It is only October and I am already thinking about Christmas. I think maybe it is the weather here that is bringing me into holiday mode. I have already been putting aways gifts aside for Christmas gifts.
Each year I am always buying those last minute gifts. There seems to be always someone that I forgot to buy something for. This year I have been finding things on sale and putting them aside in my Christmas gift bin. I bought one of those big plastic storage containers and have been putting things in the big that are going to be gifts. So instead of buying gifts all at the last minute, I have been thinking ahead.
A great way to get gifts "for free" to give is by entering online giveaways. Now I am not talking about entering sweepstakes where you have thousands of other people entering. I am talking about the blog giveaways on blogs like this one. You will find that there are only a couple hundred if not less people competing against you. I have won many things with these giveaways. I even have been hosting my own giveaways this past year.
You might be thinking that entering these giveaways is too much work. Well if you have a few minutes, it may just be worth it. Most of these giveaways offer you a chance to submit multiple entries. Most giveaways will require that you visit the sponsors website. Then many will allow extra entries by Tweeting about the giveaway, blogging about it, following them on facebook, etc. If you know you are going to be low on funds for Christmas this year, this might be a great way to start earning some free gifts to give. You will find many of these blog giveaways have less then 100 entries. If the blog giveaway you are entering allows you 5 entries and there is only a total of 100, you have a good chance of winning.
