Have you ever needed a driver for a device on your computer and you could not find it? I have been pretty lucky to find most of the drivers I have ever needed online. I know that many things you buy will come with CDs with the drivers on them. Many will loose those CDs over the years though and need a place to look online when they need them. You just never know when you are going to need some sort of driver for your computer or laptop.
