Tillamook Ice Cream – A Great Way To End A BBQ

Last month I discovered that not only does Tillamook have some delicious cheese that I have been buying for years, they also have ice cream. I got to try the ice cream last month for the first time at the Tillamook Loaf Love Tour in Sacramento. Then my family got to try it this month and quite a few different yummy flavors.

This month when I received some containers of Tillamook Ice Cream for a BBQ I was hosting at my house and I think my son was the most excited the most. He knows that mom loves to take pictures of almost everything we receive, so he was anxious for a little ice cream photo shoot!

I am not sure if my son was more excited that we received the ice cream to eat or that it would be really fun to use the containers to stack them as high as he could. Unfortunately he couldn’t play too long with this ice cream because it had to be put in the freezer to keep frozen.

So after we enjoyed our dinner with some burgers and chicken, it was time to get out the YUMMY Tillamook Ice Cream. We received 5 different flavors of Tillamook Ice Cream, but they actually currently have 30 different flavors that they make. Some of the flavors are available at the Tillamook Factory only that I wish I could someday visit.

We got to try the Vanilla Bean, Oregon Strawberry, Tillamook Mudslide, Marionberry Pie and Udderly Chocolate ice cream flavors.

I was curious to see just what flavors were going to go first with having 7 kids at the house and 6 adults. All five of the flavors we had were all a hit, but I had most of the Marionberry Pie flavor left over which was fine with me because it is delicious. The strawberry was definitely a hit and I am glad I had two containers of it. The two chocolate flavors were also a big hit with the kids.

My daughter thought it would be creative to use some of the Tillamook Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with some soda in a cup with some soda to make a float. I thought it would be more interesting to put a scoop of each flavor in my bowl.

I would have to say that my favorites are the Oregon Strawberry and the Udderly Chocolate although I enjoyed trying them all. Tillamook just started putting their ice cream in the shelves of stores in California and I am excited to be able to buy their ice cream. I just hope to see it in more stores that I shop at as well as the other flavors I have not tried with.

Moxie Girlz Bubble Bath Surprise Doll Sophina Review & Giveaway

I have three daughters and over the years when I have bought them fun toys and cute girly stuff, I sometimes wish they would have had stuff like they have today back when I was young. For instance, my daughter Hannah has this CUTE Moxie Girlz Bubble Bath Surprise Sophina doll that she has been enjoying playing with this past couple weeks.

When I was little, I would have LOVED to have this doll over all my other dolls. Not only is this doll cute, it also has a little bubbles container so you can blow bubbles, an adorable dogfish toy and can be a bathtime toy because this doll floats!

This summer has been HOT. We have been spending quite a bit of time outside and cooling off in the little kiddy pool. Since this Moxie Girlz Bubble Bath doll floats, Hannah thought it would be fun to let her swim in the pool too!

What I like most about this doll is that it can get wet. I love that my daughter can take her Moxie Girlz Sophina in the tub or pool and watch her float with her special pretty skirt. Here are some of the doll’s features”

Once Upon A Time – Season One On Blu-ray & DVD

Up until a couple weeks ago, I had not heard of ABC’s Once Upon A Time series. I watch TV, but when I get a chance to watch it I am normally watching the shows I recorded on the DVR. Once I put the Once Upon A Time series in the Blu-ray player I was hooked. I even caught my husband stopping to watch what I was watching too. I even got my daughter Hailey hooked. She was more hooked than me and went ahead and finished the series before me. I told her she better not tell me how it ends.

The Evil Queen has cast an evil spell on an enchanted forest filled with fairytale characters. The curse trapped these characters in a place where all their happy endings were stolen – our world. Now the Evil Queen is acting as town mayor, and all of the inhabitants of the fairytale world of Storybrooke can’t seem to remember any details of their past lives. As the truth starts to unfold, the battle between good and evil begins. Bonus materials include “Welcome To Storybrooke,” a feature that takes you on a tour of the town that was the inspiration for the show, deleted scenes, audio commentaries, bloopers, and much, much more!!!

Hasbro’s Twister Dance Review

I remember playing Twister when I was a kid and it being such a silly game. Yesterday we played a new kind of Twister. Hasbro has came out with Twister Dance that can be fun if you like to step to the beat.

With Hasbro’s new Twister Dance, you get today’s best dance music with those iconic Twister colored spots. This game allows you to learn new and fun dance moves in a way that can be really fun.  When you buy the Twister game, it comes pre-installed with the 5 songs below:

  1. “Till the World Ends,” TWISTER REMIX, performed by Britney Spears.
  2. “Whip My Hair,” performed by Willow Smith.
  3. “We R Who We R,” performed by Ke$ha.
  4. “Cupid Shuffle,” performed by Cupid.
  5. And an exclusive track, “Caught Up in a Twister.”

Since I like that Cupid Shuffle song and want to know how to do the dance, my daughter and I started off with the Cupid Shuffle for first song to try this out with. It was a little confusing at first, but once you practice for a few minutes you will get the hang of it. You movie your feet to the colored spots ont he floor that coordinate with the multi-colored LED lights on the Twister Dance console. If you don’t like the songs below, you can plugin your MP3 player to play your own music.

With the Twister Dance, it seems best to use it inside or outdoors when it is dark or getting dark. Since the game has a console that changes colors, it is hard to see the colors outside in the daylight. My daughters originally wanted to use it outside until they noticed they couldn’t see the colors to well so the moved the Twister Dance party inside.

What I like about this version of Twister is that you don’t have to have someone else to play this with, this game is designed for 1 or 2 players. The game is recommended for those ages 8 and up, but my 4 year old son was trying to play along too. This is definitely something I will enjoy playing with my kids too on a family game night.

Jingit – A New App That Allows You To Earn Cash + Box Tops For Your School

I have four children ranging from 4, 8, 13 and 15 years old. Ever since I my oldest started school, I have been clipping the Box Tops For Education coupons and sending them off with my kids to give to their school. I know it isn’t much, but over the years, all of the Box Tops that I have sent in has accumulated. For those that are not familiar with these coupons, they help your schools earn extra CASH which benefits the kids!

When it comes to finding ways to make money online or in my own time, I am for it. When I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, I created my first website and learned how to generate multiple streams of income from home. I am one that likes to be my own boss. Even when I was working outside the home, I was making other sources of income at home at the same time.

I just recently begin using the new app Jingit that I downloaded on my iPhone. The Jingit Phone App allows you to “Check In” at certain locations, scan certain products and then take a quick survey to earn not only CASH in your Jingit account, you can also also earn Box Top Coupons for the school of your choice.  You can currently download this app from the iTunes store or from Google Play for those of you Android users. Below is a screenshot I took of the app from my iphone.

If you don’t have a Smartphone, you can still signup for Jingit online and watch videos online but you have to have a Facebook account. You can visit the Jingit website and sign in using your Facebook username and password. Once logged in you are taken to your Jingit dashboard where you can watch videos for cash and Box Tops, see your Jingit Earning Meter and see your Jingit Balance.

Once you have watched a video, you earn both Box Tops as well as CASH for each of the videos.

If you want to try to earn the max that you can with Jingit, I will suggest using both Jingit online as well as the phone app. With the phone app you have the ability to make more CASH in your account which means more Box Tops for your designated school.

Just yesterday I went to Walmart and used my iPhone to “Check-In” and scan some products to see just how this Jingit app works. I was amazed with how easy and fast I added a few bucks onto my Jingit balance by scanning the products I found when I checked in with the app. Below is a screenshot I took in Walmart when I was scanning the Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers with Sauce.

Here is an example of what the Jingit iPhone app looks like when you select a product to scan. Since my kids LOVE pizza I had to scan the Tortino’s Party Pizzas for an extra $1.00 in my account.

The Jingit app makes it easy to scan the products listed. I didn’t scan everything in the list on the app, but I was able to scan quite a few things that I normally buy. When I scanned these products I not only earned myself some extra cash but my daughter’s school also earned some Box Tops that will go to good use. I also purchased these products which have some Box Tops that need to be clipped and sent to school with the kids as well.

With Jingit you have a weekly earning limit. When you get your friends to join Jingit, you can increase your Earn Limits which allows you to make even more money. When you become a member, you also need to signup for the Jingit Visa Debit Card that enables you to spend your Jingit balance.

Now that I have figured out how to use Jingit and am signed up for my Jingit Visa Debit Card, I want to earn even more. I am always buying General Mills products at Walmart so this should be an easy way to earn some extra spending money.
