Christmas Lights - Use LED

It is almost Christmas time. That means it is going to be time to starting putting up those Christmas lights in and outside your house. I always end up buying new lights each year and this year will be going with the LED Xmas lights. I have been reading about these and they are a better choice than using the regular lights that you have been buying for years. These LED lights use 1/10th of the energy of the old style bulbs and will last more than 50,000 hours compared to 2,000 hours for standard incandescent lights. They also create less heat, which is less worry for those that worry about your Xmas tree catching on fire when you aren't home.
