Questions During Pregnancy
Even though I have been pregnant 3 different times, I always had questions with each pregnancy. My first pregnancy I did a ton of reading to learn about being pregnant and having my first child. I made sure I didn't eat anything I was not supposed to. I made sure which medications were safe during my pregnancy. I wanted to know everything there was to know. I remember wanting to know if there was a special way I was supposed to sleep so I didn't lay on my baby. When I found out with my first pregnancy that I was going to have to have a C-section, I was scared and wanted to find out information about the procedure. I had so many questions about what recovery what was going to be like. I wanted to know most of all, if I was going to have huge ugly scars.

Then when it came to be being pregnant the second time around, I had almost all those same questions again. I kind of forgot what I head learned the first time around. I was pregnant my first time in 1996 and I did not get pregnant again until 2003 to 2004. When I got pregnant in 2007 with my son, I did not have so many questions. I did look of things online though as I was pregnant to refresh my memory.

For those of you that are pregnant or trying to conceive, there is a great site for you to bookmark. The is Pregnancy Health Guru that has a ton of information about being pregnant. I wish this site had been around my first time being pregnant. This site can really help answer some of the questions that you might be asking yourself!

Credit Card Nightmare
I just have to vent. Last month I accidentally sent my mortgage payment to my credit card company Capital One in error. The night that it came out of my bank account, I called Capital One to let them know I had made an error. The lady that I spoke with told me that she would just refund my payment electronically and wait 5 business days. So I wait the 5 business days and no refund comes into my account. I then called and asked them where my refund was at. The person I spoke with told me that they could not verify my bank account since I had never mailed them a paper check. They told me to call my bank and have the payment reversed. So stupid me calls the bank and basically gets laughed at. They say they don't have the ability to reverse this electronic payment. So I called Capital One back who then suggests I take the money out on a cash advance on the card so I can pay back even more interest. I tell them this is not acceptable. On this day the end result was them telling me they would cut a check for my payment and to wait 5 to 10 business days for the check to leave. Then allow 5 to 10 days for mailing.

Okay, I waited 3 weeks and nothing. I call Capital One again and they said there was an error and my refund request was not processed. I begged them to rush a check to me as this was my mortgage payment. They tell me I have to wait because they get requests like this all the time. I am like, oh yeah, everyone accidentally sends you their mortgage payment. I was then told to wait another 5 to 10 business days for the check to leave their office and 5 to 10 days for mailing. After I got off the phone, I filed a dispute with the BBB. Their company has over 8,000 complaints with 441 of them being about refunds.

So I called today. Looks like a refund was processed, but just for the overage. I told them numerous times this was a payment made in error and I wanted the full payment back. I told them not to pay off the account with the payment, BUT THEY DID. So I asked to speak to a manager who then again suggests I just take a cash advance off my credit card and keep the overage refund that is coming. For one, I cut up the credit card over a year ago and two, I am not paying the higher interest rate.

So the end result was them telling me to wait 10 days for the check to be cut and then wait to receive it. I am so upset!

Just Joined Plurk

I am a member of many different social networks. I love networking and meeting new people online with some of my same interests. This morning I got in invitation to join Plurk. I actually had never even heard of this one.

I decided to join and see what it was all about. Plurk seems similar to Twitter. You enter a Plurk which is whatever you are currently doing. What is cool is you can integrate this network with Twitter and Facebook. I have not figured it all out yet, but it looks kind of cool!

Organize With Sandy Review
I have a purse and tote bag fetish. If I see a purse at a store that I like, most of the time I will buy it if the price is right. I also like to change my purses almost weekly. I figure if I change my purses often, I have a better chance of them looking new longer.

I received a Pouchee from Organize With Sandy. This thing is super cool! It is a purse organizer that I can use in all my purses and makes changing my purses a snap. The Pouchee has a place for your cell phone, credit cards, keys, lipstick, checkbook, money, sunglasses and whatever else you carry in your wallet.

Here are a few more details from the website about the Pouchee:

  • Six credit card pockets
  • Four other pockets on the outside that are great for your cell phone, glasses, pager etc
  • Inside contains a zippered pocket for money, loose change or anything else you may want to stay hidden
  • Two small interior pouches for lipsticks or more pens
  • Divided middle with 2 roomy sides that can fit your checkbook, wallet or PDA
  • Expands to 4" wide
You can either purchase a cotton Pouchee that comes in 12 different colors or a Leatherette Pouchee that comes in 8 different colors. I received their teal blue one and LOVE it. Not only does Organize With Sandy have the purse Pouchee, they also have a Pouchee Car Caddie too! It is now time to get a little more organized.

To purchase one of these Pouchees, please visit: http://organizewithsandy.com

Got An Old Classic Car?
My husband loves buying old cars. We actually both have a love for cars. Buying them and fixing them up can make a great profit too! One of my favorite cars that we have owned was a 1929 Model A. We had Mommy Enterprises painted on each of the doors. You can see it here pictured in this post. This car got a TON of attention from everyone.

Did you know they offer classic car insurance for the nice older vehicles. This might be something that many don't know is available. When we got the car, my first thought was to add liability insurance to it on my current auto insurance. But if it was to be in an accident or stolen, it would not really have any coverage.

I know know about collector's insurance and will be looking for it when we get our next vehicle I want to keep covered.

Painted Laydies Mineral Makeup Review
I am a mom who enjoys wearing makeup. On most days you will find me wearing some powder on my face, mascara, lipstick, eyeshadow and maybe a little eyeliner. I have tried mineral makeup in the past and was very excited to receive a couple products from Painted Laydies Mineral Makeup.

Why do I like mineral makeup? Well using it will not clog pores and it is water resistant. It contains zinc content which helps to calm and soothe irritated skin. Those that live in humid environments could benefit from this using mineral makeup. It can make your skin breathe more air and assist the body in providing extra skin growth.

The first product I tried from Painted Laydies was their original formula foundation. Since my skin is pretty pale during the winter, I received their jar of the Light#1 foundation. With this stuff, you only have to use a little bit and it goes a long way. Once it is applied, I can't even tell I have it on. I really like feeling as though I have no makeup on. They have a variety of shades depending on your skin color. You can purchase this foundation in a 10 or 20 gram jar with refills available.

The second product I tried was their eye powder. I like wearing browns and neutrals and asked for their Iced Cappuccino color. Again, you only have to use a little bit on your eyes. With makeup, it is hard to tell what it is going to look like once you have it on. I was really impressed on how the color came out on my eyes. I LOVE it! It adds a little bit of shimmer to my eyelids. You can also try using this as a highlighter on your cheeks in the summertime! This product comes in 10 grams by volume which equals 1 tsp.

Now these are just two of their fabulous products. They also carry blush & bronzers, lip products, cleansers, moisturizers and more! You can view all their products by visiting their website at: http://paintedlaydies.com

Painted Laydies is offering you a surprise with any purchase. Use the coupon code: Beauty101 when checking out!

Sell Your Used Textbooks
I came across a website about a week ago that I thought was really cool. This site buys used text books that you no longer need anymore. If you have any college textbooks that you no longer use, you can go to this site and enter the ISBN number. It will then give you a quote on how much they will give you. This quote lasts for 7 days and they even pay for shipping of the book.

If you have quite a few extra textbooks, this might be a great way to earn some extra cash. They will either mail you a check or do a direct deposit of your money in your bank account.

Want To Go To Ski Camp?
Do you like the snow? Did you know there is such a thing as ski camp? I always think of camp as somewhere outdoors when it is warm. In Oregon, they have the National Alpine Ski Camp. When you go to this camp, you are offered all sorts of amenities. Besides having some awesome skiing coaches to teach you how to skii, they have a 27-hole golf course, four tennis courts, two regulation croquet and lawn bowling courts, outdoor heated swimming pools, a whirlpool spa, sauna, volleyball court, badminton court, fitness center, nature hikes along the Salmon river and more. Sounds like a bunch of fun for the family huh?

One great thing they offer is summer camps. Their summer camps are 7 or 10 days depending on the program you choose. Each day you will participate in several aspects of ski training. Sounds like fun to me!

The Body Bakery Review
If you love bath and body products that smell good enough to eat, you are going to LOVE this company I am about to talk about. I received a few products to review from The Body Bakery that I absolutely love to use.

The first product that I tried was their Whipped Cream with Aloe. Don't worry ladies, this stuff has NO Calories! This is a jar of pure pleasure for the lotion lovers. The scent I received was Sparkling Fruit Punch. Indeed, it does smell like yummy fruit punch. It is a lightweight cream that does not leave no greasy residue after applying. I have been carrying this around in my purse and making my friends smell it. My daughters even enjoyed trying this stuff out too! This Whipped Cream comes in 3 different sizes and about 100+ scents.

The next product I tried was their Candy Kisses Lip Polish. If you want to spoil your lips, this is the treatment. This is a hand blended polish for your lips that buffs away dry and flaky skin. You put a little bit of this on your lips and use a circular motion for 30 seconds. You then wipe the excess of with a tissue. Honestly, it is hard not to lick your lips after using this stuff. It leaves your lips smooth and sweet tasting. This comes in only 1 size and 10 different flavors. I received the Brown Sugar Kiss flavor. I can't wait to try the other flavors soon.

The last product that I tried was their Brown Sugar Body Scrub. When I take a shower, one of my favorite products to use is sugar scrubs. Their Brown Sugar Body Scrub ROCKS. I received the Lemon Chiffon scent and it totally smells like a jar of my local bakery. It was hard to believe that is was for my body and not my mouth. It even has a little spoon inside to serve your body with. What I love about these types of scrubs is they leave your skin so smooth and soft. If you have never tried a sugar scrub, I definitely recommend this one. It comes in one size and about 100+ scents. It probably is going to be hard to pick which scent you want.

The Body Bakery has quite a few more products that I would love to try and use! These are just 3 of their fabulous products. I honestly love the three products that I tried and bet all the rest of their products are awesome too!

Check Your Credit Yearly
For those that don't know, I worked at a collection agency for over 8 years. I worked in the legal department and learned quite a few things while I was there. I learned many of the laws that go with collections as well as how to fix credit.

One of the most important thing I learned is to always check your credit report for errors. I would suggest pulling your credit report at least 1 to 2 times a year. Some people don't ever pull theirs and will never know if they have something on their report that should not be there. Credit repair can be easy for those of you that have stuff on your report that can be deleted.

A negative rating can only stay on your credit report for 7 years. You will need to pull your credit report to make sure that your creditors are not reporting old stuff that is past the statue of limitations. You cannot imagine how many times people will have stuff on there that is older than 7 years and the creditor did not remote it. Finding these old things and filing a dispute will help repair credit reports. You can file a dispute online with the credit bureau. They then will contact the creditor and the creditor has 30 days to respond to the dispute. They can either remove it or explain why it should still be there. If they don't respond, it automatically gets disputed.

Hope that helps some of you!

Pom Wonderful Review
Ever ate pomegranates as a child? My Nana used to have a tree in her yard and I would love to make a mess with them. I remember my Nana always telling me that that fruit was going to stain my clothes but that did not stop me from eating them.

Recently I had the opportunity to try some of the Pom Wonderful juice. This was the first time I had any type of pomegranate juice. Now I have had tried pomegranate flavored tea, but this stuff is different. Not only does it taste REALLY GOOD, it also has health benefits too!

The Pom Wonderful juice has high levels of naturally occurring polyphenol antioxidants. This juice helps guard your body against free radicals that are linked to disease. I wish I could drink this stuff every day. This juice is the only pomegranate juice backed by medical research. It is actually backed by $25 million in medical research. You can read more about it's health benefits by visiting: http://www.pomwonderful.com/health_benefits.html

Interested in trying some of this for yourself, visit their store locator on their website at: http://www.pomwonderful.com

Ever Wanted To Own A Vending Machine?
When I was young and wanting to become an entrepreneur I wanted to start a vending machine business. I had seen ads in magazines for different machines and that is what I wanted to do. When I would go places with my mom and see Vending Machines, I would think of how I could make money with them.

There are some pretty cool vending machines that are available now. They have one that is refreshment center that is a snack vending machine, a soda vending machine, a water and sports drink vending machine and energy product vending machine all in one. Pretty cool huh? This might be the route to go for those interested in the vending business.

Since I have all my websites and blog, I don't think I would have time for one of these. I did think of owning one for years though!

Are You Involved In Stocks?
I have never messed around with stocks and bonds besides the ones that were involved in my past 401k funds. I have some friends that are buying stocks right now because of the low prices of shares that are available. If I had some extra money, I might want to invest some money in some stocks too!

If you want to do online trading, with Firstrade you can transfer for free. Dealing with an online broker might be an easy way to setup an account and start stock trading. What is cool is their program where you can earn $50 for referring a friend. This might be a way to make some extra money too! You can receive 100 free trades, $100 cash back, $100 transfer rebate and more. Check out the site for more details because I am not an expert when it comes to this stuff.

EO Review
Are you a bath & body diva like me? I have to have a bottle of lotion at my desk at all times. I always have a bottle in my purse as well. I love using lotion all day while I am working to keep my hands soft and moisturized. I forgot to mention the lotion must smell good too! Being a mom, I have to pamper myself when I can.

Recently, I was sent some EO products to review. If you have never heard of EO, they are a family owned and operated manufacturer of certified organic personal care products. Their ingredients are natural, gentle and free from any animal testing. I am really enjoying the products they sent me. This will be my first review for this company with another review yet to come.

One my desk right now is a bottle of their "Everyday Body Lotion". One of my favorite things about this lotion is the scent. I got their grapefruit and mint scent which is awesome. This lotion comes in 8 different scents and I can't wait to try some of the other ones. This lotion is a great moisturizer that applies very easily and is quickly absorbed into the skin. I love that it does not leave a greasy residue as some lotions will do. Another great feature for me is that it comes in a pump. This works perfect for my desk. I give the lotion bottle a little pump pump throughout my work day which makes happy hands!

I have also been using one of their Handmade Soap Nourishing Bars. I received the Rose & Chamomile with Shea Butter scent. I just love handmade soap bars. I have been a fan of handmade soaps for years now. I am going to have to order more of these when I use this one. The scent of this soap is fantastic. It makes a great lather that is great for even washing my face with. It leaves my skin smooth and moisturized and has benefits for all skin types. What I like is that each bar is handmade and you can see the natural ingredients when using the soap. They have a video you can watch on how their soaps are made which I enjoyed watching. I can't wait to try their Oatmeal and honey soap bar.

Another product I would like to mention that I have been using is their Hand Sanitizer. With having 4 kids, I am always worry about catching and passing on germs. We have had a cold this past week and this has came in handy for when we cough or sneeze on our hands. I received their Lavender Essential Oil hand sanitizer. It also comes in lemon and unscented. I like the scent but my be too strong for little children. My children were okay with the scent though. This comes in a 2oz bottle which is handy for my purse or diaper bag.

If you love organic bath & body products, you really need to check out the EO products. I have another review coming with some more great products by this company. You can view their products by visiting their website at: www.eoproducts.com

Neat Shopping Website

So I am sure you know by now that I love shopping online. It is so much more convenient than going to the mall and searching for what I want. With being able to shop online, I can find exactly what I want and find the lowest price.

I found a cool site to help me with my shopping needs. There is a site called ShopWiki that crawls the internet like Google and will find products you are looking for. So say I am looking for a new blender to make smoothies. When I search for blender on this site, I find a variety of results from a variety of different stores. What is also neat is the ability to narrow down your search. You can narrow it down by price, color or brand.

I was messing around and searched for cherry wood dining table. Now this is something I wish I could afford right now. I have always wanted one of these. I actually got some pretty affordable results back. I wanted to see if I was on sale somewhere, but only found Gwen Stefani stuff. This is a great way to search for products you might need like pots and pans, new coffee pot, steamer, toaster, wine glasses, silverware, etc.

I have bookmarked this site for future use!

What Is A Driver?
For those of you that don't know much about computers, drivers are very important files for your computer. Every device on your computer needs a driver to tell it how to operate. A driver acts like a translator between the device and programs that use the device. Each device on your computer has its own set of specialized commands that only the driver for it knows.

Let's say that you reformat your computer. Chances are you are going to have to find some drivers for things that you installed after you purchased your computer such as a mouse or keyboard. In a lot of situations, your computer will be able to find a driver for you through your operating system disk or online. If it is unable to locate a driver, you will have to find one for it.

That is where websites come in that have drivers to download. For instance, if you have a Lexmark printer and need a driver, you would search for Lexmark drivers. Or if you have a Logitech mouse, you can search for Logitech drivers.

I have been pretty lucky finding any driver I have ever needed online. The joy of the internet!

Jack And Lily Review
I am having so much fun finding unique clothes and shoes for my son. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed finding things for my daughters, but having a boy gives me a whole new world of stuff to buy. My son just turned 1 this past January and I have to admit, it is hard finding him shoes that fit. He has the cutest little fat feet that don't want to fit in shoes. My husband bought him a very expensive pair of shoes this past Christmas and I had the hardest time getting his feet in. He ended up only wearing them a few times.

I recently received a pair of shoes for my son from Jack and Lily. Now these shoes are one of the cutest pairs of shoes he has owned yet. If you take a peek at their store, you would have a hard time just picking one pair for your son or daughter. The pair I received was their Black Skull shoes. These are so darn cute on my son. They would probably look good on little girls too!

What I like best about these shoes is that they actually fit him. I can put these shoes on his feet with no problems. Score! They also have a soft-sole that can be worn both indoors and outdoors. Don't let me forget to mention the genuine suede lining. Shoes with soft soles allow your child's feet to flex naturally. This helps develop their strength and balance. This is something my son needs since he prefers to walk on his tippy toes.

Jack And Lily shoes are the shoes for any occasion. They have so many different cute pairs of shoes for little boys and girls. Take a peek at just a few of their cute shoes for girls.

Are You Pregnant?
I have been pregnant 3 times and finding clothes that I liked was always a task. I remember when I was first pregnant for the first time in 1997, there was not too many cute maternity clothes that I really liked. Then when I was pregnant with my second daughter, the was more of a selection. There is a cool maternity store online that you might want to check out if you are pregnant. This store is called Kiki's Fashions and they have some really cute stuff. They have great prices too! They have a section with maternity tops for under $10.

If you find something you like, be sure to use the code "blogfriends" when you are checking out to receive 20% off your purchase.

Surveys For Cash & Prizes
I compiled a list of some of the popular survey sites today on Mommy Enterprises. I thought I would blog with the links I found today, but recommend bookmarking the section I created on the site because I will keep that updated.

Surveys are a great way to make some extra cash to help out with the bills or maybe earn some extra spending money. Now the survey companies all work different. Help For Women
If you watch reality tv shows, you know that the celebrities have problems just like us normal people. I am a reality show junkie and one of the shows that I watch is Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. There are many people out there (including the celebrities) with addictions that need help. If you have an addiction, don't be embarrassed because your not alone. Some people are addicted to alcohol, drugs, gambling, food and whatever else they find addicting.

The hardest part with addiction is admitting that you have a problem. Many people will stay in denial and never admit that there really is a problem. For those that want help, there are a ton of different resources such as alcohol rehab that can help you with your problems. If you have a substance abuse problem, there are places like "The Orchid" that can help you overcome your problem. The Orchid is a residential alcohol rehab center for women.

If you know someone with an addiction that wants help, be there to support them!

Domains For Sale
A few years ago I bought a ton of domains. I am one of those moms that can't just have one project, but have many under my plate. I have decided to get rid of some domains that I just don't have time for and probably won't have time for.

My first domain is www.BusinessMamas.com. I bought this domain in 2006 and had a site with it. I wanted to reduce my hosting package so right now the domain is just parked. I am asking only $20 for this 3 year old domain. (Domain expires 10/24/09 through Godaddy).

The second domain is www.GPTMoms.com. I bought this domain in 2007. I had a forum/site with this one and also took this one down so it is parked. I am asking only $10.00 for this 2 year old domain. (Domain expires 04/24/09 through Godaddy).

The third domain I have is www.ProofReaderJob.com. I bought this one in 2006 to forward to an affiliate program I was promoting. I am asking $10 for this one. (Domain expires 03/22/09 through Godaddy).

The fourth domain is www.Reprint-Article-Directory.com. I bought this domain in 2005 and had an article directory on the site. There was some sort of bug in the script so I took the site down. I am asking $20 for this domain. (Domain expires 10/27/09 through Godaddy).

The fifth domain is www.WAHMClipart.info. I bought this domain in 2007 and had started to create a site with clipart for wahms. I am asking only $10 for this domain. (Domain expires 05/28/09 through Godaddy).

If you are interested in any of these domains, send me an email at advertising@mommyenterprises.com

I can transfer them through Godaddy the same day you purchase!!

Meet Other Moms
A great way to meet moms and find friends for your children is through mommy playgroups and meetups. You would be surprised just how many different playgroups there are for moms who want to get out of the house.

This morning I decided to create a section on Mommy Enterprises to help moms locate these types of groups. View our "Mommy Meetups" section for more details. I found quite a few different types of groups when searching that are local to me. I am thinking of attending one too!

Fun Kitchen Hints

These are some cool tips for those of you moms in the kitchen!

  • When making pancakes, use a meat baster to squeeze the batter onto the griddle.
  • Stuff a miniature marshmallow in a sugar cone to prevent ice cream leaks.
  • When boiling corn on the cob, add a pinch of sugar to bring out a natural sweet taste.
  • Brown sugar will be more soft if you keep it in the freezer.
  • Cottage cheese will stay more fresh if you store it upside down in the refrigerator.
  • Use potatoes to take food stains off your fingers. Use raw potato on the stains and rinse.
  • To remove burned food spots in your cast iron skillets, boil vinegar and salt in the skillet.
  • To prevent cake from sticking to the pan, put the cake on a wet towel to cool when you take it out of the oven.

Hanks Clothing Online
I was taking a peek at the online store Hanks Clothing tonight to see what they had to offer. They have been in business since 1949 and this was the first I have heard of them. I love shopping online, so finding stores like this is fun to me. What I seen they have that you might be interested is Muck Boots for women. These are pretty popular among the moms who love to garden. They have some really cool purple ones I would like to have.

They also have jackets, jeans, t-shirts, belts, gloves and more! Oh, don't forget they have bag balm too!

Moms Do It Yourself
I am one of those moms who always has the desire to fix something myself when things go wrong at my house. It is not fun waiting for the husband to get around to fixing something on his own time. Did you know that Home Depot offers workshops? I actually participated in one with my 4 year old daughter Hannah. She built a little hat rack for her dad and loved it.

If you want to learn how to work on your house for yourself, check out the workshops at Home Depot!

Let Them Sell It On Ebay For You
I have been thinking lately of putting some stuff on Ebay that I really don't need anymore. I currently will put auctions on Ebay here and there for advertising but nothing that I have to ship. One of the reasons I am hesitant to put things on Ebay is I don't like having to package things up and take them to the post office. Call me lazy, I don't care (haha). Anyhow, the biggest dilema for me is figuring out how much to put for the shipping costs when I don't know how much the item weighs.

There is a place called isold it that will sell your items for you. What you do is stop by one of their locations and one of their staff members will do some quick online research to help you figure out what the value of your item is. They will get the key points for your auction you want listed. Once the item is listed on Ebay they will send you an email with the link. After they collect payment, they will send you a check with your proceeds of the auction. The commission and fees is based different and will vary depending on which store you drop your items off at.

Sounds like a great idea huh? This is a good way for those of you that need extra money due to the economy or not being able to find a job right now.

What Is Better Direct TV Or Cable?
I have been a cable customer for years. I have always wondered what the difference between cable and Direct TV is so I went online to search for the difference. The biggest difference I see is that Direct TV offers more channels for what I pay for my current cable bill. They have some pretty good Direct TV deals that look appealing to me. Right now I have quite a few channels, but not the movie channels that I wish I had.

While I think I could get a ton more channels by signing up for one of the Direct TV offers, I know it would be a huge hassle for me to switch. Currently I have my phone, internet and cable all through the same company. The Direct TV specials are pretty tempting though. How I would love to have access to HBO, Showtime, etc.

AbbyRoo Review
So for those of you that don't know, I am a purse and tote bag junkie. If I find a purse I like, I just have to have it. I like to have a variety and switch the purse/tote I am using throughout the week. I received a maroon colored AbbyRoo for review and I am totally impressed with how many pockets this bag has. The AbbyRoo is a canvas/cotton bag that you can use for just about anything. This bag would be great for a diaper bag, gym bag, sewing or craft bag, purse, travel bag, etc.

The AbbyRoo bag uses the simple logic of a kangaroo's pouch. You can comfortably conceal and organize 8 different sized pockets in this big large tote bag. The pockets inside are white mesh so you can see through them to see what is inside of each pocket. You then have zippers on the outside on each side to open the bag to reveal your contents.

Here are some of the features of the AbbyRoo:
  • cotton/canvas fabric
  • roomy 17" x 15" tote
  • large back pocket
  • two 5" x 4" mesh zippered pockets
  • two 5" x 6" mesh zippered pockets
  • two 7" x 10" mesh zippered pockets
  • two 16" x 6" mesh side pockets
Moms, this would really make an ideal diaper bag with all of the pockets in the inside. If you are in need of a new diaper bag, maybe this is the bag for you. You can get the AbbyRoo in black, white, maroon and brown. They even have a black AbbyRoo with the words "Cheer" printed on it for those of you cheerleaders.

You can buy an AbbyRoo by visiting: http://www.abbyroo.com

Eve Organics Review And Giveaway
The bath and body diva is here with a review on yet another bath and body product I really love. One of my favorite things to put on is lotion. What is even better is lotion in the form of whipped creme. I was so excited when I received a jar of Harmony relaxing whipped creme from Eve Organics. I immediately had to open the jar and try some.

I received the Take Me Away creme. This whipped creme has a very relaxing scent to it (Chamomile and Lavender). After I take a shower before I bed, I use this on my arms, legs, hands and feet and enjoy the scent. It leaves my skin soft and silky. This creme also comes in two other scents which are Power Surge Energizing Whipped Creme and Sleepy Time Calming Whipped Creme.

Here are some of the features:
  • Organic Shea Butter
  • Organic Jojoba Oil
  • Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil of Chamomile and Lavender

Your Fingerprint As A Key

Have you ever locked yourself out of your own home? I have done this before and was stuck outside my house for hours waiting for my husband. Did you know they have new keyless lock technology that allows your door to open with your fingerprint? This sounds pretty cool, especially at night when you are holding your son, groceries and trying to dig in your purse for the house key.

The keyless lock might be a great way to allow access to your home for your kids without giving them a house key that they might lose. My daughter just turned 12 in January and I am very hesitant to give her a house key of her own yet. At the school my children attend, they have to keep their backpacks on hooks outside the classroom door. At any time can others have access to their stuff. I don't really like this rule they have, but I don't make the rules.

This may have some disadvantages to those with assets worth lots of money. If I was wealthy and had this type of access, I would honestly be afraid of people taking my finger to get in my house. I don't have anything to worry about right now though.

What are your thoughts on keyless lock?

I just LOVE receiving gift certificates that I can spend at my favorite stores. Today I found out about a website called Shop It To Me from the Money Savin Momma that helps you find awesome deals on your favorite brands. When you join their site, you select the brands you want to find out about along with your sizes you would buy for. They then will update you via email on what stores are having sales that you would be interested in.

What makes Shop It To Me even better is their referral system. You can earn $10 gift cards to StarBucks, Macy's, Gap, Ann Taylor, Nordstrom, Banana Republic and more just by referring your friends to their website. For every 10 friends that you refer, you will receive one of these $10 gift certificates.

Make Some Extra Cash With Twitter
I am one of those moms who are on Twitter every day. Now I don't use it as much as I want, but I am an active user. Currently, I am at almost 1,000 followers. Today I found out about a new site that allows you to earn money with your Twitter feed. You can earn the money for yourself or pick a charity for your earnings to go to. While I am not a greedy person, I probably would choose to keep all of the profit for myself. My family needs as much income as we can bring in right now with the economy the way it is.

This new site I am talking about is adCause and just launched sometime in January 2009. When you join, adCause matches advertisers with publishers (twitter users). The publishers will get paid to show ads in their twitter feed. The more influence that you have on twitter, the more money you will make. So if you have lots of Twitter followers, you might just do well with this program. You have some control of the advertisements too! You tell adCause what to display, how often and for how much. Sounds pretty cool huh?

I joined today as a publisher. I could also choose to advertise if I wanted to advertise one of my sites as well. I will let you know how it works!

P.S. If you want to follow me on Twitter, here is my link: http://twitter.com/mommye

Michael Jackson In Concert

As a kid, many of Michael Jackson's songs were my favorite. I even had a Michael Jackson doll. It was the same size as a Ken doll but a Michael doll with his famous red jacket. You know, I did not even know that Michael Jackson even had concerts anymore until I was browsing online tonight and seen a webpage to buy tickets. The site lists that Michael will have 10 shows ~ July 09 in London. I guess he is also claiming that these will be final 10 shows ever at the famous arena in London. I think it would be pretty cool to go even though I think Michael has become pretty strange this past decade.

You can find out more by visiting: Tickets to Michael Jackson

Cozy Cuts Review
If you are in New York, you should see if there is a Cozy Cuts For Kids near your home. Don't worry about not being a kid, adults can get their hair cut done here too! What is cool about this shop is they offer some cool freebies that I don't see at my hair salon. They offer your a keepsake lock of hair on your child's first haircut. They also offer free balloons, toy from their goody basket, all the bubbles you can blow and lolly pops. Now this sounds like a fun place to take your child for a hair cut!

You can even have a birthday party there. Their birthday parties include hair styling, mini manicures, makeup, temporary tattoos, beauty art projects and more. They have a few different party options you can choose from.

I am in California so I can't visit their salons, but did get to sample some of their shampoo and conditioner for my children. I received their Very Berry Shampoo, Green Apple Swimmers Shampoo and the Sweet Strawberry Conditioner. I also received the cutest little rubber ducky that my son uses when he takes a bath. I first used the shampoo & conditioner I received on my 1 year old son. It left his hair smelling sweet like fruit. I then let my daughter Ariyona use it since she would enjoy using it more than my toddler. What I like most about their products are that they are paraben free.

If you are interested in visiting Cozy Cuts For Kids or their products, you can visit their site at: http://www.cozyscutsforkids.com

Keeping Your Home Cool
When you own your own home, it is fun to buy things to customize your house. When I first bought my house, one of the first things we did was replace and install new ceiling fans. My ceiling fan in the living room is my favorite because it has a remote control. I hope sometime in the future to be able to install a ceiling fan in each of the bedrooms.

If you are looking to install or replace new ceiling fans in your home, check out the selection at Farrey's. They have a search tool that will help you find the perfect fan that you are looking for. I like their "Monte Carlo ceiling fans". I have one pictured in this post!

An Easy Way to Make Money With a Website
When people think of ways to make money with websites, one thing they might not think of is offering ad space on their site for a price. This is something I figured out at the beginning of my building websites. I had seen other webmasters offering ad space so I thought I could copy their idea and see what would happen.

When selling advertising, you have to have a website that has traffic coming to it. People are not going to want to advertise on a website that nobody sees. I did not start selling advertising space to my visitors until my site was at least 6 months old and I was getting traffic from search engines and other sites I had done link exchanges with. If you have a new site, be sure to have a steady flow of visitors coming before you add advertising to your site. Your customers might get upset if they purchase an ad from you and get no results.

You might be asking what you would charge for advertising. Some sites will price their advertising depending on how much traffic is coming into their websites. Some sites will increase their prices as their traffic increases. I have found it to be successful to charge extremely low prices for advertising. I may be able to charge more on some of my sites, but I will probably get less advertising purchases doing so. Keeping low costs will increase your odds of your customers renewing their ad once the ad expires.

There are different types of advertising you can offer on your website. Some of the most popular types of advertising are text ads and image ads. People like adding text links to create backlinks to their website. There are also button and banner size image ads that seem to be popular too.

If you are interested in adding advertising to your website, look around on other websites in your niche to see what they are doing. If they have advertisers on their website, there is a good chance you could offer the same type of service.

Advantages Of The Hybrid Cars
Last year I rented a hybrid car. I did not rent it by choice, it just happened to be what they had available for me. I had heard of these cars and had been wanting to drive one to see what was so special about them. Ever since I rented that darn car, I wondered what the advantages of owning one was so I did a little research. It seemed almost the same as driving a regular car to me except one major difference.

One of the main advantages of he hybrid cars are they can save you money by saving on your gas expenses. With their electric motors, they can save up to 30 miles per gallon. One of the ways it saves gas is that the car will shut off when it stops. Then when you start to excel again, the motor will start back up. This process alone will save gas when driving! When I first started driving the Toyota Prius I rented, I thought the car broke down when I had stopped because I had no idea they did that. This was the main difference I mentioned above.

Another advantage of the hybrids is that they emit lower toxic emissions compared to a normal gasoline powered car. They cause less pollution and release less carbon dioxide into our atmosphere. This means that they are more eco-friendly.

While I would love to own one of these cars to be more eco-friendly, I would rather drive something more fashionable like a Dodge Charger. Right now I own a SUV that is a gas hog but I love it!

What are your thoughts of the hybrids?

Yes I Am Proud
I am very thankful that I was born an American here in good ole Northern California. While I am not too familiar with the many different cultures and lifestyles of most of the other countries, I am very proud to be American and be the person I am today. If you were to drive past my house, we hang a huge 50 star united states flag in the front of our house. We hang it with pride.

As I watch or listen to the news at times on my television set or radio, I hear about all the horror stories of things that go on in other places like Iraq, Afghanistan, Baghdad, etc. Seeing and hearing these news stories makes me have gratitude that I was lucky enough to be born here in the United States and have the luxuries that I have. While I am not rich by any means at all, I still have more than some people less fortunate than me. If at any time I start to feel sorry for myself and think that my life sucks, I will think about how life could be worse and I don't really have it so bad.

Kimochis Review

I love finding toys that are unique and something that the child next door does not have. When I seen the Kimochis website, I knew my daughter Hannah just had to have one.

The Kimochis are stuffed toy characters that have feelings inside. Kimochi pronounced (key-mo-chee) means "feeling" in Japanese. Beings Hannah is almost 5 and has all types of emotions going through her little mind each and every day, this is perfect for her. When I say they have feelings inside, the toy comes with these little circles that you stuff inside of the character with different emotions on them to show different feelings. Some of these emotions say: Happy, Sad, Brave, Sorry, Loved, Shy, Scared and so on. These are a great communication tool for parents and children to express their feelings.

My daughter Hannah received the Huggtopus Kimochi. Her big sister Ariyona who is 12 showed her all the different emotions and how to use it. I think Ariyona might have wanted one for herself too! Now Hannah has been playing with her Kimochi with her two sisters and just loves it. I hope she continues to use this toy to let us know how she is feeling when she doesn't want to express herself with words. When she is done with it, I will let her pass it down to my son to use too!

You can read more about the Kimochis or purchase on for your child at: http://www.kimochis.com

I have added their video below so you can see exactly how a Kimochi works:

Dress Your Kids In Style Moms
One thing we love to buy for our family is designer clothing and shoes. I remember when I was a child, my mom would do the best she could do at buying me clothes that were name brand. When you are a kid, how you dress can have a impression on how the other kids at school might be towards you. I went to school with "rich kids", so my knew not to send me to school in generic shoes that would get me made fun of. Now this may not be the case for everyone, but I make sure my kids don't have any reasons to get picked on.

If you love to buy designer clothing for your children, check out the selection of clothing at R&S Avenue. They have a huge variety of designer clothes that are totally fashionable and trendy. I love Ed Hardy clothes and now found that they made a line of Ed Hardy clothes for kids. That is so cool.

Have you heard of the designer "my vintage baby"? Now they have some cute stuff for girls. I have their Ra Ra Polka Dot Tutu Skirt pictured here. This is so cute for that old rock and roll look that some parents like to have. I think this skirt would look cute with a black shirt and some black dress shoes.

You seriously need to check out their clothing. They have some really cute stuff that your children would really love to wear. You might want to get a favorite grandchild, niece or nephew a cool gift too! You can take a peek at their site by visiting: http://www.rsavenue.com

Noodle & Boo Review
Do your children ever get bed head? My kids love to take a shower at night before they go to bed. When they wake up, their hair sometimes needs a little help that a brush can't fix. I found a product that helps their bed head. I have actually been using it myself on my hair. Noodle & Boo has a Conditioning Hair Polish that works great!

Not only does this stuff work for my kid's bed head, I use it on my son's hair after he gets out of the bath. He has little curls and this stuff moisturizes his hair and leaves it smooth and smelling good. I use it on Hannah's hair to detangle her hair after her baths too!

Here is some information about the product from their website that you might be interested in:
  • Contains sunflower seed and green tea extracts.
  • Detangles and moisturizes fine hair.
  • Smoothes the hair cuticle to reduce frizz.
  • Natural antioxidants protect hair against environmental stress while leaving hair weightless and shiny.
  • Can be used in-between shampoos to refresh hair.

Been To Los Angeles?
I have been to the awesome city of Los Angeles a few times in my life. I live in California, but it is about an eight hour drive to get there. Did you know that Los Angeles is the second largest city in the United States? A majority of my visits to Los Angeles have been for vacations. I have been to Disneyland twice along with the other themed parks in Southern California. While it is a great city, I don't think I would ever move there.

SafetyTat Review And Giveaway

My daughter Hannah loves temporary tattoos. I guess it does not help that mom and dad have some tattoos, so she wants to follow in our footsteps. She has a bunch of Dora and Fairy tattoos that she loves to have put on. Today was picture day at school and she was begging me to put a tattoo on her. I had to explain to her no tattoos on picture day!

I got some very neat tattoos from SafetyTat that will come in use in case of emergencies. Have you ever lost your child just for a few seconds? I know when we go to the state fair each year, the place is packed with thousands of people. I always worry about my child wondering off and getting lost in the crowds. Well with SafetyTat, your phone number is on a temporary tattoo in case your child gets lost. They have lots of different cute designs too! I received the boy & girl designs which are awesome.

SafetyTat has tattoos that you can purchase that already has your number printed on them. These are comprised of a micro-thin elastomer with FDA approved medical grade adhesive taht is hypoallergenic and safe for the skin. You put your emergency information on the tattoo with the supplied tattoo marking pen that comes with them.

I think this is a great idea to help parents feel more safe when they take their children to places where there are crowds or anywhere they feel there child could get lost. If your child has allergies, they have a line of allergy alert tattoos too!

EarthLust Review

I LOVE water. I am glad that I am one that enjoys drinking a ton of water every day. I have successfully trained my kids to drink lots of water too! It is nice when you child asks for a glass of water instead of something sugary that will give them more energy than they need.

I received a cool stainless steel bottle from Earthlust! This is now my favorite thing to drink water out of. I put in my purified cold tap water in my bottle and I am good to go. This is something I take to the gym with me each day too! Believe it or not but I have got compliments on this thing.

Earthlust offers these bottles in two different sizes. They have a 13oz and a 20oz. I received the 13oz Owl stainless steel bottle that is pictured in this post. They have some other really cool designs that I like too! I like their Butterfly, Palm, Silver Parsley and Poppy bottle designs. They also have 20oz insulated mugs for those of you that prefer a mug instead. Their bottles are a custom design too, not a stock bottle that many other bottles like these are.

Using my Earthlust bottle is helping me live a more eco-friendly lifestyle. I am no longer wasting those plastic bottle bottles anymore!

Dose Keeper Review
This winter has been a pretty rough one for my little ones, especially Hannah. She goes to preschool and ends up catching the colds that the other kids bring in. She has taken her share of cold and cough syrup this year. She ended up passing it to my son who also just recently got over his first ear infection. When children are sick and taking medication, it is important to stay on top of their doses that they take.

I am excited to have a Dose Keeper for my children's medication. The Dose Keeper is a handy little chart system that attaches to the bottle of medication to keep a log of all the doses. This comes especially in handy if you have a babysitter or your child goes somewhere like grandmas and they want to know when the last dose was. They can go off the chart you have been keeping as well as log any medications they give your little one.

Now this is not just for children, but it will be used mainly for my children in my house. It is quite handy and won quite a few awards in 2008. It comes in eight different colors named after medication flavors!

Guess What? This product was invented by a mom! How cool is that?

You can purchase a Dose Keeper for only $4.99 at: http://www.dosekeeper.com

The Creative Individual Review
Got plain walls? I found a neat and creative way to decorate the rooms in my house without painting them. My two daughters Ariyona and Hailey share a room. There room has pink walls. Yes, I painted their rooms pink. The Creative Individual sent me some chocolate brown Poka Dot stickers. You get 45 stickers in a variety of sizes. I was excited to get brown since I knew it was going to work well with the pink walls. It was fun decorating the walls with these stickers too! They come in more than just brown. You can purchase these Poka Dot stickers in orange, sunflower, hot pink, soft pink, purple, robin light blue, teal, groovy green, olive, burgandy, blue, lavendar, black and white. This is an awesome way to liven up a bedroom.

I also got The Creative Individual monkey popups too! I used one of the monkeys in the pink room and the other in my room by my sons crib. He loves laying in his crib and staring at the monkey hanging from the wall. If you don't like monkeys, they have ladybugs, giraffes, lions, snakes and deers. They also have other stickers for boys and girls such as a flower pot, swinging princess, unicorn princess and more.

Here is a great picture from their site of how cute you can make your nursery walls with using the Poka Dots. I just love the blue walls with the chocolate dots! If you use your imagination, you can make your walls very unique! If you don't really care for the dots, you can buy stars, hearts, rings,

Below is a couple photographs of the rooms I put the stickers in:

Like I mentioned before, I really had fun decorating the walls here at home with this fun wall art. My daughters even participated and now they feel as if they are a part of making their rooms look special.

You can purchase these stickers at The Creative Individual by visiting their site at: http://thecreativeindividual.com

The site PolkaDotPatchBoutique has a cute selection of babies clothing for boys and girls. They have clothes that are fun & funky, funky baby clothes and items that are gender neutral. Now they don't just have clothing, they have some other things on there site you are sure to love. I remember when I was young having a sock monkey. Well, if you are looking for one of those, you will find a funky purple handmade sock monkey that is quite unique if I have anything to say.

If you are in need of a new diaper bag, they have some very unique diaper bags too! Having a stylish diaper bag has always been important to me for some reason. I love toting around my baby stuff in a cute and stylish bag. Right now I have an awesome bag that I take almost everywhere.

This store really is awesome. Be sure to check out their Children's Clothes today! You can search by size, season, style and price!

My New Doggy
Don't you hate when your child gets flea bites? I remember getting them bad when I was a child. It seems like the fleas love to bite our little ones the worst. When you have pets such as dogs, be sure to get some flea treatment for dogs. I always make sure I use flea treatments on any cats and dogs I have to prevent fleas in my house. It really does make a difference.

I just got a new puppy yesterday and am already looking for what flea control I can use for him! My new puppy is the one on the left pictured in this post!

Got A Home Business Opportunity To Advertise
I have a free ebook that I published last year titled "A Mom's Guide To Home Business Opportunities, Jobs and Other Ways of Making Money Online". This morning I decided to add a page to the site where my visitors could just view different home business listings. I know that not all of my visitors download the ebook so I have created a section that they could visit if they were still interested in finding ways to make money at home.

I am offering those with home business opportunities the chance to get their business listed for only $5 for 6 months. I will probably increase the price, so if you have a business to advertise, try to purchase your listing now.

A Big Banking Mistake
I accidentally made a huge mistake last month when I was paying my bills. I use the online Billpay system with my bank. Last month when I went in to schedule my mortgage payment, I accidentally sent my mortgage payment to one of my credit card companies. I immediately called them the night the month came out of my account. They assured me everything would be okay and they would simply send the money back electronically to my account. So I waited the 5 business days and nothing. They ended up applying the payment to my balance and was going to refund me the difference. No WAY!

I then had to call and talk to a manager that told me to call my back to have them reverse the payment. I tried doing that with no success. So I called back the credit card company and told them they better send me a check for the full amount. So they agreed but said I was going to have to allow 5-10 days for them to cut a check and 5-10 days for the check to get to me.

What a mess!

Eleven Review And Giveaway
When it comes to having daughters, wearing pink is a pretty popular fad at our house. They love shirts that are pink, scarfs that are pink and especially pink shoes! I love when I can find something that I like for them in pink!

My daughter Hannah now owns a pair of "Josie" shoes from the Eleven Collection. They are the cutest pink and brown shoes I have seen yet! These are now Hannah's favorite pair of shoes and she wears them almost everywhere. I like them because they are made with soft leather uppers and rubber soles for superior traction. These shoes are going to last until she grows out of them. They look and feel comfortable too! If only they made them for us adults!

For those that have never heard of Eleven, they are family ran company that is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. They are also a sister company of the shoe company See Kai Run who also carries some very cute shoes for boys and girl. The Eleven Collection has some of the cutest shoes for boys and girls. Their shoes are available in whole sizes from (9-3). These are shoes for toddlers through early aged school children (3 to 8). My daughter gets tons of compliments on her shoes too! I wish I would have found this company earlier!

Below is some pictures of their different shoes from the Eleven line I thought I would share:

From the pictures above, you can see that they have a very cute variety of shoes. There are quite a few different pair I would like for Hannah. I would like to get a few for my son too! They have a shoe for your child for every occasion.

I am happy to announce that the Eleven Collection is offering one of my lucky readers a pair of Eleven shoes of their choice from their Fall/Winter collection.

Dress Your Doggy
Sometimes I wish I had a small little dog so I could dress it up in doggy clothing. I used to have a little chihuahua a few years ago and used to dress it in little shirts. The store Five Star Fido has a cute selection of Dog Costumes. They have a funny skunk costume I think dog lovers would get a kick out of.

My favorite is the mustard dog costume I have featured in this post.
Can you imagine the laughs you would get if you dressed your dog up as hot dog and walked down a main road?

Sharon Bolton Scents Review
I LOVE to smell pretty! If you ever come to my house and take a visit to my powder room, you will know how much I enjoy different perfumes, body spritzs, oils, etc. I also like to use something different each day of the week. My mother in law wears the same perfume every day and honestly, I don't like the smell.

I was very pleased with the perfume oils from Sharon Bolton Scents I got to try. There are four different fragrances from this line that includes: Dream, Luv, Soul and Truth. My daughters and I had fun trying out each fragrance to see which one we liked best. The best way to try a scent is to put it on your skin. I believe that a scent may smell different in a bottle than on your body. The perfume oils come in those little glass containers with a roller on the end. You can use it on your wrist, neck, etc. We put the perfume oils on our wrists and it lasts all day. Just a little bit goes a long way with this stuff. I spent the whole day smelling my wrist because I enjoyed the scent so much.

Here is a description of the scents from their website:

  • Dream - A heady concoction of fresh bergamot, white freesia, and mimosa with accords of amber, sandalwood and exotic musk. That's what dreams are made of!
  • Luv - An intoxicating, ultimately feminine scent of rare pink gardenia, lush Hawaiian white flowers, and a hint of creamy vanilla with a delicate whisper of white musk. What a way to fall in LUV!
  • Soul - Sweet tropical notes that will evoke a memory for your soul. Juicy papaya, luscious pineapple, and creamy coconut with undertones of clean musk. It’s enough to sweep you away to the islands.
  • Truth - A refreshing, clean citrus... think tangy lemon-lime... softened by an exotic floral and an airy, sheer musk... fresh like a warm sea breeze!

My favorite of the four fragrances is the Soul. Don't get me wrong, they all smell fabulous, but the Soul is definitely my favorite. My daughter Hannah who is only 4 really enjoyed the smell of it too. She asked me if she could have the bottle of it, of course I kept it for myself!

All of these awesome products are alcohol and phthalate free. Their packaging including the bottles are recyclable. Another thing is the packaging on these perfume oil boxes are so cute! They are designed with palm trees (my favorite tree) and little white ribbon around each box. Know that I put each bottle of the perfume oil back in the box along with the bow because I liked it so much. I am one that likes to keep stuff looking NEW!

Sharon Bolton Scents carries candles, body lotion, shower cream and the perfume oil all in these four different scents. You can either purchase them separately or in a gift set. If you have an interest in tropical inspired jewelry, they have some great pieces of jewelry too!

Cute Plus Size Clothing
Sometimes when you are not thin, it is hard to find cute clothing that you really want to buy. I have wished more days that you can imagine that I was skinny just so I can wear some of the cute clothing I used to wear or have seen in the mall that I really wanted. I was thin up until I had my first daughter. Now I need to lose about 20 pounds to be back to what I want to be. I just joined the gym a few days ago so hopefully I am on the right track.

There is a clothing store I found online called PlusSizeFix.com that has some very cute plus size women clothing for those interested. If you like to dress up, they have an awesome line of dressy tops you are sure to love. These tops are really trendy looking too! I love stuff that is in style. It really makes me feel good when I wear something that I know looks good and others will like too! This store also has some very cute dresses. Right now they are offering FREE ground shipping on all orders using the promo code FREESHIP.

Boys Will Be Boys
My husband is going to love being a kid no matter how old he is. He still enjoys stuff that all boys like such as skateboarding, biking, etc. Even though he is in his early thirties, he still has a skateboard he likes to mess around with on the driveway. This past weekend we went to the high school up the street and took out our little Hot Wheels go cart. Hannah had a blast driving the car around the baseball field. This thing is met for kids her age and the chain broke when Ariyona got on it. It is something that can be fixed but Hannah was mad.

If your son or husband is into skateboarding, check out Warehouse Skateboards. You can build your own custom skateboard on their site. Might be something I get for my husband for his next birthday!

Floam Review
Have you played with Floam yet? This stuff was designed for kids, but me being a mommy has had tons of fun playing with it too! I had heard of Floam before and my kids had been eager to have some of their own. Every time the commercial would come on, they would beg me to buy it. Well I got lucky and got some Floam for us to review. I got all sorts of different colors of containers of Floam. I even got Floam with sparkles. This stuff is too neat and fun to squish around in your hands. As well as the containers of Floam, we got some Floam kits to assemble. These were really AWESOME!

My kids had a blast with the Floam kits. My daughters enjoyed building the little Floam people as you can see in the pictures. They let them dry and now have them up on their shelves in their room. We even built a clock from a Floam kit too!

This stuff can have your children entertained for hours. I remember back with silly putty was the thing to have. Now it is Floam. It has a very unique feel and can be addicting. My daughter Hannah's preschool teacher came over today and Hannah had to show her how to make stuff with Floam too!

I bet once you play with it, you are going to have a hard time putting it away like me. It may be a good way to relieve stress too! Just put a bunch in your hand and squeeze away.

You can buy Floam, get ideas, participate in their contests and more at: www.FloamIt.com

My First Trip Back To The Gym
Last night I made a post about getting a gym membership. Well guess what? I actually made it to the gym last night for my first workout since I had my son. I have took a few walks with my son, but no real workouts at a gym. I did a whole 31 minute workout session. Now that might sound like a lot for those of you that exercise, but it is a lot for someone who has been lazy for over a year. I have been a gym member on and off and always like to start with just 30 minutes. I know that if I push myself any longer, I may just not want to come back.

What I need to learn more about is how to lose fat. I also want to learn how to increase my metabolism if possible. I remember when I was a teen being able to eat whatever I wanted and not gain a pound. Now I am stuck at the same weight and want to lose the extra weight I have gained during the last 6 months.

I found the site Gym Junkies that has some useful information about working out! They even have a mailing list where you can receive 5 free videos.

Got Stress?
Many of us deal with stress every day of our lives. I have four children so you know I have stress. Money can be stressful too at times. Did you know there is The Stress Institute? It was founded back in 1997 by Dr. Kathleen Hall who is an award winning writer and expert in stress and work-life balance.

Back when I had a job where I had to punch in a time clock, my days would be stressful. I honestly hated working for someone else. I hated doing things that made my boss money. Of course I was making money doing it, but they were making way more than me. The type of job I had was quite stressful and when I quit to stay at home with my children, a bunch of stress was then relieved. I feel for those who have stress related work. I am glad there are programs like The Stress Institute that can help people relieve their stress and anxiety. You can view the website for speakers on stress that might interest you!

Slanket Review And Giveaway
I have found my all time favorite blanket and I don't want to share it. I am always working on my computer, especially in the morning hours when the kids are still sleeping. It can be quite chilly at times at my house too when we turn of the heater . The heater happens to be in the back side of the house whereas I am working in the kitchen. Normally I will bring out a blanket or put on a sweatshirt to keep myself warm while I work. I am one that does not enjoy being cold. My new Slanket is the solution to working in happiness! This is my new blanket with arms. Not sure if you have heard about these blankets or not, but they are totally AWESOME. I am wearing my Slanket as I type this post.

Not only can I work on my computer with it, I can lay on the couch and read a book too! It is so soft and comfy that I think I might sleep with it too! These cool blankets come in 11 different colors. I got the Ruby Wine Slanket to review. I love the color too! Wondering about the measurements? These blankets are 60" x 95" with oversized arms. So ladies, your hubby might just want one of these too for lounging on the couch.

If you think your kids would want one of these, they have Slankets for kids too! These are a little bit smaller. The size on the kid's versions are 44" x 66" and come in 4 different colors. This might be a great gift for that special child on your shopping list.

You can buy your own Slanket at: http://www.theslanket.com

The awesome people at TheSlanket.com are offering one of my lucky readers a chance to win a Slanket of their choice too!

How To Win! - Please leave individual comments for each of the following below. Be sure to also leave your email address so I can contact you if you are the winner. Remember to follow the first rule or all the others will not count.

Make Some Extra Money With Surveys
I don't post too much about making money with surveys because sometimes it can be hard to really make money with these. Maybe I have not find the right programs. Don't get me wrong, I have made some money with surveys, just have not put that much time and effort into it because I make money in other ways.

This morning I read an interesting post on Nichole's Nickels about surveys she has signed up with. She has found a few survey programs with universities where you can earn money or Amazon gift certificates. I thought this was a little interesting and joined all the companies she mentioned. When I do make money with surveys, I love spending the rewards!

Here is the post in case you are interested too: http://nicolesnickels.blogspot.com/2009/02/earn-from-university-sponsored.html

Little Miss Hannah

Journal Buddies Review
I recently received a copy of Journal Buddies for girls for my daughter Ariyona. She just turned 12 and will be going to junior high next year. I had heard about these cool journals and thought this would be something she would really enjoy and get a kick out of.

Journal Buddies is a great way to help build your child's self esteem. They have both a girl and a boy version. It is not just any old journal either. It is a journal your child can share. They can interact with others and create a support system of buddies.

Your child can write just a few minutes daily in their journal which can contribute to them feeling better about themselves. I browsed the pages of the journal and it has some pretty cool things for your children to write and think about. It even came with a bag of stuff to decorate your pages with. This is a great way to encourage self esteem in young girls. My son is only 1 so he won't get one of these just yet. This journal gives your child an outlet to express their feelings, use their imagination, creativity and much more. I wish I would have had one of these when I was young!

Another great part to receiving this book was it was signed by the author especially for my daughter. Since my daughter is a bookworm and loves books, she really was excited to see that the author had wrote her name in the book.

These would make a great gift for daughters, nieces, granddaughters, etc. You can purchase one of these Journal Buddies by visiting the Journal Buddies Store.

Another Cool Furniture Spot Online
I have been searching online for the perfect set of couches to replace the ones I have. I want something nice but affordable at the same time. There are so many Discount Furniture stores online it is hard to find which one to make an actual purchase at. I found the site DiscountQualityFurniture.com that has a great variety of furniture at reasonable prices. I like leather so you know the picture in my post is of my favorite leather sofas from this site.

They have some very nice home office furniture too! I really need an extra bedroom here at the house for my own!

Time To Be More Healthy
I mentioned in my post earlier that I got a gym membership today. I have also been thinking of adding some supplements to my diet. I read somewhere today or yesterday that the B12 vitamin helps with the metabolism. I know I should be taking a daily vitamin if anything. There are a ton more supplements I should look into too! I was reading earlier that the beta glucan can help reduce the risks of cancer. I have never been too worried about my health until recently. Seems like I am having a hard time keeping of the weight and I am only getting older.

Do you take supplements, vitamins, etc?

Stefani

I Got A Gym Membership
It has been quite a while since I stepped foot in a gym. Its been almost a year I think. I love having gym memberships but lack the motivation to go as much as I should. The main reason I stopped going last year was because I had my son. When you have 3 other children + a newborn, my exercise usually consisted of the running around the house taking care of the family. We were out shopping today and my husband decided to get me a membership to the gym right down the street from my house. This gym is much closer than my other gym and a lot cheaper. I think I might go tonight for my first time. Hopefully my son will go to bed early and I can get out of the house for some time to myself.

Yah!

Stefani

Stuff For Your Hair
I will admit that I have thin hair. I am one that prefers thin hair over thick hair though. I am not going bald but my husband has a receding hair line. I am not sure if it is hereditary or because he has always worn a hat. I make jokes to him and tell him I am going to buy him a toupee. He does not think that my jokes are very funny. I like bald heads on men so I don't care if he goes bald. I was looking at the Toppik site today. This is a site with tons of hair products to help eliminate the appearance of balding and thinning hair. They have this XS laser that is for treatment of those with thinning hair. I have never heard of this but I guess it is something that has been getting worldwide attention lately. This laser light can improve the appearance and condition of fine or thinning hair with only three 10-15 minute treatments per week. So there is hope for those of you that thought y our man is stuck being bald.

Toppik has nail care, makeup and skin care too! I am a bath & body diva that loves trying out new shampoos, conditioners, lotions, etc. I am going to see what they have in store for me!

Coco-Zen Review

Have I ever told you I LOVE chocolate? If you are a reader of my blog, you know that I love chocolate no matter if I put it on my mouth or on my body. The smell is just so darn wonderful. I have a couple new chocolate products I am in love with.

Coco-Zen sent me their Chocolate Lips-To-Go set. This is a little tin of chocolate lip balm and a little tin of lip scrub. This stuff is too cool! The lip balm reminded me of the little tins I used to have as a kid with flavored lip balm. I did not have chocolate though.

This set makes a perfect gift for a chocolate fanatic like me. You can get the lip scrub and lip balm in a variety of chocolate flavors. I have been bringing this stuff with me in my purse everywhere I go. It gives me my chocolate fix when I need it. My oldest daughter tried to get it from me but I was not giving it up. This little chocolate lip set is all mine!

Coco-Zen has other fun chocolate products too! I can't wait to try their chocolate skin treats too! They have chocolate lotion, chocolate salt scrub and chocolate soap! Coco-Zen, you ROCK!

If you love to eat chocolate, they have truffles too! You can checkout all their cool chocolate stuff by clicking here.

Looking At Online Schools
I have been wanting to take some online classes for a long time. Since I have four children, it will be hard going to an actual campus to take a course or two. Having the ability to learn online with online schools is so cool! This is something that is on my mind all the time when I am at home. I feel like I should be using my spare time on something useful. Spare time is something that is pretty sparse here though.

I went to a couple vocational schools before I had my daughter Hannah five years ago. I took application development and learned computer programming. I actually learned how to create a computer program for my old job. They never used it though. I would like to see if they have online schools for graphics. I want to be able to make my own logos, headers, banner and button images. Now I know how to make basic graphics, but I want to be able to create them using techniques I don't know how to use yet.

There are many online schools for almost anything you want to do. Finding the right school is where the hard work comes in. So many different options to choose from!

Fun Family Game

What games do you like to play with your family? I know that one of the games my kids like to play with me and my husband is air hockey. When we go to a place that has a Sportcraft Air Hockey Table, they always beg to play.

We also love going to the miniature golf course to play on the little race cars they have. Those are super fun!

What do you do with your kids for fun?

Got Insurance For Your Assets?
If you are a renter, do you have renter's insurance? Not many people know they can get insurance to protect their belongings even when they do not own the home or condo they are living in. If you have assets that you treasure, it is wise to have some sort of protection for them in case of emergencies.

If you are thinking of getting this type of insurance, there are many companies you can research online. One of these types of insurance companies is Fort Worth Home Insurance. They provide protection for your furniture, electronics and other belongings. This is just one of many companies that can help you insure your stuff!

Bidray Penny Auctions
There is a brand new auction site you might be interested in. This new auction site is Bidray and it works a tad different than your normal auction sites . There bidding starts at a penny (.01 cent) with no reserves. With each bid placed, the price only goes up 1 cent. There is a timer to the auction and when a new bid is placed, the timer jumps to a predetermined time. There is a small fee for each bid, but well worth it if you see the auctions that have closed for some low prices. They call these auctions Penny Auctions.

You can view some of the hot items sold by visiting: http://www.bidray.com/sold.php. An 8GB iPod Touch sold for only $13.09, a wine cellar for only $3.07, a PlayStation 3 for only $7.96, etc. You can see it might be worth it to spend a few extra bucks on bidding on this site.

When you register, you can also receive 10 FREE bids. They are also offering the first 1,000 users will receive $10 too! Another cool feature of this auction site is the ability to bid with text messaging. The shipping is also 100% FREE. So what the auction closes at is the price you are going to pay.

Hooray For Coupons
I have been a coupon clipping mommy lately. I have also been looking online for coupons where you can get the product for FREE. Clipping coupons may be time consuming but can save a ton of money in the long run. I have a very cool coupon organizer that I got that I have been putting to use. My kids have also been looking out for coupons for mommy too!

For all of my online purchases, I always look for an online coupon code, promo code or some sort of deal to make my purchase sweeter! There are a ton of sites online where you can find these types of coupons such as the site PricePickle.com Coupons. With this particular site you can find some awesome deals on a ton of different merchants. It is very well organized. You can look for coupons by category, free shipping, coupons that are expiring, by merchant and exclusive offers. I would bookmark this one!

If you are making a purchase online, be sure to see if you can save some money. You might be able to get free shipping or something free. This past Christmas, I found some great offers when I was shipping online.

Emerson Creek Pottery Review
I am one that really loves pottery. I remember making different pottery when I was a child in school. I think my mom actually still has a few of thing things that I made. I would make some again if I had the supplies to do so.

If you adore pottery, you will love Emerson Creek Pottery. I received their Ceramic Brie Baker in the Iris Pattern. This lovely piece looks much better in my kitchen than in the picture I have included in this post. What I really like about this pottery is that each piece is handpainted. What that means is my brie baker is unique. While there may be another just like it, mine is actually one of a kind. This dish is perfect for baking cheeses, pot pies, desserts, etc. I love cooking in ceramic kitchenware.

Emerson Creek carries more than just this Brie Baker. They have ceramic dinner sets, ceramic dishes, salad plates, bowls, mugs, salt & pepper shakers, jars, soap dishes and so much more. They have more than just the Iris design too! You will find the following designs on their pottery: Rooster, Lavender, Red Poppy, Pinecone, Dragonfly, Cranberry, Tuscan Olive, Wisteria, Dogwood, Blueberry, Go Green, Buttercup and Snowman.

You can purchase Emerson Creek Pottery at: www.EmersonCreekPottery.com. Or you can
order a FREE catalog by visiting: http://www.emersoncreekpottery.com/catalog.shtml

Who Does Not Love Lucky Charms
Growing up, my Nana always had Lucky Charms in her pantry each time I would come over and visit. I would visit my Nana very often too! I knew each morning when I would wake up at her house, I would get to make something that I loved for breakfast. Of course my favorite part of the cereal was the cool marshmallows in it. I would make my bowl of cereal and keep the box on the table so I could read the back of the box while I ate my cereal. I also remember the cool commercials with the leprechaun for Lucky Charms. Every time I see a box of Lucky Charms, I think back when I was a child. It brings back good memories.

My son just turned 1 and has been trying out different finger foods. He really enjoyed his first taste of Lucky Charms. You can see in this picture he got a kick out of playing with it too! This is a cereal that I allow my children to eat too! Why? Well Lucky Charms fortified with 12 vitamins and minerals. So even though it is sweet, my children are getting some nutrition out of it too!

See if this commercial brings back any memories:
