VTech Cordless Answering System Review & Giveaway

Most of my friends and family only use cellphones (except my grandparents of course), but not me. I like having a home phone line in addition to our cell phones.

This month in celebration for St. Patricks Day and the color GREEN, we are using our new Vtech CS6529-14 Cordless Answering System with caller id/call waiting.

I personally LOVE the color of this phone. It has been a long time since I have had a home phone that had a pretty color!

Here are some of the features of this cordless phone system:

Handset speakerphone – Make your conversation hands-free.
Quiet mode – Silence the ringer on the handset and base unit immediately or for an extended period of time.
Backlit keypad and display – The entire keypad illuminates along with the LCD screen.
ECO mode – Uses the power conserving technology that manages consumption for optimal battery performance.
50 name and number phone book directory.
Voicemail waiting indicator

Above are just some of the features of theVTech Cordless CS6529-14 Answering System. I was most excited to find out that you can expand this system up to 5 handsets. Personally I like to have at least 2 handsets. Multiple handsets come in handy when the kids want to talk to their grandma at the same time when she calls.

Not only does this phone come in green there are also other colors too! I might just have to buy a red and blue handset to go with this cool green phone.

Milk Unleashed – Drink Milk Anytime, Anywhere!

My 5 year old son LOVES milk. Usually the first thing he asks for when he wakes up is a glass of milk. He asks for milk with his lunch and dinner too (unlike my other children).

I will admit that I don’t really drink milk that often. I like milk with my cereal and I love to dunk my Oreos in a small glass of milk. I use milk when cooking and baking, but it is something that I don’t really crave. When I drink milk, it has to be cold. It my milk has been sitting out, it isn’t going in my mouth. Maybe I am just being picky but that is how it goes. My son on the other hand will drink a gallon of milk a day if he could.

Just recently one of my daughter’s brought home a little box that had milk inside and said she got it from school. It looked like one of those fruit juice boxes, but it had milk inside which had me interested. Since my son loves milk, I had always wanted a way to bring him milk instead of soda or juice when we pack a picnic lunch. I had always thought that milk needed to be kept in the fridge and never imagined milk being in a box with a straw that a child would want to drink. I was wrong!

I received a variety of the Milk Unleashed milk products and I placed them in the fridge just to see what kind of response I would get. As soon as my two youngest children seen them, they ask right away if they could have one. I was excited to see that they wanted to drink these little cartons of milk. They liked all of them but the strawberry milk, but that is something that I have never liked either.

I was also curious how this milk in a box works, so I did a little looking.

Milk boxes don’t require refrigeration until they’re opened. This eco-friendly packaging keeps the milk safe and maintains the protein, calcium and other important nutrients. Your family can enjoy delicious, nutritious milk anytime, anywhere.

To make this milk safe to drink, the milk has been flash-heated at higher temperatures (ultra-pasteurization) that eliminates bacteria. The milk is then placed into Tetra Pak shelf safe cartons that protect the milk from air, light and other contaminants.

You can save this milk in your pantry, then put in fridge to chill before you drink it. For those that like to have picnics and bring an ice chest full of sodas, be sure to bring some milk now too! There are a variety of flavors including these below that I received:

I Am Finally Part Of The #Fitbit Crew

For the last few months or maybe even longer I have quite a few of my friends on Facebook talking about their Fitbit and how much they love using it. I will have to admit that all the talk of this product had me interested and I hopped online to Amazon a few times tempted to buy one. What I didn’t know until recently is that Fitbit has more than one product. I knew of the Fitbit One, a product that tracks steps, distance, calories burned, floors climbed and sleep cycle and has a site to keep track of your progress.

What I didn’t know was they also have the Fitbit Aria, a Wi-Fi Smart Scale!

Last month I received one of these neat Fitbit Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scales and I am excited. This is a scale that not only displays your weight, but also your BMI and % body fat over time. I am now a member of the Fitbit website and plan to use the tools on the site to get me on the right track to losing some weight.

I will admit that I put off on setting up this scale until today. When I first received it I was anxious to take it out of the box. I then remembered I would need to weight myself to get started. I was afraid of what the scale was going to say so I kept putting setting up the scale off until today when I finally decided to suck it up and get on the darn thing.

Once I installed software off their website and setup my Fitbit account, my computer detected the scale and set up the scale for me to use. Installation was fast and super easy! I can’t wait to use the scale tomorrow and hope to see it show some sort of weight loss on their website. I also am curious to see all the other resources on the site.

Since I just joined their website, I don’t know all the details on how the site works just yet. Stay tuned for my upcoming post next week where I will go into more details on the Fitbit Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale!
