Get A Free Credit Report To Check Your Credit
I am amazed by the amount of people I come in contact that don't know what is on their credit report. I worked at a collection agency for eight years and know it is very important to always check your credit report. You want to make sure that there is not stuff on there that is not supposed to be. You also want to make sure that all the bad stuff that should be gone is deleted. For those that don't know, negative items can only report for seven years. Sometimes the creditors though, do not delete or remove the negative mark right away. It is your job as the consumer to make sure your credit report is correct. I think you should at least pull your credit report once or twice a year. Then review your credit report and dispute the things that are inaccurate. See, when you dispute the inaccurate items, the creditor has 30 days to report back if the item is being report correctly. If they don't report back, it is then removed. There are three main credit reporting agencies you should be aware of. These are Transunion, Experian and Equifax.

If you cannot afford a credit report, see if you qualify or can receive a free credit report. If you go to www.3freecreditreportsnow.com you can get a 3 in one credit report that gives you your credit reports from all three of the agencies I mentioned before. You can also sign up for Identity Guard which will give you your credit scores and daily monitoring too!

Until Next Time
