Jerky Treats For Dogs From Betsy Farms

I have two little dogs that sometimes get spoiled! This month they have been enjoying a couple of the jerky treats from Betsy Farms. I know that I love jerky so I knew that this would be something that my dogs would really like.

These jerky treats from Betsy Farms are currently available in Turkey, Chicken and Duck and made in the USA from USA-sourced ingredients. We received the Chicken Jerky Recipe and the Turkey Jerky Recipe to try.

When I went to give my two dogs some of these new treats my rabbit Peter came running to see what mom had that she was giving to the dogs. I wish that rabbits didn’t have sensitive stomachs or the dogs would have to share.

My dog Splinter made sure that he came to get a piece of jerky! When it comes to dog treats Splinter can be picky but he actually ran away with his piece to make sure nothing happened to it.

When it comes to Venus she loves almost anything mom has to give her, even vegetables. She was really excited for some chicken jerky!

I am pretty sure that my dogs love these healthy treats because these treats keep them busy chewing strip after strip. I know that I like to enjoy a good snack so it feels good to be able to spoil my dogs too!

Healthy Snacks From Nature’s Bakery #FigLove

Every since I was a child I have enjoyed fig bars. It was was the one sweet treat that I could bring in my lunch that not everyone would want. Now they have rules about sharing foods at school with all the different school allergies but in my days, you could trade food if you wanted. I knew I wanted my fig bars but not everyone else knew just how good they tasted.

My liking for fig bars has rubbed off on my children. My secret wasn’t a secret anymore, my kids found out early that figs are good.

Now that my kids are back to school I have been getting into the groove of making lunches. On some days my kids want to eat the school cafeteria food but on some days they want a lunch from home. I was a little excited when Nature’s Bakery sent me some of their Fig Bars to try. When I received the box and it was full of a variety of flavors to try I was a little excited to see which one I wanted to try first.

Here is a list of the Nature’s Bakery Fig Bar flavors I received:

Apple Cinnamon
Blueberry
Fig
Peach Apricot
Lemon
Mango
Strawberry

It was a hard choice but my first flavor I decided to try was the Apple Cinnamon.

These fig bars are most and full of flavor. They are a soft whole wheat cake bar with a sweet flavored fig filling. What makes them even better is that they are cholesterol free, dairy free and are a great source of fiber, calcium, vitamin K and more!

This year my son who is also my youngest child started the first grade. No more kindergarten for this young man, it is now time to hang out with the big boys! Since he is moving up in the world I wanted to make sure that he was going to have a cool backpack that he could be proud to wear.

Quick & Easy Thai Meals With InnovAsian

One of my favorite times of the day is dinner time with my family. Now that the kids are back to school, dinner is my time to get together as a family, share a good meal and talk about what happened during the day. While most nights you will find me making meals from scratch, there will be nights when I want to take a break from cooking and prepare quick and easy meals with the microwave.

We enjoy a variety of food and I was excited to try the new Lemon Grass Kitchen line from InnovAsian Cuisine. This is one of the first Thai frozen food lines which has been created by Chef Mai Pham. This new line allows you to bring some flair to your freezer without having to prepare a difficult meal.

I like that these frozen meals allow you to prepare some Thai style meals at home in just minutes with minimal effort. With the meal above you simply add the ingredients in a microwave safe bowl, add a couple of tablespoons of water, cover and microwave.You can also choose to use the stove top which takes just a little bit longer. Dishes can be prepared in a microwave in under 6 minutes whereas you can use the stove top and have your meal ready in 12 minutes or less.
