Fenster Boarding School In Arizona
If you are in Arizona and have a teen, you might want to check out Fenster Boarding School For Teens. When I was growing up, I always thought boarding schools where for the bad kids but I had a wrong impression. Fenster was founded in 1944 and provides an environment where students can reach their individual potential. Their mission is to provide a caring and disciplined structure for their students. They want their students to achieve academic success, grow in self-esteem, develop responsibility, earn a high school diploma and gain acceptance into an appropriate college. You can find out more about this school and their curriculum by visiting: http://www.fenster-school.com

Hi,
I am a former fenster student. I only ended up going for a half a year. I would have gone back but there are many things that the parents do not see from the outside. There child/student can say all that they would like about how bad the school is but honestly who are the parents going to listen to. The head masters name is Don Saffer. I was one of his best students but i saw more than i would have liked. I personaly would not recommend this school to anyone.

For the love of all that is holy do NOT send your kid here. I knew a teacher and the stories I heard would curl your hair. Some of the staff apparently think license to use "tough love"= license to abuse.

Hi-
I am a former fenster student. I plead to all of you mothers out there to not send your child here if you care at all about there well-being. I attended fenster when I was in my teenage years for about a year and it was the most traumatic experience I ever encountered.I was abused in more than one case for 6 months straight and ended up having to go through 2 1/2 years of therapy because of it. I luckily got the help that I needed from another boarding school which ended up saving my life and healing the wounds that fenster created. Please do not send your child there

I am also a former student. Went about 6 months, which was the time it took for my pleading on the phone to my parents every night to work. I have done many drugs in the past, drink like a sailor, and have seen some messed up shit... but compared to Fenster boarding school, life is paradise. I'm not saying Fenster is hard on kids, and makes you do what you don't want to like school (which would be fine) I'm saying it's like a ghetto in Compton CA. You can do all the drugs you want, get caught, and they will NEVER boot you. Thats how they stay running. DONT SEND YOU KID THERE DAMN IT! haha Check out Wassatch Academy in Utah... it's very nice, went there after fenster.
