I hate when it rains because the ants like to invade my house. They either like to come and invade my bathroom or my kitchen pantry. Today I took all the food out of the pantry and put new contact paper on my shelves. I don't think that is going to fix the problem, but my shelves look better now. My mother in law advised me to buy those little ant traps. I think I might try those if the ants keep coming back.

Terro is my favorite ant bait. They have stations, but we always just use the drops. It's basically borax in corn syrup, and if the ants like sweet, they go utterly bonkers for it.
We've had ant problems before and the best thing we ever did to treat them was Windex. Yep, Windex. Spray/clean everywhere you see them with it and especially wherever they seem to be coming in.
Try diazinon, which you can get from any garden supply store. Just sprinkle granules everywhere the dirt touches your house. No more ants inside, so no need for ant bait, Windex, contact paper, etc. Works like magic for me. It is easy, quick, inexpensive, and lasts for a whole season – or up to a year if you live where it gets cold.
