Spy Kids: All the Time in the World DVD Review + Activities

Got a Spy Kids fan on your shopping list? Last month the Spy Kids 4: All The Time In The World was released on DVD and Blu-Ray. My daughter Hannah is 7 and is a huge fan of the previous Spy Kids movies. She has the other movies in her DVD collection and was excited to see that mom had a new Spy Kids DVD that she had not seen yet. She watched it this weekend and asked if she could keep the DVD in her room because she really liked it and wants to watch it again.

The action packed franchise is back…with the next generation of Spy Kids! Marissa Cortez Wilson (Jessica Alba) has it all: married to a famous spy-hunting television reporter (Joel McHale), with a new baby and intelligent twin step kids, Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard) and Cecil (Mason Cook). When the maniacal Timekeeper (Jeremy Piven) disrupts her domestic bliss—threatening to take over the planet—Marissa comes out of retirement as a top secret agent. With Armageddon quickly approaching, Rebecca and Cecil are thrust into action! With a little help from some familiar Spy Kids friends, Carmen (Alexa Vega), Juni (Daryl Sabara), their faithful dog Argonaut (Ricky Gervais) and some mind-blowing gadgets, they just may be able to save the world!

My favorite part of this Spy Kids DVD is that Jessica Alba is one of the stars. I think she is an awesome actress and was happy to see that she was involved with such a cute movie.

I almost forgot to mention the cool bonus materials that are included with the DVD we received.  The bonus features include an interview with director Robert Rodriguez, a Spy Gadgets Clip, deleted scenes and more!

Right now Spy Kids 4: All The Time In The World is available on DVD at Amazon for only $14.99!

I have been a fan of video games every since I was a kid. Last year I asked Santa to bring me a Nintendo Wii and I got my wishes. California Wine Club Review – Great Gift Idea

This year I discovered that I like wine. I have also had fun trying different types and flavors of wine this year and determined that I am a fan of the white wines. Don’t get me wrong, there are some good red wines, but if asked which one I prefer out of the two, I would have to go with something white and fruity.

A fun way that I have been able to try some of the different wines available is through my Premier Membership at the California Wine Club. With having a membership to this club, I receive two different wines to try each month. There are different levels of membership too, depending on what types of wines that you want delivered.

In last month’s shipment, I received the Castoro Cellars 2010 “Blind Faith” Paso Robles Pinot Noir. I have to say that this wine had taste that I enjoyed and something I would order again. Right now this is available on the California Wine website for only $13.99 per bottle (regularly $26.00).

Savor the concentrated fruit aromas that are a hallmark of Castoro’s “Blind Faith” Pinot Noir. On the palate, you’ll find black cherry and tea notes, toasty, smoky flavors and every reason to take another sip!

If you have someone on your shopping list that is a fan of wine, a Premier Club Membership to the California Wine Club might make for a great gift idea.

Disney’s Prep & Landing

When you have children and the topic of Santa Claus comes up, you might get asked some questions that you don’t necessarily know how to answer. One of those questions I had when I was little was “just how does Santa go to millions of home to deliver presents all in one night?”. Of course we are going to tell our children about Santa’s little elves, but will they really believe us?

I just watched Disney’s Prep & Landing and this is perfect to watch with those with little curious minds.

Prep & Landing is an adorable holiday story about a high-tech team of elves who ensure homes around the world are properly prepared for their visit from Santa. After working for a tireless 227 years, an elf named Wayne (voiced by Dave Foley) is upset when he doesn’t receive an expected promotion. Instead he is partnered with an idealistic rookie elf named Lanny (voiced by Derek Richardson) to execute a special Christmas Eve mission. While on their journey, Wayne and Lanny encounter unexpected challenges that push them to their limits and ultimately threaten Christmas for children around the world. But in the end, these two elves work together to guide Santa through a raging snowstorm in order to save Christmas.

Take a peek at the elves below…

My youngest two watched Prep & Landing yesterday and then I watched it again with them today. Normally I don’t watch the Bonus Features on our movies, but this one has some really cute bonus features that your children will enjoy.

You can buy Prep & Landing right now on Amazon for only $13.99.

Tervis Tumbler Review

When I am at home, I can be picky on what cup I drink my beverages in. I don’t know why, but I just am.  This past month I received a set of tumblers from Tervis and I am in love. I think I have found my new FAVORITE kind of cup!

If you are like me, you probably hate when you go to grab a cup to take a sip and there is a bunch of condensation on your cup and your hands get wet. This has been always one of my pet peeves when it comes to drinking a beverage at my desk. In the past I have gotten my keyboard and mouse wet from cups I been drinking out of.

The Tervis Tumblers that I received are awesome! What makes them special to me is that they are insulated and keep my drinks both hot and cold. These cups come in a variety of sizes and designs. You will be impressed with just how many variations of these cups that they offer. I especially like the Tervis products for kids. The tumblers that we received have lids that close. For me, this saves on quite a few spills at my house with my son always running around with a cup of milk or water in his hand.

Here are some additional fun features about these cups:

  • Provide double insulation so there is no condensation
  • Keeps your cold drinks cold and your hot drinks hot
  • Virtually unbreakable

To make these even better, the Tervis tumblers come with a Lifetime Guarantee!  They are designed so they don’t break, melt, crack, chip or shatter. If for some reason you have a tumbler that breaks, you will be able to receive a replacement. Since I have a house that has a ton of tile, I think I am liking that these come with a guarantee!

The Littlest Angel DVD Review + Trailer + Free Activity Booklet

Since the kids are on vacation this week, I have been busy finding fun movies for them to watch to keep them entertained. We received a copy of The Littlest Angel on DVD to review and I have to say that this is such a cute movie for the younger children.  This is a story of a young boy who arrives in heaven before it is his time. He his home-sick, lonely and has to travel back to earth to retrieve a gift for The Baby Jesus.

“This is a story that has made so many people happy over the years,” says Lance Thompson, one of the producers of the film. “We’ve added some new elements to this production, but this is still The Littlest Angel everyone remembers from their childhood, and one that parents will enjoy introducing to their kids. I think Tazewell would enjoy knowing his work lives on.”

It’s a modern twist on the timeless tale of an Angel that discovers the greatest gifts in life are faith, friendship and doing the right thing. This new version of The Littlest Angel features wonderful animation and great vocal talent, including Ron Perlman (“Beauty and The Beast,” Tangled), and is sure to become a holiday favorite, much like the book it’s based on. The Littlest Angel is a motion picture that will put a smile on everyone’s face, and what better gift is there than that.

This movie just came out onto DVD on the 15th and would make for a great gift for the holidays. I love the animation in this movie and love that it is based on a best-selling children’s book! This DVD has so many cute scenes that made the kids and I giggle!
