Did you know that you can make cakes in the microwave? For all these years, I had NEVER thought of cooking a cake in the microwave. I have always thought of my microwave as the appliance that cooks frozen food in just minutes. I have always just thought that making a cake takes at least 30+ minutes and I would never run my microwave for that long. I was excited to find out that I can make myself a cake in my microwave. One thing that I LOVE to drink during the hot summer days is a nice cold strawberry smoothie. I have to have fresh fruit in my smoothies too or it isn’t a smoothie to me! I normally like to mix strawberries with other berries like raspberries and blueberries to make my drink even fruitier and give it more flavor. One thing that I hate when making smoothies is finding that my fruit has gone BAD when I go to make my drink. If you buy fruits and vegetables on a regular basis, you might already know that the refrigerator is not the healthiest place to keep your food.
How many times have you put fruit or veggies in your fridge, just to have them go bad only days later? I have found a neat little appliance that help this problem. This little gadget is called the MiniMate and it helps to eliminate food-born bacteria, mold and viruses through the use of activated oxygen. I had never even heard of “activated oxygen” until I reading about how this product works. This technology helps keeps your fruits and vegetables stay fresher longer by oxidizing the germs, bacteria and mold that is growing on them as well as oxidizing any chemicals and pesticides that might be present.
We recently have had the opportunity to review one of these MiniMates. I put it on the same shelf in my fridge that I keep my fruit. I was happy to see that my fruit actually did last longer. I now find myself throwing out LESS food than before. The MiniMate gives you a way to make a more healthy environment in your fridge!

Are you picky about what pens you use to write with? I am one of those picky pen people. I like a comfortable pen that writes nice and clean. I know you have had those pens that leak or write only parts of what you are writing because the roller on the pen is stuck or whatever the case may be. Most of the time, I will throw those types of pens away. When I need to grab a pen fast to jot a note down, I HATE when the pen does NOT work.
I have found one of the most comfortable pens yet! When you are doing lots of writing, a comfortable pen that provides your fingers with comfort is my choice. My new favorite pen is the UGLEE Pen. This been was designed, created and used by Dr. James Lee (a real physician). If you like ergonomic pens, this might be something you will want to try out.
I love my UGLee Pens so much I have them hidden in my room. I received three to review and I am not sharing. My husband even tried giving one to my daughter when I got them and I had to put my foot down. After the ink runs out in my UGLee Pens, I will definitely be buying more!

I am one of those kids who grew up eating Mother’s Cookies. No, not my own mother’s cookies, the popular Mother’s Cookies that you hopefully can find on the shelves in the cookie isle in your local grocery store. As a child I remember my favorite being the Circus Animal Cookies. Those cute pink and white cookies with the colored speckles. Of the white and the pink cookies in the bag, the pink ones are my favorites. Guess what? I have a bag in my lap as I am writing this review and I am NOT sharing. As an adult, I still enjoy the Mother’s Cookies. I think I have another favorite though. I LOVE to dip the Taffy Sandwich cookies in milk. If you like dipping cookies in milk, give these ones a try and see if you enjoy them as much as I do.
Did you know that Mother’s Cookies has been making delicious cookies for almost a century. I didn’t even realize that they closed their doors but opened back up. I also just learned that the newest state to be introduced to Mother’s Cookies is Kansas. Now all you mommies in Kansas can enjoy these tasty treats too!
