Ever Checked Your Credit Report For Errors?
I recently wrote an article that was published on an identity theft website about a situation that happened to me a few years ago when my identity was stolen. My checks and credit card were used a whole weekend and my bank account was drained. Fortunately I was able to get my money back, but it did not happen right away.

It is very important that you always pull your credit report. Of course you will want to see your credit rating, but more importantly you will want to see if your report is accurate. You will want to file a dispute with the credit reporting agency on any items on your credit report that are incorrect or do not belong to you. I worked at a collection agency for over 8 years and know that identity theft happens to the best of us.

Having access to the internet makes checking your credit rating online very easy. You can go get access to your report online without having to wait in the mail to receive a copy.

Feel free to comment if you have any questions. While I am by no means an expert, I do have a wealth of information stored in my brain for working in the industry for 8 years!
