Just a few weeks ago there was a man that tried to abduct two girls walking home from our children's school. We live right behind the school and normally would have our two older daughters walk home since it is but only a few minutes for them to get home. Since this has happened we are sure to take them to school as well as pick them up. You can never be too safe when it comes to your children.

If you are wondering if you have any predators in your neighborhood, there is a website where you can track local sex offenders. You can visit the site http://www.tracksexoffenders.net/ and type in your zip code. It will then tell you how many are in your neighborhood. I typed in my zip code and it said I have 67 offenders in my area. You then have the option to get complete reports that allow you to type in any address and run a detailed report that will include a map, photographs and addresses of the offenders.

I have four children so I am one that likes to know if I have these type of people living near me, especially on my street. To my luck, there is not any on my street or any of the streets real close to me.
