Okay, so I have been wanting to see what the Walgreens Register Rewards was all about. I see different bloggers posting about how they are getting stuff cheap and even FREE using these rewards but never had I tried for myself until this morning.
I had to go to Walgreens to get diapers. Yes, I know I could get diapers cheaper elsewhere but its convenient when I am packing around my active 2 year old. Walgreens can make for a fast shopping trip in the morning. I had seen bloggers talk about getting Wet Ones for free so this morning I went ahead and printed two coupons for Wet Ones and headed to Walgreens. I grabbed a copy of the sales ad and seen that Wet Ones were on sale for $2 for $4. So I grabbed a pack of diapers and the Wet Ones. What I did was I made 1 purchase for both of the Wet Ones. They rang up for $2.00 each and I used two coupons for $.75. My total came to $2.85 and I received a $1 Register Reward. I then had the clerk ring up the diapers in which I then used the $1 Register Reward I just received. I know she probably could have told me no, but hey it was a future purchase.
What is a bummer is the fact that my coupons were for $.75 and the post I seen said they were going to be for $1.50 each which would have resulted in more savings. Here is the online post I was going off:
Wet Ones 40 pack
2/$4
-$1 Register Reward off 2
Use two $1.50/1 Wet Ones printable coupon
FINAL PRICE Free after RR and coupon
I am happy though. I had been wanting to buy some Wet Ones to keep in my SUV because I have KIDS. I ended up spending about $.92 cents for each of them after applying the coupons and register reward. These are definitely WAY better than any wipes I could pay a buck for. I will probably be participating in more of these deals now that I know how the system works.
Enjoy
Stefani
