Are You A De La Hoya Fan?
Are you a boxing fan? If so you will be interested in this! Last year on May 5, 2007 there was a boxing superfight that took place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. The tickets for this event sold out after only three hours of being on sale. The fight was with six-division world champion Oscar De la Hoya and undefeated four-division champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. This superfight was one of the most lucrative boxing matches to take place brining in over $120 million dollars in revenue. It was hosted on Pay Per View TV and was $55 to watch at home. About 2.4 million people paid for the event which broke the records from 1.99 for the Evander Holyfield and Tyson fight. There was 12 rounds in which Mayweather won by split decision. Guess what? They are now planning a rematch that is going to take place on September 20, 2008. Floyd Mayweathers's WBC Welterweight Championship is now on the line! Oscar De La Hoya may even be backing off from his plans for a fight in May because of this big event.

Yes indeed.....

I AM an Oscar De La Hoya fan. I think he has been the one that has done the most for the whole fight game. Probably the most important force in boxing since Muhammad Ali and George Forman and the rumble in the jungle.
