We Are All Smiling For The YUMMY Dreyer’s Slow Churned Ice Cream

When it is hot I often crave something cold and sweet like ice cream. Okay, I crave ice cream even when it is cold. Today is was 105 degrees in California and I thought I would spoil the kids today with some ice cream. When I went to the store I had a couple coupons for the Dreyer’s Slow Churned 5.8 oz tubs of ice cream.

I thought I scored when I seen they were on SALE for 99 cents so I bought four of them.

As I was driving home I was thinking I should have bought more, maybe one of each of the flavors. I have tried this ice cream once before, the Cookies and Cream and LOVED it so I really was excited to try the others.

When I got home there were SMILES on my children’s faces, especially my son. He immediately wanted to stack them first before we got to enjoy them.

I love that this ice cream comes in these small sizes. I like to watch what I eat but sometimes find it hard to not indulge on ice cream if it is in the freezer waiting for me to eat it. These make portion control easy unless you eat more than one tub. 🙂

What I like most about this ice cream is that it is half the fat, and one-third fewer calories. I didn’t know this information before when I tried it but now that I know, I will be definitely grabbing the Dreyer’s Slow Churned Ice Cream more often.

I’m Learning With Lynda.com

For the last year or more I have been wanting to join Lynda.com. I am one of those people that LOVE to learn but haven’t had the extra time to go sign up for a the college courses I would like to take. With that being said, I am always trying to find new ways to learn the things I want to learn online in my free time.

For those that have never heard of Lynda.com, it is a site that offers over 1,420 online courses and over 80,000 videos covering a HUGE variety of topics. This is perfect for those of you that want to learn at home online and learn only the topics that you choose whenever you want. With Lynda.com you are able to learn at your own pace (perfect for me) and a way to always keep up to date.

Since the kids are going back to school next week, I will be learning some things at home too while they are learning at school. Since I own a Nikon D5100 that I only know how to shoot in Auto mode, I thought I would smart to watch the videos available for my Nikon D5100 on the Lynda.com website.

Why I Now Love Toms

Last school year I heard my daughter Hailey talk about these shoes called Toms. I remember quickly looking online for a price and when I seen how much they cost, I clicked off. They reminded me of the China flats I used to wear when I was young but definitely a little more expensive.

I kind of forgot about Toms until a few months ago when I seen a really CUTE pair of Toms Wedges on Pinterest. Later that day I happened to see the same pair at Nordstroms and I knew wanted them. I didn’t buy the Toms but I had my eye on them and thought to myself I was going to get me a pair. Once it was time for BlogHer, my friend Carrie With Children tweeted online she was going to wear her sparkly glitter silver Toms. That caught my interest and I went to the Toms website to find out why I would be ordering my own pair.

When you buy a pair of Toms, a pair of shoes is then given to a child in need. Their motto = “One For One” and I love it! After I ordered my pair of Toms I ordered Hailey the pair of CUTE white Toms she had been wanting too.

Knowing that 2 pairs of shoes will be donated to 2 children in need makes me feel good inside and I plan to buy more, like the WEDGES!

Champions For Kids Spinbrush Simple Service Project Donation Made – #SpinbrushCFK

Over the past week or so I have been working on a Champions For Kids Simple Service Project. I have been working on the Spinbrush Spin Into Action campaign that has been designed to help children smile. Once I learned about this project and that tooth decay is one of the most common diseases of childhood, I knew I wanted to help.

With the Spinbrush Spin Into Action campaign, I was to gather friends and family to provide toothbrushes, toothpaste and other dental care items for my community. I then was to give the dental care items that I collected to an organization in my community that serves children so that the children can celebrate with healthy smiles and happier lives. …
