Every year I now look forward to Mother’s Day. Since I have children, I always think of this day as maybe a day to catch a break on something. Since I am always doing chores around the house and doing most of the cooking, my children and husband usually tend to help out a little more on Mother’s Day to make the day special for mom.

Mother’s Day happens to be coming VERY SOON on May 8 and time to hurry and think of what to get for mom before the day is here. I usually try to get my mom a plant of some sort because she is totally into the flowers, plants and gardening kind of thing. For Mother’s Day this year I was asked to review something from ProFlowers since they have a HUGE variety of flowers and gifts that moms LOVE. I took a peek at their Mother’s Day Flowers & Favorite Sections and knew right away what I wanted to review.

I chose to review the Azalea Bonsai For Mom. When it comes to gift giving and flowers, I like to give gifts that won’t die. I like to be able to give someone something that they can water that will bloom again. What is neat about this plant is that it arrives to you in bud form. You then give it some water and before you know it, you will have some pretty flowers.

I am so pleased with this plant. I was a little worried that it was going to be messed up from being shipped to my home, but it was perfect when I opened the box. I now have this pretty Azalea Bonsai in front of my house on the porch that is producing pretty pink flowers for me to see. When it comes to beverages in my house, they don’t last long. I have what might be considered a large family for some, so sometimes we have to buy in bulk to keep our pantries stocked. Since my kids are always looking for something cold to drink, I always first encourage them to drink lots of water. Drinking water can get boring so of course we have to have our alternatives.

So how am I going to Paint It Purple? Painting it purple is exactly what I am going to do. Since my bedroom/office was in need of a new paint job, my husband and I went out and bought PURPLE paint. I had been wanting a more girly color, but my husband would never go for pink. So this weekend, my family and I are going to get our to painting my walls in my room PURPLE.
