I recently got an email that stressed me out ALL day today. I started this blog in 2004 with Blogger using their FTP service. The email that I got stated that they will be discontinuing their FTP service which I rely on to publish this blog to my website.
Okay, so I thought that I would be able to just import over to Wordpress. I am one that is usually NOT LUCKY and this time that was true. See Blogger/Google wants everyone to convert their blogs to their Custom Domains which means my blog is hosted on their servers. I thought about taking this route but then seen my HUGE problem. When I set this blog up, I never put the blog in its own directory. If I convert to Wordpress and don't put a directory its going to install to the home page of my website which I can't have.
I am very PISSED off at Blogger. For one they should have gave us bloggers a notice a little longer than they did. I am also going to lose ALL my subscribers as Wordpress creates a different feed address then the one that I have been using the last 5 1/2 years. My feed is the #2 file viewed on my site. Can you feel my pain?
So here is my plan. I have created a Wordpress blog at: http://www.mommyenterprises.com/moms-blog
I have been wanting this blog on the Wordpress platform anyhow. I am hoping that my viewers that read my blog through a feed reader will add the feed to my new blog.
Well I am off for now to work on my new design!

That sucks...I have heard a lot of negative things like that about Blogger. I personally haven't had any problems, but who knows...
Oh how upsetting. What a monkey wrench to throw into your online presence. I am sure you will do just fine with another service, etc. And, it does give you an opportunity to create a new look and feel. No time like the present! Best wishes on your changes - I am sure they will be for the better!
