Fried Cherry Cheesecake Wontons

Ingredients

  • 30 Twin Dragon Won Ton Wrappers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl beat the cream cheese, sugar and flour until smooth. Then add 1 egg,  sour cream, and vanilla until continue to mix until blended. 

  2. Create an egg wash. In a small bowl add 1 egg and the 1/2 cup up water and mix until blended. 

  3. On a clean and flat surface place 1 won ton wrapper. Dip your finger in egg wash and paint all for of the edges. Add 2 teaspoons of the cheesecake mixture on the center of the wrapper. Add about 1 teaspoon of the cherry pie filling on top.  Bring the corners of the wrappers together to the center and pinch together to form an  X. Pinch all of the edges to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers.

  4. Add 1 to 1 1/2 inches of vegetable oil to a large skillet and heat oil to medium high. Add about 4-5 wontons at a time to the oil and fry, turning each of them occasionally until they are golden brown. Remove from oil once golden on a plate lined with a paper towel or napkins to absorb excess oil. 

  5. Allow to cool and enjoy!
