There are many days when it is sunny outside that you will catch me wearing long sleeves. Not because I am cold, because I want to protect my sun from the skin. There are so many people that have skin cancer or going to get skin cancer that is scares me. I used to use a tanning booth to get color on my skin until I read a magazine article on a flight home last year about a young lady that got skin cancer from continuous use of those lights in the tanning bed.
Coppertone has a product out on the market called Tattoo Guard that contains UVA/UVB sunscreen to help protect against UV rays that can fade or blur tattoos. If you have a tattoo that you like, you will probably tell me that it hurt getting it. You probably also don’t want that tattoo to fade, especially if you spent a pretty penny on it. Tattoos can be expensive and with exposure to the sun, can fade and not look so pretty.
You can currently purchase the Tattoo Guard from Coppertone in both the lotion for and sunscreen stick. Here are some of the features you might want to know:
- Lotion great for larger tattooed areas
- Moisturizing formulas help maintain smooth appearance of tattooed skin
- Photostable, broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection
- Water resistant (80 minutes)
- Hypoallergenic & dermatologist tested
I have tattoos that I want to keep looking pretty as long as possible. I carry either the Tattoo Guard lotion or stick in my purse on the sunny days when I know I need some protection from the sun!
