Foam Fighters Pacific Game Review

One thing my children have in common is they all love to play games. One type of game we can all say we enjoy is video games. I recently received the Foam Fighters Pacific from Appgear to review. I had planned on playing this game by myself because I often don’t like to share my iPad but my son seen it and begged me if we could play it together. How could I resist?

With the Foam Fighters game, you attach a cool plane to your iPhone, iPad2 and iPod touch and prepare to fly, fight and take damage through your phone. The game comes with 2 full-color fighters and each plane unlocks a different campaign based on it’s historical battles. This game has a multi-player mode which allows you to battle up to 8 of your friends in Skirmish mode over local Wi-Fi.

I think this is a really cool way to play a game on my iPad2. I think my four year old son likes it even more than I do. He is always asking me to play the plane game. This game is available for iPad2, iPhone4 and iPod Touch 4th Generation or better. It is also available for the Android too!

Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar Review + Caribbean Jerk Marinade Recipe

One thing I do like to do is experiment in the kitchen. I like to use different seasonings, spices and other condiments to make my own recipes and dishes that my family will ask for again. Tonight I made some yummy chicken using a Caribbean Jerk Marinade using the Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar.

Tonight I used the Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar Original Flavor in my Caribbean Jerk Marinade. I also used some of the Nakano Seasoned Rice Roasted Garlic Flavor Vinegar with our green beans too!

I was really anxious to try both of the products that I received and both my dishes came out delicious. With the green beans, I cooked them using salt and butter and finished them off with a splash of the seasoned vinegar. Since our green beans are usually pretty plain, this gave them some flavor and I will definitely be making them again this way.

I have never tried a Caribbean Jerk Marinade until tonight. I don’t use packets anymore so I made my own. Checkout a simple Caribbean Jerk Marinade using the Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar:

Nakano Caribbean Jerk Marinade Recipe

Recipe Type: Condiment

Ingredients

1/4 cup Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar Original Flavor
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp packed light brown sugar
2 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in bowl.
Stir well to dissolve the brown sugar making sure there is no lumps.
Marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours prior to cooking. For best results, marinate at least 24 hours if making marinating chicken.

Pillsbury Baguette Chips Review & Giveaway

Since I work from home I often find myself snacking in between meals. I recently have found a new snack that I absolutely LOVE. My family and I have been munching on the new Pillsbury Baguette Chips for the last week and I will have to say that they are ADDICTING. For me I can’t just eat one or two, I have to have at least a dozen because they are so good.

Right now their are two flavors of these chips. We have tried both the Italian Cheese & Herb as well as the YUMMY Cheddar Sun-Dried Tomato. Even though I liked both of these flavors just the same, my family seemed to favor these….

The Pillsbury Baguette Chips are sliced from oven baked bread and them topped with some yummy seasonings that give them their unique flavor. Disney’s Brave Review + Movie Trailer

For the last few months I have been waiting for Brave to come to theaters. Ever since my daughter Hannah and I seen the trailer for the first time, we had talked about how we wanted to see it. This past Monday we had the opportunity to watch a screening of the movie and I jumped at the chance.

Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In Disney’s new movie “Brave,” a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts. Merida is a skilled archer and also the daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor.

On a mission to carve her own path on life, Merida turns to an old witch for help, but is granted an ill-fated wish that turns the kingdom into complete chaos. Instead of doing something for the good, she ends up turning her mother into a beast and has to break the curse before it is too late.

This movie was full of action and I was excited to see that it was in Disney Digital 3D. When it comes to Disney movies and princesses, this movie definitely puts a twist on things. For me, I LOVE this movie because it is a story about a daughter who goes to crazy lengths to save her mom. Even though she was the one at fault, this daughter has so much compassion for her mom that she will do whatever it takes to take away the curse. My daughter Hannah who is 7 also thought the movie was great and thanked me several times for taking her to see it.
