Kidoodle.TV – Shows Just For Kids

A couple months ago I decided to give up cable TV. I didn’t give up watching shows, I just gave up the big bill that I dreaded paying each month. We now use Hulu Plus and Netflix when we want to watch a movie or catch up on the latest episode of one of our favorite shows.

With the kids now on holiday break from school they are going to be looking for shows to watch. Good thing we found Kidoodle.TV that has shows just for kids. Kidoodle.TV is accessible from most Internet-connected devices, including iPad, Mac, PC, laptops, tablets, and smartphones, and will be expanding to gaming consoles, smart TVs and other devices. Right now my kids are using the service on our desktop and I am looking forward to seeing the service on the smart TV platforms.

When you create an account, you then can setup different profiles for each of your children (up to 5 profiles). When you setup each profile you put the age range and select different shows that your child likes. When you login and select a profile, you will see a dashboard with some of your child’s favorite shows.

One thing I really like about Kidoodle.TV is that it features content that is appropriate for its audience and is free of advertising within the service. I also like that that there are parental controls. You have access to age category filtering and title selection and de-selection that allows parents to tailor available content to each of their child’s needs.

Chocolate Bliss Box Review #2013HGG

The Harvard Sweet Chocolate Bliss Box contains eight Chocolate Toffee Cookies and six Double Chocolate Fudge Brownies. I tried the brownies at first and thought they definitely had double the chocolate. For those that crave chocolate like me, these are going to spoil your tastebuds. Mary Poppins 50th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray Combo Pack Review

When I was little I remember watching the movie Mary Poppins and wishing she lived at my house. She seemed so magical and I loved her songs, especially “A Spoonful Of Sugar”, it has always been one of my favorites and sometimes you will catch me singing it, not even watching the movie.

I am sure that many of you have already seen this classic, but now it is available in Blu-ray format with digital restoration. With the combo pack you can go behind-the-scenes as Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins), Dick Van Dyke (Bert), Karen Dotrice (Jane Banks) and composer Richard Sherman reminisce about their time making this movie.

Watch this video clip featuring Julie Andrews, Dick Van Dyke and Richard Sherman as they remember how kindly they were treated on this film and even break into song and dance.

I was excited to add this classic to my Disney movie collection. This would be a great gift for any Mary Poppins fan. I already watched the movie as soon as I received it and will be watching it again with the kids in the next week when they are home from school on break. I want to see if they love watching Mary Poppins just as much as I did when I was young.

Making Hot Cocoa, Cappuccino & Coffee In My Keurig This Winter #MC

We happen to LOVE the Keurig brewer in our home. Our main brewer gets used every single day, sometimes multiple times. We love the brewing system and the variety of K-Cups so much that we have more than one brewer.

If you a true fan of the Keurig like me, you will also have an extra Keurig to bring along with you when you travel!

During the winter months I love me a nice cup of HOT cocoa. We recently tried a few new varieties that including the “Dark Roast” from Caza Trail, the “Cappuccino” and “Hot Cocoa” from Grove Square.

I like coffee but I am also a HUGE fan of chocolate. There are those days and nights (mostly during the winter months) when a cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows or whip cream hits the spot.

We enjoyed all the varieties but my favorite is the Grove Square Hot Cocoa. My husband on the other hand preferred the coffees. He likes to mix both the Caza Trail Dark Roast, the Grove Square Cappuccino along with some creamer and whip cream. He can get creative when it comes to making coffee at home.

With the Grove Square Hot Cocoa, you get 3 different flavors in the box. You get (4) Dark Chocolate, (4) Peppermint and (4) Milk Chocolate. I like all three of the flavors and think the Peppermint flavor was a clever idea, YUM!

When it comes to my preferred cup of coffee, I like my coffee COLD. I have to have it with ice, creamer and of course SUGAR. You can also find me adding extra flavor to my coffee like a drizzle of chocolate or caramel too.

Holiday Products From Hallmark + Giveaway #2013HGG

For as long as I can remember, Hallmark has always been my FAVORITE brand of greeting cards. I remember even when I was little, looking on the back of my cards that I received just to see if the Hallmark name on the back. This holiday Hallmark has some really cute cards that will put a smile on that special someone’s face.

Hallmark not only is popular for their cards, they are also known for their Keepsake Ornaments. This year actually marks the 40th anniversary of the Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments.

My son has a new attraction for wanting things “Star Wars”. He was super excited when I showed him our new Star Wars Yoda Keepsake Ornament before we put it on the tree. He actually wanted to play with it but is fine with it hanging on the tree.

I think Yoda made a pretty cool addition to our tree this year. What do you think?
