Cute Little Hummingbirds

When I spot a hummingbird outside, I am always amazed with how fast their little wings are flapping. You don't get to watch them very long before they fly away. I recently had a sprinkler going in my backyard and was so amazed to watch this cute little hummingbird try to drink out of the water coming out of the sprinkler.

I was reading online that hummingbirds migrate. Their migration is part of their lifecycle and necessary for their survival. Now this was some information I never knew about these birds. Since I don't have a big dog in the backyard or any cats, I would like to buy some hummingbird feeders for my backyard. It would be fun to see if they come to my backyard to eat!

I Want A Pool Like NOW!

Today is a very hot day here in California. I don't even want to leave my house because it is so darn hot. I have A/C in my SUV, but that means draining my gas tank going anywhere. I envy all of my friends and families that have pools in their backyards. I yearn to have a pool in my back yard, even if it is not a built in pool. There are many pools that are affordable now that are not the built in the ground.

If I had lots of money to spend, I would buy one of those aquatic therapy pools. Since swimming is very good exercise, I would definitely get my money out of it. Time To Start Gardening

Now that it is getting hot, I am having to water my outside plants almost every day. I used to have just a few plants until my mom decided to bring me a ton of different plants in different size planters. I woke up one day to having about 10 times the amount of outdoor plants in outdoor planters than I had the day before. I have been wanting to plant some more bulbs in one of my flower gardens. I love when I plant something then I wait for months and a pretty flower blooms. I just love bulbs! I also have two big window box planters that need more plants.

I think I am going to pick a day this month to plant a bunch of new outdoor plants with my kids. I think they would enjoy watching flowers bloom that they helped plant. It will give us something fun to do for the day. I recently wrote an ebook on plants and learned a bunch of helpful tips while I was researching for the ebook.

Celebrity Deaths Today

While I went to take my daughter to get something to eat, I had heard on the radio that Michael Jackson was in the hospital for cardiac arrest. When I got home I logged into Facebook to see posts that he had actually died. I then seen that Farrah Fawcett died as well as Jeff Goldblum. What a devastating day this has been for so many people. It is hard to believe that Michael Jackson is really dead. I was a fan of his when I was a child through my teen years.

My heart goese out to the friends and families for all three of these celebrities.

Got Summer Plans?

Now that summer is here I am going to be looking for fun things to do this summer with my family. I live in Northern California, so there are places we can visit, we just got to take a road trip. I could buy Angel Stadium Tickets if I wanted to drive to Los Angeles to watch the Angels play. There is a game scheduled for 7:05pm tonight, don't think I am going to make it. Or I could buy Dodger Stadium Tickets to watch the Dodgers play. There next game is on Friday. Not sure about that one either. Los Angeles happens to be an 8 hour drive. Now I might be able to get some Minute Made Park Tickets in August. We are thinking of flying with Hailey back to Texas in August and might just want to watch a game while we are there.

Which TV Service Do You Use?

I have a family that loves to watch TV. We have to have more then just the basic channels. Our kids love to watch The Disney Channel, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon.. I love to watch TNT, Lifetime and of course VH1 and MTV. Then my husband has his favorite. He loves to watch the Speed Channel. I am sure you know that you don't get these channels by just plugging in your tv set.

I recently was approached by someone who was a representative for Direct TV. He showed me the different channels that they had to offer. While they provided the channels that my family loves to watch, they also seemed to offer more. I was contemplating on switching over to Satellite Directv.

I am one that does not like too much change in my life unless it benefits my family. I currently use a different provider then DirectTV but was really thinking of changing. The salesman showed me how I could save by switching. While I am up for the savings, I still am not sure about changing my service. So I have to ask, which tv service do you prefer?

Very Cool Dry Erase Calendars

When you have lots of stuff to calendar, the dry erase board calendars come in very handy. I just love these types of calendars because you don't have to buy them each year. You just wipe the month away and start over. I have been using these kind of calendars for years for my business.

Thinking About The Future

As I get older each year, I think about how I should be thinking about my future. I also think about what will happen to my children if something was to happen for me. I recently read a blog post where someone had talked about a plan for their blog in case they were to die. While this seems like something you would not want to talk about, the truth is the reality behind it. You see on the news where things happen to people that they never thought would happen to them. I have been thinking for quite some time about putting together some sort of plan for my family in case something happens to me. While I have all these websites and blogs, I am the only one that knows what to do with them.

I also would like to get some sort of life insurance for myself. When I was employed, I always had some sort of life insurance plan that was paid for by my employer. Now that I am self-employed, I have no coverage. I have been thinking of looking online for cheap life insurance to help my children in case of the unexpected. My husband was recently looking at getting some life insurance quotes as well. It is never too late to start planning ahead!

My husband happens to be a car enthusiast which has lead me to enjoy cars too! Now I have had a passion for the older collector cars too, don't get me wrong. Right now I have a project car that I will someday put some work into. I always wanted a 1972 Monte Carlo growing up. Well, I got a 1970 Monte Carlo which is the same body style a couple years ago for Christmas. Even though it does not look like much now, I hope to fix it up one day.

Worried About Your Elders?

As my grandparents get older by the day, I am always worried that something is going to happen to them. Their health is not what it was when I was a young child. I spent most of my childhood with them and they have been there with all of my children. My grandmother and grandfather are still married after 50+ years and I am glad that they have each other in case something was to happen. Thinking of them not being around is something that I don't even want to think about.

Been A Victim Of Identity Theft?

In today's world, more and more people are becoming victims of identity theft. I have even seen commercials promoting ways to avoid identity theft. I actually was a victim a few years back when I left my purse in my friend's car. My bank cards and checkbook were stolen and used.

While looking for freelance writing work online yesterday, I ran across an opportunity to share my story about identity theft. I wrote my story last night and submitted it to the Identity Theft Chat website for inclusion on their site. I then submitted it this morning with hopes of them wanting to publish it.

Hothouse Botanicals Review

This bath and body diva is back to tell you about a couple new products I have been trying this past week. These two products I want to share with you are products are from Hothouse Botanicals, an awesome online store that sells natural and organic aromatherapy bath and body products.

The first product from Hothouse Botanicals I have been trying out is their Bergamot/Ylang Ylang Body Butter. I am a lotion and body butter connoisseur. I have to use one of these two products when I get out of the shower as well as all day long while I am working. A diva has to have soft skin you know? This body butter has a nice soothing scent and leaves my skin smooth without any greasy residues.

The second product I have been using is their Lavandin/Litsea Cubeba Whipped Sugar Scrub. If you have read any of my past product reviews, you know I just LOVE sugar scrubs. Learning To Cook Like A Chef

When I watch my favorite talk show each day, I see a ton of commercials for different schools during the commercial breaks. One type of these commercials I see that really gets my attention are the commercials for the different cooking schools in my area. Now I want to take some classes in cooking for my own benefit. I don't want to become a chef in a restaurant, just one at home. My husband says I am a good cook, but I would love to be able to cook more than just the basic things I cook all the time for my family.

When I see the commercials for these various culinary arts schools, I wonder how big the demand really is for this profession. The commercials I see are always stating there is a huge demand for this type of industry. While I plan on working for myself for the rest of my life, maybe one day I just might want to open a restaurant of my own. I have always been wondering how much it costs to go to one of these schools. Since I just want to do it for fun, I may benefit from taking some cooking classics at my local community college.

Guess Who's On This Plane

This would be SouthWest Flight 221 pulling up in the Oakland International Airport on Monday with my daughter Hailey in it. Remember I told you that she had moved with her mom to Texas a few months ago. She is now back for the summer break from school. My daughter Hannah was so happy to see her walk off that flight! She has been attached to Hailey ever since she got home!

This was Hailey's first airplane ride and she did it alone! I just wish she could have flown in at the Sacramento Airport. I really did not enjoy the city of Oakland. For those of you that live there, pack up your stuff and move!

This is one of the fastest internet connections available in the United States. I thought I already had fast internet service, but this new service is super fast! If you are one that loves to watch movies online, play games and download than you are going to be in love with this new service. This is going to take out the lag that your normally broadband connection gives you. This service takes internet speed to a whole new level. It is currently only available in the St. Louis area, but will be coming soon to other areas this year as well as other high speed products. I am in California and I hope that this type of internet connections come to my area. I love the internet and I love to go fast!

Cool Facebook Application For Students

Are you using Facebook yet? I registered my Facebook account a couple years ago but have not really got into Facebook until recently. This morning I found a cool application called Course Hero. If you are a student and use Facebook, I recommend checking it out.

Course Hero is a social learning network for students, teachers and self-learners to publish, share and view academic a variety of education materials online. By sharing your own study materials with other members, you can earn free full account membership. Once you sign up, you can browse the materials available. You have the ability to search by school, course id, professor, etc. For example, if you are a student at OSU, you can find materials on: CHEM 101 OSU Ohio State University and OSU CHEM 101 Solution.

I have added this as one of my Facebook applications and will definitely be checking it out more this week. I am always for learning more!

Looking For An Ebook?

I love to collect various ebooks that I download online. I have purchased some but many have came with a free price tag. I just found a search engine tonight specifically for ebooks. This Electronic Book Search Engine is called EBook Search Queen. I think this is a great idea, if the results are what you are looking for. I did a search tonight for books on internet marketing. What is cool is when it gives you the results, it has an icon to the left of the title showing you what format the book is in. To the right is a link where you can read the ebook in html version.

This might be something you want to bookmark for future use. I know many of times I find an ebook and forget to bookmark it, then cannot find it later.

New PayPerPost v4

I was reading online a few weeks ago about the new PayPerPost v4.0. I have been a member of the original PayPerPost since it first launched and have been very pleased with it. I decided to go ahead and sign up for the new PayPerPost v4 too. What I have heard about this service is that that it is better than the original because they took the feedback from the last three years and used it to make a new and improved site.

When I first logged in, I knew I was going to like it. You can pick and choose what you are going to post about and get paid for it. You are given opportunities based on your blogs criteria. With this service, the advistor has more control on who they are having blog for them. You will actually get emails letting you know that advertisers are interested in you blogging for them rather than checking your dashboard every five to ten minutes to see if there is a new opportunity available for you.

When you receive an email with an opportunity, you are given three days to complete it and submit your link to the post. Guess what, this is one of my opportunities that I received.

This Is The Time For Frames

I am in the need for some new frames around my house. My daughter Ariyona just got a certificate yesterday from school for completing the 6th grade. Last Friday my daughter Hannah got a diploma from her preschool class which I need a diploma frame for. I also just received a certificate for this program I just completed. I got all these certificates and no frames to display them in. I have a whole wall of fame in my house that needs these new beauties will go on.

Right now there are many people graduating high school and college too! I just read about a 92 year old woman on the news that just graduated. I am not in the need of any university diploma frames just yet. I have been really thinking about going back to college though. On Tuesday I picked up a brochure of one of the community colleges here that lists their current classes they are offering. I am looking for computer related classes like graphic design. One day I will go back and get an actual degree!

I have an idea where I am going to get some frames though, and they are super cheap! Guess I better get to the store and buy some!

More Cool Furniture

I am always looking online at furniture. While I want to save and buy some new furniture for my house, I want to wait a little longer because my son is so young and makes lots of messes. Just last year my daughter Hannah decided to take a pair of scissors and put a cut in one of my leather couches. Seems like I won't have nice furniture until my children are old enough to respect it.

If I was to buy some new furniture, I think I would look for some contemporary furniture for the living room. I also want a new bedroom set. I bought the bed I have about 4 years ago and am already ready for a new one. Have you seen what a platform bed looks like? I think these are very cool and make a room a modern bedroom.

About My Yorkie

I recently got a Yorkie puppy. He know is about 5 months old. This is a dog I have wanted for quite some years. Now he did not come with a cheap price either. I cannot believe how expensive these little dogs are. I have had him a few months and have been wanting to get him his own bed. Right now he sleeps in the kitchen on a pillow. I have a decoration pillow that fell on the floor one day and he claimed it. Since he has been sleeping on it, it now is his property.

Anyhow, I still want to buy him a bed. I have been looking online for something cute and small. I have also been reading up on various pet information websites about this type of breed. I want to see how to potty train this little guy. I am getting tired of cleaning up his messes.

The Baby Fat Diet Review

It had been a quite some time since I read an actual book. I do a ton of reading, but everything I normally read is online as in website content, e-books, articles, etc. When I received a copy of The Baby Fat Diet, I immediately started reading through the first few pages to see what was inside. I have been wanting to lose at least 10 pounds and looking for some ideas to help me get started. I have been successful at losing weight in the past by watching carbs, but that diet is something that is so hard for me. I love bread, pasta and potatoes and those are loaded with carbohydrates.

The Baby Fat Diet book is geared towards moms who are pregnant, but is actually a good read for anyone that has been or is currently pregnant. There are some moms who have had children years ago that are still looking to lose their baby fat. I read most of the chapters in this book when I was walking on the treadmill at the gym. While reading this book, it gave me the incentive to keep walking longer than I normally would. See, I usually get bored at the gym and end up leaving after about a half an hour or so.

There is some really good information in this book. You can learn what foods to add to your diet to help you lose weight. What is the right and wrong types of food to eat. When you should eat and what. How much you should eat and what is too much. This book is truly filled with some great information.

Looking For Plus Size Clothing?

I love shopping for clothes when I have the extra money. I have to admit that I am pretty picky though when it comes to clothes for me. I will see something that I like, but I will try it on and won't like how it looks on me. I have to say that I love shopping for my 16 month old son though. Free Camping In North Carolina

One thing that I want to do this summer is go camping with my family. I remember going camping when I was a kid and loving it. I would have to go camping at a place that had showers though! I am not one that goes a day without taking a shower. I would really love to buy an RV in a few years to take family trips in.
