Help For Missing Children
I feel for every parent out there that has a child that is missing. Every time those Amber Alert notifications come on my television, I get an upset feeling in my stomach. I think about what the family must be going through, when a child becomes missing. I think about, what if that was me in that situation. Luckily, there are non profit organizations that out there that provide help find missing children or abducted children. One of these companies I mention is Child Recovery International. They are a non profit agency that specialize in the recovery of missing persons. such as lost or stolen children. They provide services for all ages too! They are worldwide and can be reached 24 hours a day, every single day of the year. It is nice to know that there is help available at all times. I am a mom of 4 children and if any of them ever come up missing, I will be on the phone in a heartbeat. I would call everybody I could!

If you have children, you might want to bookmark their website. They have services for runaway teens. Their website can be located at: http://www.missing-children.net/

Hey Stefani,

I am a Police Officer. There is something very important here to mention..

Please sit down with your children and talk to them about Stranger Danger. Don't take it for granted that your children know that. Tell them what to do if a strangeer approaches them:

1. Do whatever they have to do in order to get away from that stranger.

2. Tell them to run away from the stranger and yell out loud that the person is NOT their parent and the person is a STRANGER

3. If the stranger grabs them, GIVE YOUR CHILDREN PERMISSION TO HIT THE STANGER OR KICK THEM... tell your children that they can do whatever they need to in order to get away from the stranger... tell them to hit the stranger very hard in the private area...

4. Tell them to yell out loud for the police or for someone to call 911 and of course notify the police as soon as they can.

Stefani, the other important thing is to know where your children are at all times. I am not trying to make people paranoid here but in today's society, you have to use caution.

As a parent, you should know all the names, addresses and phone numbers of their friends.

As a police officer, I have responded to missing person reports and the parents can't tell me where their children's friends live or their phone numbers.

As a parent, you have to get active...

Please let your children know that the stranger will come with a smile on their face and they will lie to your kids...

Tell your kids that if they don't know the person... he is a stranger..

I hope this helps... please take the time and talk with your children.. it could save their life.
