This past weekend I got an opportunity that I will never forget. I was on the local news with two of my children showing off the Wow Packs, the world’s first interactive backpacks. I was nervous before the show started but it went by extremely fast!

I can’t believe that the summer is almost gone. I usually look forward to the hot summer days when it is cold and on those HOT sunny days, I can’t wait for Fall to arrive. It is now September and I am officially back in school at our local college full time and all of my kids are currently in school too. This school year I have a kindergartner, a 4th grader, a freshman and a junior. Although I am enjoying them being in school, I don’t like that they are growing up so fast!
For my youngest two, they had a Back To School Supply list that included antibacterial wipes. That means adding some Wet Ones in my child’s backpack to give to their teacher to help keep the kids in the class germ free. Have you ever been in an emergency situation and wish you had a cell phone? I currently have a cell phone that I pack with me wherever I go, but there are many people out there that don’t wish to have a cell phone like my grandparents.

When it comes to my iPhone, I am picky about the apps that I download. I have my favorite apps that I use daily, but I also have a few apps on my phone that I have installed for the times when I need to keep my youngest entertained. There is a new app that just launched on iTunes today called Tricky Stories that is really cute for those ages 2+. I have been testing out the app this week and my 5 year old son LOVES it!
Tricky Stories is an app that encourages children to use their imagination and create a world of stories through an interactive story book. Right now the Tricky Stories is available with the Magic Castle Enchanted Sticker Book.
Once you enter the Tricky Stories: Magic Castle app you will enter an interactive sticker book that provides hours of fun for the kids. In the Magic Castle you will find CUTE stickers of princesses, knights, kings, horses, gnomes and more! Those are the sticker people that you can interact with. In the Magic Castle you are also going to find a variety of animals such as the friendly fox, a big cute bear or maybe my sons favorite, the Owl!
This app really lets children use their imagination. They can fill their own little world up with stickers and then interact with the environment they created. They can also use the little camera icon on the app to take a picture of their stickers on the screen. When a picture is taken, the app saves the picture and also has the ability to save the photo in your photo storage on your device you are using.

When it comes to food, I will admit that I have turned down different foods before because they were labeled as “diet”. For instance, I don’t like any type of diet soda. If it is the only thing to drink available, I would probably go without. I haven’t tried all diet drinks so therefore I might be missing out. Since my family can be a little picky when it comes to diet related foods, I thought it would be fun to play a little trick on them.
One day a box arrived from Weight Watchers that had some of their Brownie Bites. What you might notice is that the box does not say anywhere that it was from Weight Watchers, that part was the secret. Once we opened the box and unwrapped the blue packaging was a box of the Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss and the Triple Chocolate Brownie Bliss bars. All of my family, including me were eager to try these…
So we all tried the Brownie Bliss bars and my kids LOVED them. My daughter Hannah said the Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss was now her new favorite. After the bars were demolished from both boxes, I told them there was a little secret that I had been keeping. I have to also admit that I enjoyed this little prank…
In the box that Brownie Bliss Bars came in was another two boxes, but only marked as Weight Watchers. I knew these were inside, so I didn’t let anyone look inside the box because I didn’t want to ruin the surprise. It was pretty neat to see everyone enjoy these without knowing the brand behind the bars.
Right now there are two different flavors I personally like them both. If I had showed them that they were Weight Watchers before I tried them, I would have NOT got the reaction I did. They would have NOT been eager to try them and I might have been the one eating them all instead of my kids.
