So last night I installed a forum on Partyswap. I think its been without a forum about a year now. I just did the install but hadn't made any configurations to it yet. Well, tonight I go to add a theme and add some boards and there are already 2 people that joined and posted a spam message. Why can't they just leave this site alone.

Stef - I feel you pain.
What it indicates is that there are tousands of people out there trying to spread a message - and have not found an effective way of getting it out. I found you by searching "work at home blogs" in google - congrats you were near the top! The SPAM rules are extremely tough on SPAMMERS - and you should be able to get the IP address of the culprits and report them. I do know that you can also report the incident to the host of the offending party, and they will shut them down.
Many people use "shared" hosting accounts now to cut costs, etc. What they do not realize is a "spammer" who might be on the same account could get the entire server shut down. Anyway - my .02
You have a great Google rank - but I hate to see that you are not monetizing this position better. I might be able to help, shoot me an email or PM if interested.
