I am excited and so are my kids! Disney On Ice is coming to Sacramento next week (Nov 1 – Nov 4) and we will be going! Not only is it Disney On Ice, this happens to be the Disney On Ice’s 100 Years Of Magic Celebration. With this show there will be 18 classic stories to see, 24 unforgettable songs and over 60 Disney characters.
I have been to a few of these shows and they have always been fun. With over 60 of the Disney characters, this show is sure to be a blast! Normally the show has a theme like Toy Story 3, this time there is going to be so many different story characters that there is no way the kids are going to get bored.

My son is 4 and he is at the age where he LOVES dinosaurs. Last year he was a green dinosaur and this year he is dressing up as Buddy from the Dinosaur Train. My son LOVES this show and there is a lot of days where the Dinosaur Train Song for the show is stuck in my head while I am trying to write a post.
For those of you with Dinosaur Train fans at home, checkout these two CUTE costumes for the characters Buddy and Tiny that are available from California Costume Collections.
Here is a picture of my son wearing the costume…
When I took the Buddy costume out of the package my son asked if he could try it on. I told him only if he let me take some pictures. After taking the pictures, he didn’t want to take it off. He has asked me several times since if he could wear it, but I want to make sure it is nice and clean before Halloween. The costume is made of a soft fabric.
The costume is also really bright orange and very colorful.
Can you imagine what my neighbors thought when they seen this running around in my yard…
When I put him in the costume I didn’t even realize that it had the shoe covers in the bag. So if you buy the costume, you will also receive a pair of orange shoe covers too that look like dino feet! If you choose to go with Tiny from the Dinosaur Train, the costume includes the green colored Pteranodon jumpsuit pictured above, Tiny the dinosaur hood, and green shoe covers.
The Dinosaur Train Buddy and Tiny costumes are currently available at various retail locations and online stores across the U.S. Visit: https://californiacostumes.com/locations
If you are feeling a little crafty, you can also make a Dinosaur Train Buddy Costume at home. Take a peek at this video:
A little something for my bookworms…
Here is a little spooky fun! If you have a little one that likes books they might just want a copy of The Spooky Scavenger Hunt from Penguin Young Readers Group in which Mr. Pteranodon takes Buddy and Tiny on a nighttime trip to the Big Pond for a spooky nature walk! Mr. Pteranodon and the conductor insist they can’t be scared, but when the conductor’s mom jumps out at them, everyone gets a good scare!
If you are looking for a spooky Halloween read for your child, this might be a great story to end the fun night. This book is recommended for those children ages 4 – 8; SRP $3.99.
There are also Halloween themed episodes from Dinosaur Train to air on PBS Kids® too!

Every since I got my Blu-ray player a couple years ago, I prefer to collect the Blu-ray movies over the traditional DVDs. This month I have added two movies to my collection that I recommend you see too!
The first movie I recommend adding is People Like Us. I wanted to see this in the theater but didn’t never get a chance. I have a copy of People Like Us on Blu-ray and watched it last weekend. For those that like the drama movies that have inspiration, you will definitely want to watch too!
People Like Us is a great but emotional movie that is inspired by true life events about Sam, a young and fast-talking salesman whose latest deal collapses the day he learns of his father’s sudden death. Sam is then called home to put his father’s estate in order where he finds out about an estranged sister and nephew that he never knew existed. His life then turns upside down as he tries to get to know a family he barely knows.

The second movie that I recommend adding to your Blu-ray collection is one of my FAVORITE movies growing up, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. I don’t know about you, but I was excited to find out that this was coming out on Blu-ray and couldn’t wait to get my hands on a copy.
This movie originally premiered back in in 1982 when I was only 6 years old and it definitely captured the imaginations of people of all ages. When E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial came out in theaters, it became one the biggest blockbusters of the year and was ranked the #1 movie for over 16 different weekends. I loved the movie so much that I used to have E.T stuffed animals and toys and know I probably have seen this movie at least a few dozen times if not more. I also remember trying to imitate the voice of E.T. when I was young. 🙂
This month, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial celebrated its 30th Anniversary with its first-ever release on Blu-ray™ released on October 9, 2012. The new Anniversary Edition Blu-ray Combo pack includes the originally 1982 theatrical movie, an all-new interview with director Steven Spielberg, and “The E.T. Journals” that feature never-before-seen footage from the set of the film. As an extra bonus, this Blu-ray™ Combo Pack also includes UltraViolet™, a DVD and a Digital Copy of the film, offering fans a chance to relive the mystery, laughter and wonder of the iconic movie anytime, anywhere on the platform of their choice.
Right now you can buy E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Anniversary Edition Combo Pack on sale at Amazon for only $19.99.
