If you have been following along, you might know that this past Wednesday I got up early and boarded a plane to Florida for the Red Carpet Premiere for Disneynature’s new film “Chimpanzee”. I was nervous to be away from home for almost a week, but the opportunity was something I couldn’t pass up since I live in California and have never been to Florida. Once I arrived at the Global Resort Homes in Orlando I was a little excited to see which room in this beautiful home I was staying at and what it looked like.

When I opened the door to my room upstairs at this beautiful vacation rental, I found a surprise on my bed awaiting my arrival…

I immediately became attached to Oscar and decided I was going to keep him for myself and buy souvenirs at Disney World for the kids.

Oscar even ate dinner with me last night at Panda Express at the airport.

He made for a great pillow on the plane home too!

7 Day Florida Dream Vacation Giveaway

Yesterday I boarded a plane in Sacramento and made my journey to the sunny state of Florida. This California girl was on a mission to make it all the way from the West Coast to the East Coast for the #DisneyGlobalEvent. I have only been here a little over 24 hours and have already made some new friends and also some memories that will last a lifetime.

Today while in Kissimmee I was very brave! Not only did I do some zip lining at Florida EcoSafaris, I also rode an airboat at Boggy Creek Airboat Ride, tried some alligator tail and even held a baby alligator. While it may seem to some as if I am on a little vacation away from home, I am actually working and have the opportunity to cover the Red Carpet Premiere for Disneynature’s new film Chimpanzee tomorrow that is in theaters on April 20, 2012. If you love animals, you definitely will want to see this film and be sure to stay tuned for my upcoming review. …

ZeroWater Pitcher & Filter Review & Giveaway

I am really glad that I like water because we are supposed to drink a ton of it each and every day. I think there are days when I probably drink more water than the recommended daily intake. What I don’t like is the fact that the water that comes out of my faucet isn’t as cleans as I thought it was. In fact, after using the water tester that I received with my ZeroWater Pitcher, I am not too happy about drinking my water now unless I know that it has been filtered.

Are you a fan of The Muppets?

I remember Kermit The Frog being one of my favorites back when I was a child. Last year when The Muppets came out in theaters I really wanted to see it. I was excited that a new movie was out, but unfortunately I never got the chance but that is okay. I now have in my possession of The Muppets on Blu-Ray & DVD. I have the Wocka Wocka Value Pack that includes a Blu-Ray, DVD, Digital Copy + the entire soundtrack of The Muppets that includes 15 different songs you will hear during the movie!

Synopsis

On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend, Mary (Amy Adams), from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze Muppet Studios and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the studio, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have allgone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.

We actually had a family movie night last week and watched it together. I think I was excited more than the rest of the family to see it but that is okay. I really enjoyed watching The Muppets comeback into action and reunite together. I think it made me feel like a kid again while I was watching the gang get back together, kind of like a little nostalgic trip for those of us who grew up watching The Muppets years ago.

What I enjoy about watching The Muppets at home on Blu-Ray is the extra bonuses that you don’t get to see in the theater. There are three different options when you go to buy this film, but they all include “The Longest Blooper Reel Ever Made (In Muppet History––We Think)” that you will want to see, especially if you are a fan. I personally think the Wocka Wocka Value Pack is your best option. It includes the following:

Scratching The Surface: A Hasty Examination of the Making of Disney’s “The Muppets.” Hosted by unit production manager monster J.G., the cast and crew take a behind the scenes look at making Muppet and movie history.
Explaining Evil: The Full Tex Richman Song. Rapping his way through the story of his miserable life, Tex tells audiences why he turned out to be such a rotten guy.

One thing I really think that is cool with this is the Disney intermission that is included. If you need to get up to grab something, everyone else will be entertained on the screen with some Muppets entertainment they will enjoy! This movie will be available to purchase on DVD/Blu-Ray on March 20, 2012.
