These are some cool tips for those of you moms in the kitchen!
- When making pancakes, use a meat baster to squeeze the batter onto the griddle.
- Stuff a miniature marshmallow in a sugar cone to prevent ice cream leaks.
- When boiling corn on the cob, add a pinch of sugar to bring out a natural sweet taste.
- Brown sugar will be more soft if you keep it in the freezer.
- Cottage cheese will stay more fresh if you store it upside down in the refrigerator.
- Use potatoes to take food stains off your fingers. Use raw potato on the stains and rinse.
- To remove burned food spots in your cast iron skillets, boil vinegar and salt in the skillet.
- To prevent cake from sticking to the pan, put the cake on a wet towel to cool when you take it out of the oven.

Thanks a ton for the kitchen hints, especially the lumpy brown sugar and the other about placing the cake tin on a wet towel. These two are going to save me some frustration.
