1 year warranty.
