What Is A Contract Bond?
Have you heard the word bond? Did you know there are different types of bonds. Today I am going to cover a contract bond. When you are involved in the construction/labor industry you will hear the term "contract bond" and need to know what it is all about.

A contract bond will guarantee the contractor will perform the work that they have agreed upon. This bond will guarantee they will pay their suppliers, subcontractors and laborers. If you are in the construction field or plan to involve yourself someday, you will want to learn the different laws, requirements, bonds need, etc.

Now out of a contract bond, there comes different types:
  • Bid Bond
  • Construction Bond
  • Maintenance Bond
  • Payment Bond
  • Site Improvement Bond
  • Subdivision Bond
  • Supply Bond
Sounds like a lot of bonds huh? Well certain bonds are required for certain things. It is like insuring everything that needs to be done. Now a contract bond is not the only surety bond out there.
