Recommended Spooky Halloween DVDs For The Kids + DVD Giveaway

My youngest children have been enjoying all of the Halloween themed shows that they have been watching on TV these last couple weeks. Since Fall looks like it is finally here, there is definitely going to be days when the kids are stuck inside and us moms have to find ways to entertain them. I have a couple DVDs for Halloween that I want to recommend for those of you that have children and of course a DVD player!

The first one is one of my favorites, The Cat In The Hat. No matter how old I get, this character never seems to get old and I have always enjoyed reading various The Cat In The Hat books when I was young and of course reading them to my children. Available right now for purchase is The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! Tricks and Treats on DVD. This is a very cute show that I watched with my son yesterday. It was actually his second time watching it. The first time he watched it with my other children who thought it was cute too!

Synopsis – A new spooky adventure this DVD brings, with The Cat, Nick and Sally, Fish and the Things. Meet the eeriest critters you have ever seen, arrived just in time for this Halloween! There’ll be lots of tricks and, of course lots of treats, to share with the animal friends you will meet! There’s a coconut crab, spider monkeys and bats, and plenty more fun with The Cat in the Hat!

The second one I recommend is for those of you with preschool aged children. This would be one of my son’s favorites, WordWorld: A Kooky Spooky Halloween.

Synopsis - The WordFriends get their share of scares the night before Halloween, when Pig sleep walks and everyone thinks he’s a ghost!

Sheep is making herself a super special fairy costume to wear for the big Halloween party. But what will she do when her WordFriends need pieces of her costume for their own use?

I don’t know why, but my 3 1/2 year old son LOVES all the different WordWorld shows. He usually watches them on Netflix, but now he has a DVD that he is always asking to watch. I am enjoying the fact that he loves shows that are educational too!
