I hope everyone is enjoying the new year. I myself am starting the new year off to a good start. I have set aside some small goals for myself as well as some larger goals I hope to accomplish throughout the year.
My small goals include keeping up with emails, link exchanges and of course adding content to my sites daily. I have got a good start though this year and I am pretty excited. I am also doing a little reorganizing of how I keep track of things.
My bigger goals include starting and finishing a new website. I already ordered the domain and came up with a game plan, just have to put the website together.
I want to go through my websites as well and get rid of all the bad links on my site. I downloaded a program last night called "Web Link Validator" with a free 30 day trial. The software performs thorough analysis of a Web site: finds broken links (including those using JavaScript and Flash), orphaned files, slow-loading, deep, outdated and small-sized pages. You give it a link and fill in the appropriate settings and it will check your outbound links for you. This is really helpful for my link directory as I don't have time to individually click on the links.
