Staples + Keurig = Great Father’s Day Gift

For the last few years I have been addicted to using our Keurig. This is a brewer that not only makes a hot cup of coffee, it can also make iced tea, lemonade, hot chocolate and more. Out of any coffee pot we have ever used, the Keurig definitely gets it’s use around here.

For those looking for a last minute gift idea for dad, the Keurig Personal Brewer is perfect for the dad that loves coffee.

I recommend this model because it is affordable at only $99 at Staples. If you want something fancier for dad, any of the other Keurig models would be a perfect gift as well. Those are a little more expensive but provide you with more cups of coffee and more features. For a dad that is simple and loves his coffee, this just might make his day.

What is neat about this brewer compared to my other one is the size. This one is compact in size and great for those with small places. Since I like to travel and most hotels/resorts don’t have a Keurig, I planning on using my Keurig K10 Mini Plus coffee brewer for when we travel.

Gaylord Palm’s Shrek Feast Breakfast

I received an all expenses paid trip to Florida to attend the Decade of Memories Event from Experience Kissimmee. No monetary compensation has been received and all thoughts expressed are my own.

When you are vacation, every extra little bonus can make memories that last forever. How about a character breakfast with Shrek and Princess Fiona? I may be a mom but I am definitely a fan of this ogre and princess.
I didn’t have a chance yet to stay at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, FL but I did get a chance to visit the resort eat breakfast there just a few days ago. Not just any breakfast either, a breakfast fit to feed an ogre.

There was a TON of food to choose from. This is just some of the food that I was able to grab photos off, there was more. There was an entire filled with all sorts of yummy breakfast options.

While you are eating, you have the option to wash your meal down with some yummy ogre juice or soda!

It isn”t a character breakfast without getting to see and take pictures with the Dreamwork’s characters Shrek and Fiona. Being the blogger I am, I just had to get a picture with Shrek.

I wasn’t going to leave without a picture or two with my favorite Princess Fiona.

We also got a surprise visit at breakfast from Puss In Boots.

I think this might have been my favorite part of the buffet. A Shrek inspired fountain that you can dip cake or marshmallows into.

The food that I had was delicious and the parts of this resort that I was able to see during my time there was beautiful. The Gaylord Palms includes four-and-a-half acres of indoor gardens and three distinct Florida environments. I loved the pond with some very pretty Koi fish too!

Aeromax Toys Jr. Space Explorer Review + Giveaway

The weather has been heating up here in California. That for me means time to put on the bikini and hit the pool with the kids. A pool with no toys is no fun, so we always find cool toys to throw in the pool to make pool time even funner.

This past weekend we tried out our new Jr Space Explorer from Aeromax. Since I have a little guy that likes to play in the water, I thought this toy was perfect. It can get tiring riding the same old blow up whale.

Now kids can climb aboard for a journey to wherever their mind wants to take them…and beyond! The dashboard has great details to show the look of a genuine instrument panel and gauges for added play value. We’ve added 2 QR Codes to scan, so you can watch videos of a launch & orbit of the earth and an educational video about the firsts on the space shuttle. Great fun in the house or for the big “splashdown” in the pool.

My son was thrilled when my husband aired up the toy and put it in the pool. When my son wanted to get on the Jr Space Explorer I did have to help him, but from my own experience, pool toys are not as easy to climb on as they look. The Jr. Space Explorer is constructed of sturdy vinyl and has the following dimensions (42” length, 38” wing span, 22” tall).

With any type of pool toy, it is not always easy getting on and when you fall over, it can be a little funny. Here is how you don’t get on it…

This is just one of many fun toys from Aeromax. What is good about this particular toy is that it can be used in both the water and in the house. So if you don’t have a pool, don’t worry. Your little one can can play with this on the carpet too! Be sure to use your Smartphone and scan the QR codes for some neat space explorer videos!

One thing that I don’t really enjoy is shaving every day. I also don’t enjoy the way my legs feel if I don’t shave. So unfortunately I find myself with the razor and shaving cream every single day.

When I first started shaving my legs, I remember using Nair. I remember that I didn’t like the smell of it, but it did the job. This was a commercial that still sticks in my mind when I think of Nair…

I was a little excited to hear about a new product from Nair, their Brazilian Spa Clay products. These are products that are infused with moisturizing mango butter, acai better and mineral-rich cay. Being able to remove hair without a razor once in a while and leaves my skin soft sounds good to me!

This weekend I decided to give the Nair Brazilian Spa Clay a try. With this product you use the Pre-Use Wipes on the area you are going to apply the clay. You then apply the clay with the tool included, wait a couple minutes and then rinse it off.

When I first opened the container of the Spa Clay I had to smell it. I was so thrilled when it didn’t have the regular Nair scent that I am used to. Once I removed it and got out of the shower, I applied the Nair Moisturizing Gel and it made my skin super soft.

I haven’t tried it yet, but Nair also has the Brazilian Spa Clay that is meant just for facial hair. They also have the Nair Shower Power Cream, Face Wax Strips, Body Wax Strips and Roll-on Wax from the Brazilian Spa Clay line.

Shop At Safeway & Save At The Pump + $50 Safeway Gift Card Giveaway

When it comes to living life, I wish I could save money on groceries and I definitely wish I could save money on gas. I can remember back when I was young and gas was only 99 cents a gallon. If gas wasn’t going on $5 per gallon these days for the good stuff, I would probably do a whole travel a whole lot more. Unfortunately I have to put Premium gas in my car which can add up when you fill up.

For those of you with a Safeway near, you can earn gas rewards just for making purchases with your Safeway Rewards Card. Not all of the Safeways have a gas station, but for those that do, you can earn up to 20 cents per gallon in rewards. Before you could just save at the Safeway gas pumps, but now you can use your Safeway Gas Reward Points at participating Chevron and Texaco locations. I live in the Sacramento area and was able to find a participating pump at the Chevron only a few minutes away!

When you are at one of the participating Chevron stations, you will see a pump that looks similar to this:

If you are in the Sacramento or Bay area, be sure to take advantage of these savings on the necessary expenses, gas and groceries! If you are in the Sacramento area like me, you might also want to signup for the Safeway Fast Forward program where you can earn 2X the gas reward points.

Every 100 points gets you 10¢ per gallon in gas rewards at participating Chevron, Texaco and Safeway pumps.
