CVS Gold Emblem Snacks – Handy For Those On The Go – #CVS

Since I work from home full time and have access to my pantry of food I often find myself maybe snacking a little to often. Getting a snack is my little excuse to take a break from work. It is also hard to NOT snack when you receive something like this at your door.

Yep, a cute little car loaded full of the CVS Gold Emblem Snacks. When I opened the box and seen this car I will admit that I closed the box quickly hoping that my son didn’t see my new little treasure. I then took the box in my room to look more without having to worry about little wondering eyes.

For me I like to take pictures of everything. I knew if anyone seen this cute car with the goodies inside, I might not have the chance to get a picture. Once I was able to grab some photos of my car, I then thought it would be only nice to share the snacks with the hubby and of course share the car with my kids.

I was excited when I seen the variety of snacks I received. I shop at CVS for various household items, but have never bought any of the Gold Emblem products. The CVS Gold Emblem snacks that we received to review got consumed quickly. I had wanted to save them for a flight I was going to take last month, but it didn’t happen. They were gone in just a couple days and I have already bought more of a couple of my favorites.

The Gold Emblem line is most popular for their nuts, trail mix, pretzels, candy, crackers and cookies. I am a big fan of trail mix so the Gold Emblem Classic Blend Trail Mix is one of my favorites. This YUMMY mix contains peanuts, raisins, M&M’s milk chocolate candies, almonds & cashews.

Most of these snacks are a great option for those that are on the go, well maybe not the chocolate bars on a hot day. The Gold Emblem snacks fit perfect in my purse and even the pockets on my backpack. These will come in handy to pack in my backpack next month when I go back to college. This month I will be headed to Chicago for BlogHer’13 and will be putting some of these packages of this trail mix in my luggage to snack on in my hotel room. Maybe even some of the gummy worms. 🙂

FPgirl by FashionPlaytes Review

I am one of those lucky mothers that was blessed with three beautiful daughters. Two of those daughters are in their teens and my youngest is about to turn nine. In my house you will find quite a bit of girly gear including clothing, shoes, makeup, nail polish, accessories and more.

For those of you with daughters that LOVE to coordinate their own clothing and maybe even got their own little style, you might want to introduce them to the FP Design Studio from Fashion Playtes. This is a neat little website that allows children to design their own clothing and for some, this is really COOL!

Last month my daughter received a cute top from the FashiponPlaytes site that she designed with the FP Design Studio. With this site your daughter can design tops, dresses, bottoms, bags, jewelry, accessories and more!

Once you visit the design studio, you pick what type of item you want to design. If you want to design a top, you would choose top, then choose what style of top. You then would select a size for the top and then what color you want to go with from the selections provided. Next step is to add some design to your shirt like some cool embellisments and maybe even a custom label!

Last month during our little family vacation, Hannah was styling on the resort with her new custom tank-top she design and so proud!

The new 2013 summer fashion line was inspired by the FPgirl community with nearly 1 million girls strong. This community encourages girls to share fashion advice, enter design contests and comment on questions from their peers. In the new line, girls will see more trendy hemlines like hi-lo and shirttails, sports-inspired styles and cropped colored denim that will continue to inspire the trend-savvy fashionistas as the weather heats up.

Arabian Nights: The American Princess Dinner Show Review – #VisitKiss

I received an all expenses paid trip to Florida to attend the Decade of Memories Event from Experience Kissimmee. No monetary compensation has been received and all thoughts expressed are my own.

Ever since I was about twelve years old I have wanted to see a dinner show. My cousin had went to the Medieval Times dinner show in Los Angeles and talked so much about it, she had me jealous that I didn’t get to go with her. For the last few years I have been tempted to take my kids to one of these dinner shows, but unfortunately they don’t have these types of shows here in the Sacramento area.

Last month during my trip to Kissimmee, Florida I had the opportunity to finally attend a dinner show. It wasn’t the dinner show like my cousin once went to, but maybe one even better. I attended the Arabian Nights: The American Princess dinner show with a group of fellow bloggers and thought the show was very entertaining.

While there are plenty of restaurants in my area, none of them have a show that you can watch with beautiful horses that are trained to give you quite the performance. Arabian Night’s current show, The American Princess is a lighthearted tale of both adventure and romance. Here is the plot of the show:

On her 21st birthday, an all-American girl and champion rider discovers that she is actually the Princess Scheherazade. Along with her genie Abracadabra, Princess Scheherazade takes the audience on a magical journey around the world to find her prince – who must love horses as much as she does.

During the show you will see plenty of entertainment. You will watch the princess and Abracadabra visit Europe, then Latin America. You will then see her visit a Gypsy camp where you will see some really cool acrobatics on the horses.

I enjoyed the entire show, but my favorite part of the show would have to be when the princess visits the world of Imagination to see the beautiful and magical unicorn.

I don’t want to tell you about the whole show because I recommend seeing it in person. If you are one that enjoys horses, this definitely would be something you want to see if you are ever in Kissimmee, FL.

I was pretty amazed with now not only the actor and actresses in this show, but the horses too! It has been a long time since I rode a horse. I couldn’t imagine standing on one while it is running around the arena. I even seen one of the actors jump from one horse and land on another. I also seen that same guy ride a horse and jump through a ring of fire and land back on the horse, pretty amazing stuff!

When it comes to the dinner part of the show, you are given a menu of a few different choices. On our menu was pot roast, pulled pork, chicken tenders, chicken alfredo and chicken marsala. I am a fan of pulled pork, so when I seen it on the menu, I knew what I was going to choose. After dinner you are given some dessert too!

When you visit Arabian Nights, you have a few different options for the show. There is General Admission, The VIP Experience and The Royale Table. Our group got The VIP Experience that has the following benefits:

Seating in the first three rows
Dining selections from the Genie Menu
Early entrance and access to the arena
Sneak peek stable tour
Pre-show activities for our youngest guests
VIP posters and stickers

Since I brought my camera, I was really excited to get to go back in the stables to take some pictures of the horses. I not only got pictures of the horses, I was able to get a couple pictures the actors and the horses and even me with them!

Had I known that this guy in the red was one of the main actors in the show that has a ton of talent, I would have got a better picture with him. Here is a blurry picture that was taken with my iPhone.

Polly Pocket Store Now Available On Amazon – #PollyPocket

I have three daughters and know that girls LOVE to play with dolls and they LOVE to be imaginative. All three of my daughters have had Polly Pocket dolls and accessories.

I received one of the Polly Pocket treehouses and an additional Polly Pocket doll set for review. Since it was my nieces birthday and she is turning 4, I thought it would be perfect for her. When my niece came over and I gave her the Polly Pocket surprise, I found out that my youngest daughter who is eight years old still likes Polly Pocket too.

My niece, son and daughter were all anxious to play with the treehouse. They started by playing with it on the table. I then was able to see my niece play with it on the wall in her bedroom too.

If you have a little girl that doesn’t have a Polly Pocket doll yet, this might make for the perfect gift. Polly Pocket is great to help inspire imaginative play and Polly Pocket is portable so your daughter can take her anywhere.

Audiobooks HQ App Review

Being the Apple addict that I am, I am always looking for new apps for both my iPhone as well as my iPad. Since I LOVE to read, I enjoy finding different apps that keep me entertained. I recently downloaded the Audiobooks HQ iTunes app that you might be interested in, if you enjoy listening to books over reading them.

When you download the Audiobooks HQ app on iTunes, you have access to 5,890 FREE HQ classic and contemporary audiobooks by Inkstone Mobile. Once you install the app and open it, you will be able view the catalogs of books.

With this app, you will be limited to just three of the catalogs of various audiobooks without subscripting. If you happen to be one that really enjoy listening to these types of books, there are paid membership options where you can pay a fee to gain access to even more books. You can pay either $.99 cents a month or $9.99 a year to have access to more than 7,440 free high quality books and new books are added daily. If you like books but don’t have time to read, audiobooks allows you to just put some earphones in your ear and listen to the book while you are doing something else like washing dishes, exercising, etc.

I downloaded the app and found it very simple and easy to use. You first have to find the book you want to listen to, then download it. Using the app you can view apps that are Top Rated, you can search for books using Author name, Title or Recent. Once you download the audiobook, you can listen to it whenever you want without having to worry about having a network connection.

When listening to the audiobook, you have total control. There is a speed slider, bookmarks, background audio, sleep timer, AirPlay support and more! For those that like to fly, this might be an app to put on your phone so you can listen to books while you fly through the air. I know there is internet access on planes, but most of the time for a fee. I like that once you download the audiobook, you can listen to it without having a internet connection.
