Danze Showerhead Review & Giveaway

This weekend my husband and I gave our bathroom a little well needed makeover. We bought some pretty purple paint a few months ago, but put the paint in the garage where it had been sitting on a shelf waiting to be used. This weekend not only did we paint the bathroom PURPLE, my husband also installed our new Danze Showerhead.

We received the Danze 4” 250 Polished Nickel Showerhead for review and I am in love. I didn’t have too much pressure with my old showerhead and my new Danze showerhead provides a great flow of water that makes taking a shower more enjoyable. Here are some of the features:

I am definitely not an expert when it comes to painting, but my bathroom looks a whole lot better and I am a whole lot happier. My purple paint on the walls now matches my bathroom decorations and shower curtain. The best part of the makeover is the new Danze Showerhead that I have got to use a couple times now.

When it comes to installing the showerhead, it seemed pretty easy and only took about 5 minutes of my husband’s time once he read the directions. The only thing that I do miss about my old showerhead is that it was on a hose where you could remove it, but I think I can manage without it. Danze has different showerheads with different features that come in a variety of finishes, depending on the style you prefer. I love the style of mine and the Polished Nickel look it has.

The Band-Aid Magic Vision Apple App Review

Ever since I got my iPad2 in February for my birthday, I have been having fun finding different apps to install for not only my entertainment but for my kids too!

I recently downloaded the Band-Aid Magic Vision App that works with the new Muppets Band-Aids that will provide some entertainment for your child when they get a cut or a scrape and need a Band-Aid. This app uses the Augmented Reality technology that help to merge your child’s real-life surroundings with the graphics that are being displayed on the screen. If your child is a fan of The Muppets, this app might help distract them when they get a boo boo.

With this app you can have fun with Kermit, Miss Piggy and Gonzo. I think we had fun with Gonzo the most considering he looks like he cracks your screen. Out of everyone if my family, I probably drink the most water. I used to like to drink soda everyday until I learned just how many calories are in a can of soda and how long I would have to walk on the treadmill to burn it off. I don’t really like to drink milk unless I am eating cereal and juices tend to have the calories in them that I want to avoid. So all day you will usually find me drinking ice water.

Since there are more flavors than the 3 I have tried, I am anxious to try the other flavors.

The last few months I have been contemplating on whether or not my children should be receiving an allowance for doing their chores. While we do give our children money when they need it, there has never been an allowance system enforced in my house.

We have rewarded our children in the past by buying them something they have been wanting, taking them out to lunch or dinner, letting them stay up late and other fun rewards. The Secret World Of Arrietty Is Available On Blu-Ray & DVD

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to watch Disney’s “The Secret World Of Arrietty” with my daughter at the theater (read my review here). For those of you that didn’t get a chance to see it in the theaters have been waiting to see The Secret World of Arrietty, it is now available on Blu-ray and DVD as of May 22, 2012.

For those unfamiliar with this film, it is based on the children’s book series “The Borrowers” by Mary Norton. In “The Secret World Of Arriety” is an imaginative tale of a family of “little people” that under the house of a regular family who have to live very quiet lives to they don’t get noticed. In this story, tiny Arriety is discovered by a  human, the story turns into quite the little adventure.

I used to be a fan of “The Borrowers”, so I was really anxious to see this when it came out in February. My daughter Hannah was also excited as I was and has already watched it two more times since we got the Blu-ray copy to review. It is definitely a CUTE Disney movie that I am happy to own.
