I happen to be one of those lucky moms with 3 beautiful daughters. Of those three, I have a teen and a tween and one that will be 8 next month and on her way to be a tween before I know it. I have recently became a U By Kotex Mom Ambassador too and I am PROUD!

My poor husband! Of the 4 females in the house, 3 of us have our lovely period each month.  Before our daughters started our period, they were prepared and knew what to expect. We are one of those families that keep it real with our children and don’t try to sugar coat things that don’t need to be. For me, I would rather then be prepared then to not be prepared. I started my period in 7th grade during PE. Luckily I knew what to expect and had always thought I wanted to make sure that my kids were prepared in case they were to start their period at school like I did.

I just LOVE this video because Aimee is so supportive of  her mom being straight forward with her about everything in life. That is how I feel when it comes to my children. Over the years the world has definitely changed and I want my kids to always be prepared, be themselves and be ready for the challenges of the world.

What I didn’t know until recently is that some girls start their period as early as 8 years old. Since my youngest daughter will be turning 8 in a month, I am now thinking that maybe mom needs to sit down and have the “girl talk” with her. She is only going into the third grade, but doesn’t really know too much about what a menstrual period is. I am sure she has heard of pads and tampons because of her sisters and I, but I don’t think she understands what it is all about.

I happen to be totally EXCITED about becoming a U By Kotex Mom Ambassador. These products happen to be something that I happen to buy for my daughters and a brand that I am proud to support. I have been thinking about going back to school to take some refresher courses. I went to a couple colleges when I graduated, but my adventures in the online world, the technology is always changing. One thing that is always expensive is textbooks! Did you know there is a such thing as textbook rentals?

There are classes that I want to take to learn things that will benefit not only me, but my business too. For me I love books, so I would only think about renting textbooks for books I really don’t care to keep. Since I have have completed a TON of college courses, I have a ton of books lying around that I will never use. Those books that I haven’t touch since I finished the class are the type of books that I would rather rent in the future.

For those looking to go to college but worried about all the costs of buying books, you might be interested in this type of service. When it comes to movies or TV shows, I am a big fan of those including Ashley Judd. There is just something about this lady that I really like. A couple days ago I started watching Missing, The Complete First Season which consists of 3 DVDs that include a total of 10 episodes.

Synopsis: After Becca Winstone’s son disappears while overseas for a summer internship, she takes it upon herself to travel to Europe to track him down. It soon becomes clear that Becca is no ordinary soccer mom, but a former CIA agent deactivated after the devastating death of her husband. If she wants to find her son alive, Becca will have to rely on old friends and old enemies thus reopening old wounds.

After watching the first episode of the first DVD of the set I was hooked. Through all 10 action packed episodes, Becca (Ashley Judd) goes out at extreme lengths to find her one and only son. Being a mom, I love the compassion that this character showed for the only thing she had left in the world. During these episodes this lady takes some criminals down.

I love movies with action and suspense and I love the role that Ashley Judd plays in this movie. The ending was almost perfect until it leaves you hanging for the next season which I read online that was cancelled which is a big bummer since I really enjoyed watching it.  Even though I am disappointed there is not going to be a second season, I still recommend watching this show!

Do you have a little girl that likes to play with dolls? For me, I have 3 daughters and have bought and seen quite the variety of dolls throughout the years, including the ones that I have played with myself being a girly girl.
