With teenage daughters in my house I have to keep beauty supplies on hand to help avoid ACNE. I am in my thirties and still get blemishes on occasion and I know what it is like being a teenager in middle school and high school dealing with it. With that said, I am always up to try new beauty products when it comes to acne prevention….
Radio Rebel DVD Review
This weekend I got a chance to watch Radio Rebel with my daughters. My daughter Hannah liked the movie so much she asked to take the DVD in her room to watch it again. When it first started playing, she immediately recognized characters from the Disney Channel.
In Radio Rebel, high school student Tara is so shy that she can’t even write one word on the white board in front of her class. What everyone else doesn’t know is that Tara happens to be Radio Rebel, one of the most popular DJ’s in Seattle. At home in her room, Tara puts on her headset and does her daily podcast where she becomes confident, outspoken and even inspiring because she is an anonymous voice on the airwaves. Once her step-dad that happens to be the owner and producer at SLAM radio find out about his step-daughters success as Radio Rebel, he moves her from her room to a sound studio to do live shows for him.
The plot in the movie gets even better when Radio Rebel starts talking and questioning her school’s staff and Principal Moreno cancels Prom and gets all the students UPSET.
Take a peek at the clip below:
You will have to watch the movie to find out how it ends! Right now you can score this Radio Rebel on Amazon for only $20.93 & eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping.

Foam Fighters Pacific Game Review
One thing my children have in common is they all love to play games. One type of game we can all say we enjoy is video games. I recently received the Foam Fighters Pacific from Appgear to review. I had planned on playing this game by myself because I often don’t like to share my iPad but my son seen it and begged me if we could play it together. How could I resist?
With the Foam Fighters game, you attach a cool plane to your iPhone, iPad2 and iPod touch and prepare to fly, fight and take damage through your phone. The game comes with 2 full-color fighters and each plane unlocks a different campaign based on it’s historical battles. This game has a multi-player mode which allows you to battle up to 8 of your friends in Skirmish mode over local Wi-Fi.
Want to see how this works? Take a peek at the Foam Fighters video below:
I think this is a really cool way to play a game on my iPad2. I think my four year old son likes it even more than I do. He is always asking me to play the plane game. This game is available for iPad2, iPhone4 and iPod Touch 4th Generation or better. It is also available for the Android too!

Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar Review + Caribbean Jerk Marinade Recipe
One thing I do like to do is experiment in the kitchen. I like to use different seasonings, spices and other condiments to make my own recipes and dishes that my family will ask for again. Tonight I made some yummy chicken using a Caribbean Jerk Marinade using the Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar.
I also made use of the George Forman Grill. Take a peek at my meat…
Tonight I used the Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar Original Flavor in my Caribbean Jerk Marinade. I also used some of the Nakano Seasoned Rice Roasted Garlic Flavor Vinegar with our green beans too!
I was really anxious to try both of the products that I received and both my dishes came out delicious. With the green beans, I cooked them using salt and butter and finished them off with a splash of the seasoned vinegar. Since our green beans are usually pretty plain, this gave them some flavor and I will definitely be making them again this way.
I have never tried a Caribbean Jerk Marinade until tonight. I don’t use packets anymore so I made my own. Checkout a simple Caribbean Jerk Marinade using the Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar:
| Nakano Caribbean Jerk Marinade Recipe |
- 1/4 cup Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar Original Flavor
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp packed light brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground allspice
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 tsp ground nutmeg
- Combine all ingredients in bowl.
- Stir well to dissolve the brown sugar making sure there is no lumps.
- Marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours prior to cooking. For best results, marinate at least 24 hours if making marinating chicken.
This marinade recipe was adapted from the Nakano recipes that can be found on their website. There are also quite a few more I would like to try as well as the other seasoned vinegar flavors. Find more recipes using the Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar at: https://mizkan.com/recipes/.

Pillsbury Baguette Chips Review & Giveaway

Since I work from home I often find myself snacking in between meals. I recently have found a new snack that I absolutely LOVE. My family and I have been munching on the new Pillsbury Baguette Chips for the last week and I will have to say that they are ADDICTING. For me I can’t just eat one or two, I have to have at least a dozen because they are so good.
Right now their are two flavors of these chips. We have tried both the Italian Cheese & Herb as well as the YUMMY Cheddar Sun-Dried Tomato. Even though I liked both of these flavors just the same, my family seemed to favor these….
The Pillsbury Baguette Chips are sliced from oven baked bread and them topped with some yummy seasonings that give them their unique flavor. If you are a fan of the sourdough style chips like I am, you are for sure going to love these. We have been eating these chips alone as a snack, but you can also use them with your favorite dip, add some flavor to your soup, or maybe add some crunch to your salad!
Not only are they good, they might be a healthier snack than the chips in your pantry with being only 130 calories per serving. To download a printable coupon for $0.75 off one package, you and your readers can visit https://bit.ly/PBCcoupon today!
