8 Ways to Bring Your customers Back Again

Getting the customer to buy the first time is the challenging part. Keeping
the customer is the necessary part. Once you have a customer buy from you it
if vitally important to present your best image as a business. Whether this
is a purchase, a barter or a donation for some cause, how you appear as a
business is important to the future of your business.

1. USE NEW SHIPPING MATERIALS ONLY - Use NEW shipping materials only. Do not
rely on re-used shipping materials that may contain cigarette smell, or the
smells/residues of other products. You want to package they receive to look
and smell clean.

2. SEND PROFESSIONAL PACKAGES - Package your products in a way that looks
professional. Cloth items should be clean and smell good. Wrap them in
tissue paper or poly bags for shipping. Paper items should be enclosed in
poly bags to prevent wrinkles and tears. Breakable items should have
protective shipping supplies surrounding them.

3. ADD CONTACT INFORMATION - Add your contact information to every package.
Make it easy for the customer to order again. Include a catalog, business
card, information sheet, magnet and other items related to your product.
Have "Re-order at 555-444-3333" stickers on every products that goes out.

4. GIVE A REASON TO ORDER - Give them a reason to order again SOON. Add a
coupon offer free shipping or a percent off if they order again with in 30
days. Make is a dated track-able code number so you can tell how many
customers are using it. The new scratch off stickers are awesome for this
purpose. Hide the code under the scratch off sticker to give an incentive to
"Scratch and Win"

5. GET TESTIMONIALS - Ask for testimonials and photos of their family using
the products. Ask permission to use these on your web site. Happy customer
testimonials give you credibility with customers.

6. SHARE WITH A FRIEND - Invite them to share your business URL with a
friend or family member. Maybe include a "Share Package" that they can give
away.

7. AVOID CIGARETTE SMELL - this smell can turn away a customer very quickly.
Many people are even allergic to this odor. If you smoke, make your products
storage and work area a "smoke free zone" Store you finished items in zip
lock bags with a dryer sheet.

8. AVOID OTHER SMELLS - The only smells that should accompany your products
are the ones your products make (such as candles and bath product
fragrances). Be sure to label your site with the fragrances that will come
on your products. Many people are allergic to all fragrances so be certain
your customers know what fragrances are coming with their order.

You have a fantastic product. Your customers are buying. Be certain they
return to buy again very soon. Give more than expected so they are always
thrilled that they have bought from you. Invite them back to your web site
by offering something free on your site (information, downloads, e-books,
coupons). Your professional looking package will help invite your customers
to come back again and again.

Q. Mom, what is your business? Tell us a little bit about it.
A. Moonlight Creations Jewelry specializes in affordable handmade beaded jewelry custom made
the way YOU want. I offer bracelets, anklets, earrings, blue jean bauble, book thongs & much
more. There is nothing over $9.00 on my site. I take pride in offering quality handmade beaded
jewelry at a price you can afford.

Q. How long has this business been around?
A. I've been making jewelry for about 3 years. In the beginning I sold my jewelry through craft
fairs but in the last few years have begun selling online as well.

Q. Are you happy with your business or is there something different you
would like to do or add to your business?
A. I'm very happy with my business. I am always looking for new products to add to my site.
My latest addition is a beaded dragonfly suncatcher that sparkles in the sunlight. It makes a
great addition to your home, car or office.

Q. How do you feel your business can benefit others?
A. Most women either wear jewelry themselves or have a daughter that does. I love variety in
my jewelry but I don't want to spend $25 on a bracelet for myself or my child. Who can afford
a different bracelet each day of the week when they cost that much? My bracelets are only
$4.00 each and are custom made in the color(s) you like. Now you can have a different bracelet
, earrings, etc. each day of the week.


Q. Do you feel like your business is a success in your eyes. Is this the
business that truly makes you happy?
A. I love making jewelry and I am thrilled when I get a note from a satisfied customer. Satisfied
customers have made my business a success.


Q. What advice can you give to other moms that want to work from home?
A. Find something you love to do. A job should be a joy not a chore
