Hannah Graduates Preschool

How time flies! My youngest daughter Hannah just graduated preschool this Friday. The school had us meet at a park in Sacramento for a little graduation ceremony and BBQ. Then after we ate the kids got to ride some rides at this small amusement park called Funderland. Hannah had a blast and did not want to leave. I was very surprised that my son sat in his stroller most of the time without fussing. I did get to take him on the carousel which he was not sure about at first.

Now Hannah will be starting kindergarten at the end of August. She was not happy that school was ending because she LOVES school. I am just hoping her new teacher will be as awesome as her two preschool teachers.

CONGRATULATIONS HANNAH!

Ever Used Chat Lines To Talk To People?
Have any of you used free chat lines to meet people online for business purposes? When you have your own business, you tend to try to find as many ways you can to get people to notice what you have to offer. I have tried many offline methods years ago when I was first trying to get visitors to my websites.

If you don't want to leave your home, but want to talk to people on the phone, try using a free chat line. There are different kinds, some are for the younger crowds like the free teen chat. I would try a free chat line that is not geared towards personals, just people looking to talk to others and make new friends!

Just an idea for offline advertising!

Freebies Freebies Freebies
I am a freebie fanatic. I am one of those people who enjoys when a company offers free samples. It is better to try out a product first, before you buy the actual product. Now I don't normally watch The Tyra Banks Show, not because I don't like it, I just don't have much time for watching tv but today the show caught my eye. Her show today was all about finding and getting things for FREE. I actually watched almost the whole show. I missed the first few minutes and plan on going on her website to see what I missed.

What I wanted to let you all know about was a few sites that one of her guest's recommended. These are sites that you can sign up for that will send you product samples just for becoming a fan of their site. I am sure that some of you may have already heard of these companies or have joined them.

For all of the links that were mentioned today, please visit: http://tyrashow.warnerbros.com/2009/05/free_is_the_way_to_be.php

P.S. I also have a blog on Mommy Enterprises where I post freebies I find online. You can visit my blog at: http://www.mommyenterprises.com/freebie-blog

Do You Love To Dance?
Have you seen that movie Save The Last Dance? I know it is an old movie, but it is one that I enjoyed watching and have seen at least three or four times. When I think about that movie, I think about people who have a passion for dancing. It is awesome that people actually can make a career out of using their talent with their feet.

If you are one that is involved with dancing, there is a great dance supplies store online called Capezio. They are one of the most trusted and well known supplier of dancewear to people of all ages. If you are one that likes to save money, be sure to check out their clearance section on their site. You can save up to 90% off of great dance supplies and dancewear.

I am hoping that one of my three daughters wants to get involved in dance one day!

Gift Ideas For Dad
Have you thought about what you are going to get your father for Fathers Day this year. Even though dad's special day is not until next month, you should start thinking of something special you can get him. Even though my father passed away in 2000, I will still be thinking of him and might bring him some flowers to his grave. Since my husband is the father of my children, I know that I am going to be getting him something special to show my appreciation. I actually won a digital hand painted posted print in a giveaway recently. I chose a picture my daughter Hannah and I which I am currently waiting to receive. If I can get that from the mailman before he gets it first, I am going to save it for him for Fathers Day.

There are lots of gift ideas that will put a smile on your dad's face. One thing I have seen promoted all over is various types of jewelry. If you look now, you can probably find a good deal on a ring, watch or bracelet for dad. Another thing I have seen is money clips. Some of these can even be personalized with your dad's name or initials. Does your dad work from home? Maybe you can get him a new office chair. I asked for a new office chair a couple years ago for Christmas. I am sitting on it now and LOVE it.

When buying something online, be sure to see if you can buy it somewhere else online for cheaper. Also search for coupon codes or promo codes to save money on your purchase.

Mint Pillows Review
From that simple idea came a simple product – art pillows. We thought, ‘What a wonderful, useful way to bring art, color and contemporary design into people’s lives!’.

My home is a place that can never have enough pillows. When watching a movie on the couch, what makes the movie better is something comfortable to rest your head on. We have two large couches in our living room. When we received a pillow from Mint Pillows, I knew it was going to give my living room an added touch to it. Above our fireplace I have a few different oriental statues and figurines. There were something that were my grandmothers that remind me of her when I look at them.

We received the Tokyo Wall pillow and I knew exactly where I was going to put it. It now lays right on the couch below the mantle with the statues I just mentioned. This pillow is decorated with a Japanese elder who is in front of a urban wall. This design came from an actual photograph! What is special about this pillow is the fact that is that it is numbered and only a limited amount of these have been made. It was a great fit for my living room. It is not something that just anyone can buy at their local retail store.

Mint Pillows currently has three different collections of pillows. If you are looking for some nice pillows to decorate your living room with, check out the their different pillows from their three collections. I just LOVE their Aloha collection that is inspired by lush Hawaiian sunsets. If you like Hawaiin stuff, you will love these pillows too!

Girl In A Dress Review

You might think that this post is going to be about a dress that we got to review. It is actually about one of my daughter's favorite t-shirts. When my daughter received her t-shirt from Girl In A Dress, she immediately ripped it out of the packaging and put it on. It came minutes before us leaving to take her to preschool. What worried me was she tends to get messy at school with all the arts and crafts she does, I just had to snap a picture of her in the shirt before anything happened to it.

The shirt that we received was the Girl In A Tiara. I actually let Hannah pick which t-shirt she wanted from four different designs. As she was picking, my twelve year old got jealous and wanted a shirt too! Know that Hannah patiently awaited the arrival of the shirt she choose. That is why she was so excited when the mailman finally delivered it to our front door. When Hannah got to her classroom, she ran into the classroom to show her teacher. Her teacher asked her if she drew the picture of the little girl on the front of the t-shirt. I got to tell her why this shirt is so special.

There is a story behind Girl In A Dress. See, this little nine year old girl named Taylor had a very stylish imagination. One day she created a poem about her love for playing dress up and named her poem "Girl In A Dress". She also decided that the poem needed a few fashionable accessories and drew three pictures. She drew a girl in a tiara, a girl in a beret and a girl in a tutu. Seeing the talent behind this whole thing, Taylor's mom decided to start a business where they turned little Taylor's designs into cute little t-shirts for girls. So when my daughter's teacher asked Hannah if she drew the picture, I told her about the little nine year old that actually designed the t-shirt. When Hannah wore the t-shirt the newt week, her teacher complimented her when she walked in saying "Hannah, you are wearing my favorite shirt". My favorite thing about the shirt is the quality. Most t-shirts you buy online are really thin and wear easily with a few washings. This shirt is going to last a long time!

If you are interested in purchasing one of these special t-shirts for your little girl, please visit a Girl In A Dress at: http://www.girlinadress.com

I Want To Continue My Education
I am living one of my childhood dreams. When I was young, I always wanted my own business. I wanted to have my own home office and make money from the comfort of my own home. I was able to quit my job after building a network of websites and blogs, but it took me a few years. Since my business consists of creating my own blogs and websites there is always a need to learn more about computer science. Computer technology is always changing, so there is always something I can take a class on. One of the things I would like to learn more about is graphic design. I have created my own images as well as paid for professional graphics to be made.

Since I am a mom of four children, going to school outside the home is probably not going to work for me. I have been researching different online schools where I can take classes from home. Don't get me wrong I love going to college. I actually attended 3 years of a vocational school to learn computer programming.

Today I have been browsing Train 4 Vocational Career. This is an online directory for those looking for a new career. It can help those that are looking to start school or go back to school. With the economy the way it has been this past year, many are looking for new paths and ways to enhance their skills. If you are looking for online degree programs, you might want to check out this site too!

An Alternative To Credit Cards
I receive quite a few emails from visitors to Mommy Enterprises stating that they want to start a home business opportunity but do not have a credit card. I also provide a lead service that asks the prospects if they have a credit card. About half of the leads will respond that they do not have a credit card. With most home business opportunities, you are going to have to have some sort of credit card to sign up. With many services, you are billed each month a fee. If you don't have a credit card, you are not able to be billed.

If you are one of these people in this situation, I would suggest getting a prepaid debit card that can be used as a Visa or Mastercard. I have used these types of cards to sign up for various services online that I did not want to have my actual credit card number. If you don't know where to get these types of debit cards, you can actually purchase them online. One of the sites that you can visit is http://www.achievecard.com. With this service there is no credit check. You are approved when you sign up and no bank account is needed. You load the card with your own money, so no spending money that you do not have. Using these types of cards is a much safer than using your own credit card number. I have had my credit card posted online and had to close my account a few years ago. It is better to be safe than sorry!

Fancy Fortune Cookies Review And Giveaway

When ordering Chinese food, I am always excited to eat my fortune cookie that I receive with my order. Now that I have tried Fancy Fortune Cookies, those cookies from the Chinese food restaurants are never going to be the same. Fancy Fortune Cookies has the most amazing fortune cookies I have ever seen and tasted.

I received a box of their flavored fortune cookies. Boy, did my family have fun trying all the different flavors we received. We tried blueberry, cherry, orange, mint, raspberry, strawberry, coconut, chocolate and even cappuccino flavored cookies. My favorites were the cherry and raspberry. They all came with some very cool fortunes inside them too. What is also special about these cookies is the ability to personalize the fortunes that come inside. These would make great party favors. Even Oprah Winfrey used these cookies at an important event she created. Be sure to check out their testimonials from their happy customers too!

Another item I received from Fancy Fortune Cookies was one of their Giant Fortune Cookies. Now this has to be one of the biggest cookies I have ever seen. When I opened the box, I had to run across the street and show my neighbor who loves fortune cookies too! He was amazed at how big the cookie was. I don't suggest eating it by yourself either. It comes with a BIG fortune that can be personalized and wrapped real nice and pretty with a ribbon. This would make a great gift for someone who has everything.

Fancy Fortune Cookies has other neat cookies that I have not yet had a chance to try like their chocolate covered fortune cookies that resemble chocolate covered strawberries. If you are having a wedding, baby shower, anniversary party or any other kind of event, these are sure to be a HIT! They offer same day shipping for those who like to plan things at the last minute too!

Guess What? Fancy Fortune Cookies is offering one of my readers 100 personalized fortune cookies. They also get to pick which flavor of cookies they want.

I Hate My Eyebrows!
I am one of those mommies out there that have my eyebrows waxed. I started doing this about 15 years ago. When I was first having them waxed, the lady told me that if I kept having them they would eventually stop growing in so thick. Well, that has never happened. I have thick eyebrows and I wished I didn't. My mom used to tell me when I was a child that I looked like Brooke Shields. For me, that was no reason to keep my eyebrows the way they naturally are.

My waxing all started when I had a group of friends that were a few years older than me. They took me to the mall and insisted I had my eyebrows waxed. I figured if they were asking me to do it, then maybe I needed it. Ever since I have went out of my way to make my eyebrows skinnier.

Have you ever had your eyebrows waxed? It does not feel so great. After they wax, they usually do some plucking to make them perfect. Almost every time I have them done, I think about the permanent hair reduction you can have done by laser. I have a friend that had her eyebrows removed. She then had tattoos done to resemble eyebrows. You can't even tell they are not real unless you are up close looking at them. This sounds a little drastic, but she has perfect shaped eyebrows everyday when she wakes up.

What are your thoughts about waxing, hair removal, etc?

E-cloth Review
Summer time is almost here, so you still have time to do some Spring Cleaning. I have found a new cleaning product that will make cleaning a little easier. I would say more fun, but not many people really consider cleaning fun. It is not some non-toxic cleaner either. It is a product called E-cloth.

E-Cloth is a new cleaning method that is CHEMICAL FREE. You use only water and the E-cloth to clean at a deep microbial level. The E-Cloth can be used to clean everything like stainless steel, worktops, glass, chrome, granite and even wood. Using the E-Cloth will save you money each month. You will save money by not buying the cleaning chemicals/cleansers you would normally buy as well as the paper towels that many of you use to clean with. If you add these savings up for a year, it might be a great savings for your family. The average family uses around 40 rolls of paper towels each year which is a savings of around $40 to $80 per year for just paper towels.

There are different types of E-cloths you can purchase. I received the "Kitchen Pack" which includes 2 cloths. It contains a general purpose cloth and a glass & polishing cloth. You can buy the general purpose cloths individually which are available in different colors too! If you are trying to "Go Green", this might be a way to start.

The features and benefits of the E-cloth:

  • Exceptional cleaning results—especially on stainless steel and glass—no streaks, no smears.
  • Faster and easier than "old fashioned" chemical cleaning—just introduce water, fold E-cloth and wipe. There is no need for dual action of putting on chemicals and taking them off.
  • Cost effective/environmentally friendly—E-cloth reduces chemical costs and the need for harmful household cleaning chemicals by up to 90%.
  • High quality/durable—E-cloth can be high heat washed and dried 300+ times, killing any bacteria which may have been picked up during the cleaning process
You can find out more about E-cloth or purchase one at: http://www.ecloth.com

Save $5 At Walgreens
I am one of those Walgreens shoppers. Since the one near me is open 24 hours, it is quit convenient when someone in the family is ill and you need to run to the store for some medicine in the middle of the night. They also have some great specials on diapers and wipes that I love to catch.

Anyhow, they are having a 2 day promotion (May 20 & 21) that customers can save $5 off any $25 or more purchase. Now this does not sound like a lot, but if you are going shopping there anyways, why not save a few bucks. Visit the image below or click here to visit the page to print the coupon.

Vacation Spot In South Carolina
I have never been to South Carolina but I hope to be able to see it someday. I actually would like to visit every state in the United States at least once before I get old in age. Today I was reading about Towers On The Grove, a North Myrtle Beach Resort in South Carolina. This place sits on over 500 feet of gorgeous oceanfront coastlines. I love to stay in a hotel with a view of the ocean or beach.

I love the beach atmosphere and would love to take a vacation here. If you are looking for Oceanfront North Myrtle Beach Resort North Myrtle Beach Resorts, this is the place to go. They have pools, hot tubs, lazy river, spa treatments, dinner theaters, deep sea fishing and more. If you love golf, be sure to check out their golf packages.

Games For Girls

My two oldest daughters who are twelve and ten years old love playing online games. There favorite types of games are virtual games and dress up games. I don't know why, but they love the various types of dress up games you can play free online. What I do is allow them to play games when they are finished with their homework. This is one of the things that must be done before they can get online to play. What I did was setup a bunch of bookmarks on their computer so that they could easily access the games that they like to play the most.

I just found a site that has a bunch of different games that are directed towards girls. Girl Games like dress up games that my two daughters love. I have it bookmarked to look at later to see if I want to add this site to my daughter's bookmarks.

My Yorkie Puppy
A couple months ago I finally got the dog I have always wanted. My husband bought me a Yorkie Puppy. We named him Prince Ewok because he resembles an Ewok from Star Wars. He is now 5 months old and lively as ever. He has a habit of grabbing my sons toys and running off with them. I am dealing with the joys of owning a puppy.

Before we bought him I used to look for puppies online. There are many different pet sites you can search for dogs, cats, etc. There is a site called Tails R Wagging where you can watch actual puppies on a puppy cam. For instance, if you are in Sydney and searching for Spoodle puppies, you can visit: spoodle puppies sydney. This site also allows you to buy heartworm products online too!

If you are looking for a specific puppy, they have a Request A Puppy form to fill out online. They will help you find what are you are looking for. I thought this was a cool feature.

Are You Using Credit Cards?
With the economy being bad, many are turning to credit cards to pay for things like groceries, bills, etc. A couple years ago I decided to cut up my credit cards. I wanted to pay them off and not be able to charge them back up again.

When operating my business online, a credit card is usually needed for many things. I am glad that my bank offers a debit card that acts as a credit card. With using this, I am using my own money instead of creating more debt for myself. Another thing I have used is those prepaid credit cards. Those come in handy when signing up for services online that you are unsure about giving your real banking information to.

What are your thoughts on using credit?

Bugalug Review
One great thing about having a daughter is getting to dress them up in cute clothes and hair accessories. I have three daughters and have had so much fun throughout the years doing their hair in pigtails, ponytails, braids, etc. My youngest daughter Hannah who is 4 loves wearing headbands which makes some days easy when I am getting her ready for preschool.

I recently received a few hair accessories from this cute online shop called Bugalug. The first thing that Hannah immediately grabbed was the headband. The headbands at Bugalug are made from fabric and are adjustable to fit any head size from infant to adult. This was actually the first time I had seen a headband like this. We received the All Girl Flutterflies design but there are many to choose from. It would actually be hard trying to decide on just one since there are so many cute designs. If you have a daughter that loves wearing headbands, try one of these out!

The next thing I received from Bugalug to review was a set of their barrettes. We received a pair of Berry Multistripes barrettes from their Berry Delight collection. Again, there are so many pretty designs of barrettes to choose from. You can either buy these in a collection of 6 or purchase each pair separately. I love that these hair clips are so easy to fasten. You just squeeze the end and clip onto your child's hair. I am going to have to buy more of these!

The next thing I received to review was one of their Pony Loops. These give your child's ponytail that extra pizazz. My daughter Hailey used to demand wearing a ponytail in her hair every single day. I wish I would have had some of these Pony Loops back when she was younger. We received the Pony Loops Black Pattern but there are 30 different designs you can choose from. You can purchase these individually or in packs of three.

The last thing I received to review was a Soother Saver. This is a clip that attaches to your child's shirt and their pacifier. While I still have a son that is only 15 months, I took his pacifier away months ago. If he was still using a pacifier, I would love to use one of these. What makes the Soother Saver unique is the cute designs and the jewels that are fastened on them. If you are a Hip mommy, you will love using one of these along with your child's pacifier.

If you would like to take a peek at all the cute designs or purchase any of these items, you can visit the Bugalug website at: http://www.bugalugbaby.com

Custom Wedding Invitations
Are you getting married soon or planning a wedding for someone? If you are planning a wedding, you can find a ton of resources and items for your wedding online. Planning a wedding can take a lot of time. One of the things you will need when you are getting married is wedding invitations. This is if you are having a wedding where you are inviting friends and family. When I got married, only my children were there so I did not get the chance to order any cute wedding invitations. I am hoping to renew my vows one day and have a wedding where my family can attend.

The site Custom Creations By Leslie has an awesome variety of custom invitations for all types of events and occasions. They also have party favors if you are having a party. If you are planning a baby shower, there are some very cute designs you can choose from. The selection of wedding invitations is pretty cool though. For example, if you are getting married in Las Vegas, there are specific Las Vegas wedding invitations. They also have wedding shower, engagement, rehearsal dinner, anniversary and more type designs.

For those of you that read my blog, you know how I just love using reusable shopping bags. I use them for more than just carrying my groceries. They are excellent to hold your library books in, toys, junk mail and whatever else you can fill them with. I have quite a collection of these bags because I have a big family. When I go shopping, I need more than just a couple bags to bring home all my groceries.

I wanted to share with you some very cool reusable that I have been using. I received two its-laS-tik bags to review. Now these bags are very stylish. I received a medium Tinsel bag and a medium Bourbon Street bag. When I opened the package, my kids asked me if they could have them. I told they could use them but they were MINE! They have some very cute designs if you are interested in these reusable shopping bags.

Shopping Online For UK Visitors

So I am sure you know by now that I love shopping online. It is so much more convenient than going to the mall and searching for what I want. With being able to shop online, I can find exactly what I want and find the lowest price.

I found a cool site to help me with my shopping needs. There is a site called ShopWiki that crawls the internet like Google and will find products you are looking for. This is available in both the US and the UK. So say I am looking for a new blender to make smoothies. When I search for blender on this site, I find a variety of results from a variety of different stores. What is also neat is the ability to narrow down your search. You can narrow it down by price, color or brand.

I was messing around and searched for cherry wood dining table. Now this is something I wish I could afford right now. I have always wanted one of these. I actually got some pretty affordable results back. I wanted to see if I was on sale somewhere, but only found Gwen Stefani stuff. This is a great way to search for products you might need shoes, golf shoes, wedding shoes, stockings, toaster, wine glasses, silverware, etc.

I have bookmarked this site for future use!

Super Saving Mommy
I just love coupons! Coupons means saving money for my family. Even if I am only saving $1, that is $1 I can spend towards something else my family needs. One thing I do when shopping online is check various coupon websites and blogs to see if I can save money. A lot of times you can find promo codes to get a discount off your purchase or maybe free shipping.

There are lots of coupons sites online that help you save money. One site I would like share with you is Coupon Trunk. This is a blog that has all sorts of different coupons/resources to help you save money. This blog is very easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. You can search by category, name, letter, etc. For example, if you are looking for Walmart coupons, they have a section just for that.

Might be something you want to bookmark! Christmas shopping is going to be here before you know it.

Are You Seeking Employment?
I have heard that finding a job during this past year has or might be quite the challenge. I know some people who have been fired and laid off because the company they were working for can no longer afford to keep them. I feel lucky that I am self employed and work for myself. I have been that person out looking for a job years ago, but hopefully I will work for myself forever.

Did you know that there are tons of jobs in New York. While I live in California, New York is a place that I really want to see. You see people in movies going to New York to find a job. Well, truth is there are jobs there. Even though the economy is bad right now, there are still New York jobs to be found. If you live there, you are probably one of the lucky ones. Many desire the chance to move there to find that dream job.

John Masters Organics Review
Many of you already know that I am a bath and body diva. I LOVE trying different bath and body products. If you are a bath and body diva too, you would enjoy coming to my house to view my collection of lotions, perfumes, spritzes, creams, etc. I recently received a few products from John Masters Organics. I am really impressed with the quality of the three products I received. What is even better is the fact that they offer over 30 different organic bath and body products that I can't wait to try soon!

The first product that I tried was the Linden Blossom Face Creme Cleanser. This is a gentle non-foaming cleanser that I just LOVE. It contains rose and linden blossom essential oils that are mixed with a light facial crème to gently clean away dirt and make-up. I love the unique smell that this cleanser has. I have tried many products that had a floral scent, but this stuff smells really nice and relaxing. It also leaves my face feeling nice and smooth. This product is something that I definitely want to keep in stock at my house.

The second product that I tries was the Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Milk. Now this is some good stuff. The smell is totally AWESOME. Again, this is a unique smell that I have not smelled before. I also love the way it feels when I apply it on my skin. Some of ingredients that makes this stuff so great include: blood orange, bourbon vanilla, milk thistle, sea algae extract and aloe vera gel. I have this bottle of luxury on my desk and keep my skin soft all day with it!

The third product I tried was the Hair Pomade. This is a rich blend of organic beeswax, mango butter and pure essential oils. It is used when styling your hair. It can add moisture and shine for those that want to give their hair a little pampering. You might want to use this if your hair tends to be frizzy or you use a curling iron or flat iron. This stuff can help protect your hair against the heat when using those items.

Like I mentioned above, I really enjoyed using all these products. The Linden Blossom Face Creme Cleanser and Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Milk were my favorites of the three. These will be something I will definitely want to reorder when I run out. John Masters Organics has many more products I would love to try as well. They even have an organic shampoo for your dogs.

Tiny Bigs Review
Does your little one have droopy drawers? My son recently had that problem with his pants and shorts until I received an Accessory from TinyBigs. This accessory is a cute little clasp that attaches to my sons shirt and bottoms to keep them up. No more droopy drawers for little Christopher.

This awesome product was created by a mommy who had the same troubles as lots of other moms have, keeping your child's droopy drawers up. I love products like these that are products you hoped someone else would invent. The designs on these accessories are very cute too! There are currently 6 different designs that are tattoo inspired. Below are the cute designs that you can choose from. I received the last night with "Daddy" on it. Be sure to visit the TinyBigs site for a larger image view of these designs.

I wish I would have had one of these when Hannah was younger because I love the designs geared towards the girls. If you like dressing your little one in onesies, be sure to check out there creepers.

The Cookie Cottage Review

Do you have a sweet tooth? How about a sweet tooth for some nice, soft, homemade cookies made from scratch? I love cookies, especially if they are soft and chewy. Last week I received some of Gail's homemade peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies from The Cookie Cottage. When I took my first bite, I was in heaven. I first thought of hiding the cookies from the rest of my family. They were that good! I then decided that I would share and get my husband's opinion. He tried the peanut butter cookies and LOVED them too! My neighbor came over so I thought I would let him try them as well. He tried both the chocolate chip and the peanut butter and was impressed with both of them. These cookies make a great addition to a big bowl of vanilla ice cream.

If you don't have time to make your own cookies from scratch, this is a great way to feed your sugar cravings. The Cookie Cottage is a home baking business located in Hilliard, Ohio. They help those who have a taste for fresh, homemade cookies but don't have the time to make them themselves. Here is a list of their cookies you can purchase from their site:

  • Butterscotch Oatmeal Chewy
  • Chocolate Chip with or without nuts
  • Double Chocolate Chip with or without nuts
  • M&M
  • M&M - Your School Colors
  • Molasses Spice
  • Oatmeal Raisin with or without nuts
  • Peanut Butter
  • Snickerdoodle
  • Sugar
  • White Chocolate Macadamia Nut
  • Frosted Sugar Cut-outs

Cooking New Recipes For My Family
The last couple weeks I have been cooking new things for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most of my new meals are dinners though, for that is the time when we are all home. My husband came home one night with some steak, bell peppers and onions. He asked me to cook fajitas. I have ate fajitas at restaurants before, but had never cooked them for myself. I was a bit skeptical at first though because I don't normally cook things with onions or bell peppers. I then thought, what the heck and got to cutting up the vegetables. I then cut the meat into strips and mixed them all together. My fajitas came out really good! They were so good I got asked to make them again two nights later. We did add tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream, cheese and lettuce to them as well.

Last night I made cube steak. This was something I really did not know how to cook the correct way. I got online and looked at various recipes. It seemed each of the recipes asked for something I did not have. So I used what I had with reading a few of the directions and they came out awesome. I am not sure how you make them, but here is what I did. I first seasoned the cube steaks with salt, pepper, steak seasoning and some regular seasoning salt. Yes, I love seasonings! I then dipped them into a flour mixture I made of flour, salt and pepper. Then they got dipped into a bowl of eggs. After they were bathed in egg I put them into my bowl of smashed saltine crackers. I had mixed the saltine crackers with some parmesan cheese. I then browned the steaks on the stove in some vegetable oil for about 5 minutes. Once they were brown on each side I put them in the oven on 350 degrees for 25 minutes. When they were done I had grated some pepper jack cheese and put the cheese on the top of the steaks. I put the dish back in the oven for a few minutes for the cheese to melt. When my husband and his friend ate them, I was hoping they liked them. It was a HIT!

I love cooking new stuff that my family loves! I am finding myself cooking more and more with vegetables like bell peppers and onions too!

Heard Of Kissimmee?
A few days ago I was blogging about how I would like to take a trip to Florida so I could visit the Walt Disney Resort. This is one place that I really would like to go on a vacation to in the summer time. While thousands of people are dreaming of taking a vacation to Hollywood to see celebrities, I am dreaming of going the complete opposite way to Florida.

One of the places I would like to visit in Florida if I get to go there would be Kissimmee. It is a place to take a trip to that is right in the middle of Central Florida. It is also just few minutes from Orlando, the city I have wanted to take a trip to. This place is now for its authentic small-town charm. I think this is why you might just see a celebrity there while you are there.

If you are entering contests, you just might want to enter to win a trip there. Kissimmee is offering three (3) weekend getaways (3 days/2 nights) for two (2); and two (2) week-long vacations for four (4). Drawings will be held on or around 4/1/09, 5/1/09 and 6/1/09.

School Is Almost Over

I got a little reminder on Monday that Hannah's last day of preschool is May 29. I guess she is getting out a little earlier than my other daughters. I cannot believe how fast the school year has gone by. Next month many teens will be graduating from high school too! What this means is in just a few months, my oldest daughter Ariyona will be starting junior high. This makes me feel old! I can still remember my junior high years and they seem like they were just years ago.

If you have a child that is graduation, you might be interested in buying them an award to show them how proud you are. The site TrophieSales.com sells graduation awards. These awards consist of cute cups, resins, plaques and medals. I still have my graduation gifts that I got from my family! You only graduate high school once, so get them something nice that they can keep forever. This site also has a variety of other types of awards such as softball trophies, soccer trophies, track trophies and more.

Urban Aid Review
Are you a mom that carries a first aid kit in your purse, car or diaper bag. I have to admit that I am one of those moms that carries a "medicine kit" that is full of bandaids in my diaper bag. Having 4 children, you just never know when one of your kids is going to get hurt. Now that I have a son, I am really going to need to bring bandages with me everywhere I go. In my opinion, raising a boy is way different than raising a girl. My son is already trying to explore everything he possibly can.

When I heard of Urban Aid, I was really curious to find out what they carried. If you have never heard of this company, they sell some very cool "on the go" kits that moms would be interested in taking with them when they leave home. I was lucky enough to review three of their "On The Go Kits".

The original "On The Go Kit" includes:
1 "mini" emery board
2 dental flossers
1 sewing kit
1 hairband
2 adhesive bandages
1 stain treating towelette

The sport "On The Go Kit" includes:
2 moist towelettes
1 sunblock towelette
1 lens wipe towelette
2 adhesive bandages
1 packet of lip ointment
1 hair band
1 packet of pain reliever

The travel "On The Go Kit" includes:
2 hydrating lotion towelettes
2 moist towelettes
2 dental flossers
2 packets of lip ointment
1 set of ear plugs
1 hair band

I love all three of these kits. I keep them in the center compartment of my SUV just in case of emergencies. Urban Aid carries more fun kits too! They have an Arrival Survival Kit, Shame On You Kit, Be My Guest Kit, Period Pal Kit, Clean Getaway Kit, and Oops Kit. The kits are also refillable too! These might be a great gift for that someone that has everything.

You can view what is in all their kits by visiting their website at: http://www.urbanaid.com.

Need To Promote Your Business Offline?
Do you need signs for your business? If you are located in Southern California, you might want to check out the STG Signs & Graphics. They provide customers with Orange County vehicle wraps. I am not sure if you have seen these or not in your area. I have seen some pretty interesting vehicles here where I live. I will be driving down the street and look next to me and see a car, truck or SUV all decorated in an advertisement. Normally, it looks like the vehicle's paint job. I would not mind others driving around promoting Mommy Enterprises all over there cars. I have always wondered how much damage to the paint it does when you have it removed.

Anyhow, STG Signs & Graphics provides a variety of banners, decals, posters, signs, etc. You don't have to be located in Southern California either. They have a website you can visit if you are intersted in purchasing from them. There are so many fun ways to promote your businss if you have the money to do it!

Bagnesia Review
Do you own reusable shopping bags but forget to bring them when you go shopping? I have had this happen to me more than just a few times. If you can't remember to use your reusable bags, you just might have Bagnesia!

I recently received the Bagnesia Reminder Kit. This is a kit that helps you remember to bring your reusable shopping bags with you when you leave your house. The kit comes with a reusable shopping bag, door hanger, steering wheel wrap, wrist lanyard key chain and carabineer clip. I think the steering wheel wrap is a great way to remind you that about your bags. Obviously you are going see it or feel it when you are driving.

This is a great gift idea too for those that are trying to live their life eco-friendly. This is definitely something you don't see everywhere and would really make a unique gift for someone.

You can purchase one of these kits by visiting the Bagnesia website at: http://www.bagnesia.com

Looking For A Dress For A Prom?
I remember going to my Senior Ball back in 1994. While it seems like it was just a few years ago, the reality is that it was really about 15 years ago. How time sure seems to fly. I still remember the dress that I wore. It was a cute black dress with some jewels on the front. I think the dress is still hanging in my Nana's closet. Not that I could fit into it anymore. I remember taking time to pick out the perfect dress for this dance.

If you are in the market for a prom dress for your daughter or yourself, there is an online store that has some really pretty formal dresses. It won't be long until I am looking for one for my oldest daughter. She is starting junior high next in a few months and high school seems to be only around the corner. My favorite types of formal dresses are always going to be black. I don't know why, but I think black seems to look good on almost anyone. Back to the store I was talking about. Not only do they have some adorable dresses, their prices are awesome too! The dress I have pictured in this post is only $32.99. You can't go wrong with that price for such a cute dress. You can find this dress at: http://www.amiclubwear.com/prom-dress.html. This store has more than just dresses too!

Looking For Your Own Ecommerce Store?
I have always wanted my own online store where I could sell products to the online world. About 6 or 7 years ago, I did add some handmade bath and body products to one of my old sites and got some sales from that. When I stopped making those handmade products, I ended up removing them from the site. Right now, I currently do not have any ecommerce sites that sell actual products, just advertising.

If you are looking for an ecommerce solution, but don't have any ideas where to start, you might want to check out 3xp Web Solutions. They create an ecommerce website for you. You start with picking the template and features of the site. You then select the products you want to sell. I guess there is over 1 million different products to choose from. You then promote the website to get visitors to come and purchase. You make money and the products are sent for you. This is what I refer to drop shipping. You sell the product, but someone else is shipping it out for you. This type of service is what I like. I don't like the packaging shipping stuff, that takes too much time for me.

This is just one idea on how you can start your own online business!

My Family Needs A Vacation
My family is in need of a vacation very soon. I am not sure that it will happen, but one can dream can't they? One place I want to take my family is to Disney's Blizzard Beach during the summertime. Have you heard of this place? It is one of the 2 Disney Waterparks in the Walt Disney World Resort. It has one of the world's tallest and fastest free falling water slides as well as lots of other fun activities. I guess there was some freak snow storm in Florida at one time and they built a ski resort which quickly turned into a water park when it became hot. When you are there, you can actually ride up on a chair lift to access those high water attractions that they have. I think that is so cool! They also have a special section just for little kids called Tike's Peak. They have to be at least 48 inches tall and includes a wading pool, snow castle fountain and pop up water jets. I think my daughter Hannah would really get a kick out of Tike's Peak. I am more for the big and scary waterslides that you have to take a chair lift to. I am the one in my family for the thrill rides!

If this is somewhere that you want to take your family check out the orlandofuntickets.com website for deals on your vacation package. It is always best to do your research first to make sure you get the best deal you can get. This is just one of the fun attractions to visit. Don't forget about Disney World and Sea World. There are lots of fun things you can do in Florida and I hope to be able to take a visit there soon!

Natural Mat Review
If you have a baby, you probably already know that babies sleep 2/3 of the their time. It is important that they are sleeping on something safe and comfortable. Babies are very sensitive to temperature and need a ventilated mattress so that they can regulate their temperature. How about having them sleep on something that is natural and organic too?

I recently received a sample from Natural Mat to review. I received a sample of their Latex Mat and I sure wish I had a bed for myself that feels as comfortable as this sample does. Not only does it feel very soft and cushy, it is also hypo-allergenic and dust-mite FREE. The latex that is inside this mat is completely natural and is tapped straight from the rubber tree. The latex forms a springy core which makes a very nice core for this mat. It is actually sandwiched between layers of organic coir for some extra support. The mat is then wrapped in their unique lambswool which is bathed in a mixture of extracts of lavender, lemon and eucalyptus. Talk about luxury for your baby.

Natural Mat also offers two other types of organic mats. Those would be their Coco Mat and The Mohair Mat. The Coco Mat has the organic coir and lambswool tufting like the Latex Mat without the latex. Then The Mohair Mat has the organic coir, horsetail coir and Mohair tufting. All three of these mats are naturally retardant to fire and pass all fire regulations. They are also all handmade in Devonshire, London from the finest raw materials in the world.

If you would like to purchase one of these Natural Mats, my readers can receive a 10% discount at Goores.com using the code: menm

Munchie Mug Review and Giveaway

Have you ever gave your toddler a cup of snacks and they just dump in on the floor? I have a 15 month old son and he loves to make a mess with his snacks. Sometimes I think he just loves watching mommy pick up his mess. When I received a Munchie Mug Snack Cup to review, I thought that this was one of the best inventions for my little guy yet!

The Munchie Mug is a spill resistant mug for children 10 months and older that helps eliminate messes. The mug is available in yellow, pink and blue. This mug I received has got some great use. When we are not at home and my son is wanting a snack, I simply give him the mug and allow him to feed himself. I was recently at a carseat class at my daughter's preschool and my son was starting to get fussy in his stroller. Luckily I had his Munchie Mug because it helped entertain him while allowing him to snack at the same time.

The Munchie Mug is 100% made in America. It comes with a 16 oz plastic container that holds 10 oz of dry food. This is great for snacks like Cheerios Kix, etc! It is something that is very easy to use too! You simply unscrew the lid and put in your snack. It has a lid that screws on the top that has a cloth opening. When your child uses it, they put their entire hand through the opening of the cloth and grab a snack. Then they pull their hand out. It is as easy at 1, 2, 3......

Guess What? Witty Works Inc. is offering one of my lucky readers a Munchie Mug of their own.

How To Win! - Please leave individual comments for each of the following below. Be sure to also leave your email address so I can contact you if you are the winner. Remember to follow the first rule or all the others will not count.

Are You Pregnant With Questions?
Even though I have been pregnant 3 different times, I always had questions with each pregnancy. My first pregnancy I did a ton of reading to learn about being pregnant and having my first child. I made sure I didn't eat anything I was not supposed to. I made sure which medications were safe during my pregnancy. I wanted to know everything there was to know. I remember wanting to know if there was a special way I was supposed to sleep so I didn't lay on my baby. When I found out with my first pregnancy that I was going to have to have a C-section, I was scared and wanted to find out information about the procedure. I had so many questions about what recovery what was going to be like. I wanted to know most of all, if I was going to have huge ugly scars.

Then when it came to be being pregnant the second time around, I had almost all those same questions again. I kind of forgot what I head learned the first time around. I was pregnant my first time in 1996 and I did not get pregnant again until 2003 to 2004. When I got pregnant in 2007 with my son, I did not have so many questions. I did look of things online though as I was pregnant to refresh my memory.

If you are currently pregnant or looking to become, I have a site bookmarked that you might be interested in. The site is called Parents Connect and has a ton of information about being pregnant, raising children, etc.
