The Muppets Wocka Wocka Value Pack Review and Giveaway

Are you a fan of The Muppets?

I remember Kermit The Frog being one of my favorites back when I was a child. Last year when The Muppets came out in theaters I really wanted to see it. I was excited that a new movie was out, but unfortunately I never got the chance but that is okay. I now have in my possession of The Muppets on Blu-Ray & DVD. I have the Wocka Wocka Value Pack that includes a Blu-Ray, DVD, Digital Copy + the entire soundtrack of The Muppets that includes 15 different songs you will hear during the movie!

Synopsis

On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend, Mary (Amy Adams), from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze Muppet Studios and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the studio, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have allgone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.

We actually had a family movie night last week and watched it together. I think I was excited more than the rest of the family to see it but that is okay. I really enjoyed watching The Muppets comeback into action and reunite together. I think it made me feel like a kid again while I was watching the gang get back together, kind of like a little nostalgic trip for those of us who grew up watching The Muppets years ago.

What I enjoy about watching The Muppets at home on Blu-Ray is the extra bonuses that you don’t get to see in the theater. There are three different options when you go to buy this film, but they all include “The Longest Blooper Reel Ever Made (In Muppet History––We Think)” that you will want to see, especially if you are a fan. I personally think the Wocka Wocka Value Pack is your best option. It includes the following:

  • Scratching The Surface: A Hasty Examination of the Making of Disney’s “The Muppets.” Hosted by unit production manager monster J.G., the cast and crew take a behind the scenes look at making Muppet and movie history.
  • Explaining Evil: The Full Tex Richman Song. Rapping his way through the story of his miserable life, Tex tells audiences why he turned out to be such a rotten guy.
  • A Little Screen Test on the way to the Read Through. This hilarious footage follows the Muppet gang as they go to their first table reading of the script.

One thing I really think that is cool with this is the Disney intermission that is included. If you need to get up to grab something, everyone else will be entertained on the screen with some Muppets entertainment they will enjoy! John Carter In 3D Review + Movie Trailer

This past Tuesday I had the opportunity to watch a screening of Disney’s new movie John Carter in 3D that is playing in theaters now. John Carter is a science fiction movie, a type of movie that I don’t normally watch but since it was a film from Disney, I had to see what it was all about.

Once John Carter started playing on the screen in 3D, I was glued to my seat and the movie kept my attention even being over 2 hours long.

About the film:

From Academy Award®–winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton comes “John Carter”—a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). “John Carter” is based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose highly imaginative adventures served as inspiration for many filmmakers, both past and present. The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter, who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris. In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.

While watching this movie, I was really fascinated by some of the special effects and some of the funny looking characters. One of my favorite characters is the creature in the trailer below. He actually reminds my daughter and I of our dog. 🙂

I am not going to share all the details of this fun movie, but I will say that it does have a great ending. I LOVE that this movie was in 3D too!

I LOVE pillows!

I have to say that I probably have too many pillows on my bed and I probably will end up with more.

Disney’s Geek Charming Review + Amazon Deal To Grab

When it comes to watching movies, I like a variety. I enjoy scary movies, funny movies, movies that make you cry and even the teenybopper movies that get my daughter’s attention. I was once a teen too, so I can often relate to some of these movies that I watch with my girls.

Disney’s Geek Charming just came out on DVD last month and I have a copy in my Disney collection. For those that have not seen it, here is the scoop:

When Dylan Schoenfield (Sarah Hyland), Woodlands Academy’s top girl, accidentally drops her expensive “it” handbag into the mall fountain, she is surprised that film geek, Josh Rosen (Matt Prokop), retrieves it for her. In exchange for rescuing her bag, Dylan must agree to be the subject of Josh’s documentary film. Dylan hopes the film will help her campaign for Blossom Queen – she claims that winning is her only life goal. Josh plans to make a hard-hitting expose about popularity, but, as he gets to know Dylan, he learns that the real Dylan is much more interesting than the persona she’s created. At the last minute, Josh decides that his film should introduce this awesome girl to the world, but how will Dylan react when she sees it?

I think this is such a good family movie, especially to watch with my three daughters. My son is only 4 and this isn’t his type of movie, but my daughters are a different story. My daughter Hailey actually seen this movie before I had a chance to share it with her. She beat me to it!
