Before I used to think I was only a cat person. That was until I found my love for little lap that like to sit on my lap while I work during the day.  I currently have two little dogs that I just LOVE to spoil. I have a box that includes a variety of different treats for them. When I grab the box their tails started wagging. I recently added the Milk-Bone® Brushing Chews TM to their box of treats.

My dogs are just like my children and I care about their health and their teeth too! I was sent some of the Milk-Bone Brushing Chews for my two dogs to try. While my dogs are spoiled, one of my dogs (Venus) really likes almost ALL dog treats and doesn’t turn her nose up to anything. My other dog Splinter can be picky a little picky when it comes to the treats mama gives him. Sometimes I have a few words with him when he doesn’t want to try something new. 🙂

Venus was very interested in the Milk-Bone Brushing Chew I had in my hand. She had her eyes on it!

Venus LOVED these brushing chew like I knew that she would. You can actually give these to your dog every day. When fed daily, Milk-Bone® Brushing Chews TM are clinically proven to be as effective as brushing your dog’s teeth twice per week based on the reduction of tartar build-up and bad breath.

Now when I went to give my dog Splinter one of these brushing chews, he didn’t know what to think at first. He kind of gave it the eye.

Both Venus and Splinter both like these treats but Venus LOVES them. Splinter will get bored with one after a few minutes but Venus will chew them until they are gone.

Lunch & Dinner Made Easy With Old Paso

I am a mom that loves to cook from scratch. I remember years ago relying on frozen meals to feed my family because I didn’t know really how to cook. The Cute & Comfy Shoes You Can Wear With NO Socks #Skyscape

I am very picky when it comes to shoes. At home I am usually always barefoot or I have my flip flops on. Shoes with high arches bother my feet and wearing socks unless its COLD never really sounds appealing. During the winter I like to slip on boots without socks. When it comes to sneakers though, I am usually against wearing them without socks until  now.

This month I was on a mission to find a pair of new Skyscape Runaround Walking Shoes by Reebok. I had seen they had more colors but since pink is my favorite color, I was determined on getting a pair in HOT PINK. I wanted to try a pair on first before I bought them because not all shoes run exactly the same size. I normally wear a size 8 shoe but sometimes have to buy an 8.5.  My local Kohl’s didn’t have the Skyscape so I went with ordering a pair online and  to be safe, I ordered them in 8.5.

When my order arrived I was anxious to try on my new pair of shoes. I tried them on at first with socks to make sure they were a good fit before I broke them in with my bare feet. They were very comfortable with socks but the real test was going to be when I put them on without my socks.

The Reebok Skyscape Runaround shoes are different from any shoes I have ever worn. They are lightweight at only 5 ounces, comfortable, cute and best of all,  they are WASHABLE. I am pretty good at keeping my new shoes clean but you can’t keep them clean forever. Now I haven’t had the chance to get them dirty enough to wash them yet, but I heard online that they come out of the wash mashing looking like new.

Next it was time to try them without the socks. As soon as I started to slip my foot into these shoes I knew I was going to really like them. Normally I don’t wear shoes without socks because the seams in the shoes will bug my picky toes. These shoes have a seamless construction that makes them non-irritating as well as foam material that makes you feel like you are stepping onto a pillow.

I love how these look with no socks in shorts, capris, skirts and they might even look cute with a dress. Now that I have my pink pair I want a pair in grey and black so that I have a pair to match with every outfit.

Sudsy Box Review

Since I work from home I tend to get a little excited when the mail is delivered or if Fed Ex or UPS deliver a package. I get packages often for product reviews but my favorite kind of packages are often the subscription services. When I received an email asking to review the Sudsy Box subscription service I was thrilled. This is a FUN subscription service where your shipments include handcrafted soaps.

I received my first Sudsy Box shipment last week and I could not wait to open the box, unwrap the soaps and smell them. Sudsy Box is a bi-monthly subscription service where you will receive 3 bars of handcrafted soap as well as a FREE gift. The products that are sent are vegan friendly, gluten free and use no artificial colors or fragrances. The gifts can include lip balms, lotion bars, body butter, sea salt scrubs and more. Sudsy Box - Heidi's Artisan Soaps

In my shipment I received 3 soaps from Heidi’s Artisan Soap. I received the Orange Mocha Espresso, Morning Mist Soap and Lavender Dreams Artisans soaps. The first day I received my package I had to start using one of the soaps. I am currently using the Orange Mocha Espresso that is made with olive oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil and orange essential oil.

First off I really like the smell of this soap. I can’t use a soap if I don’t like the smell of it.  I also like that the soap uses coffee as an exfoliant in the soap. I love the way my skin smells and feels after using this bar. I can’t wait to try the other two soaps I received. I want to mention something else I really enjoy about this shipment.

The labels on the soaps are plantable! The label is handmade Lokta paper from Nepal and is 100% sustainable. This label has been embedded with wildflower seeds. Place the label in soil, keep it water and in 4-6 weeks wildflowers just might grow. We will be planting the labels that we received. I think this is a cool idea!

Out of all the subscription services available, I love the idea of this one. I LOVE handcrafted soaps. I used to make them about 10 years ago and since I still have all my old supplies, the urge is always there to make my own. I don’t have time for making soap so I am going to enjoy receiving soaps from Sudsy Box.

All Good April With Carrington Farms

This month I was invited to be one of the All Good April Ambassadors to help celebrate a month long celebration of all things goods hosted by Carrington Farms.

This month Carrington Farms sent me some of their coconut oil, coconut cooking oil and some organic milled flax seeds. I was excited about the coconut oil because I LOVE to use coconut oil when I bake sweets like cakes or cupcakes that call for vegetable oil. Not only does it taste better, it can offer some benefits too!

I really like that they have two different coconut oil products. I plan on using the pure and unrefined coconut oil to make some homemade lip gloss with my daughters. As far as the coconut cooking oil, I look forward to seeing how this product taste like compared to the other brands I have used.

I am a big fan of coconut oil for lots of reasons. Below are some of the health benefits of coconut oil:

    • Coconut Oil possesses a wide variety of health benefits due to its fiber and nutritional content. It has earned the moniker of the “healthiest oil in the world”.
    • Coconut oil is made up of medium chain fatty acids (MCFA). These fatty acids do not have a negative effect on cholesterol. They are known to lower the risk of heart disease and arteriosclerosis. The liver and the gall bladder do not need to digest and emulsify MCFA, resulting in instant energy, increased metabolic rate and subsequently more heat production and increased circulation.
